Fa gave a curt nod, "I can teach you to ride, as well, since Sou seems to have misplaced all his sense and diplomatic tact." She said with a half hearted glare to Nu Sou. In all honesty, the look was more out of habit than anything else.
"How you managed to unite so many will forever be beyond me." She muttered as she gracefully mounted Bon-hwa and held out a hand for Yue, "Do they have no horses in the Jin Lian territories?" Fa asked, genuinely curious. She had a deep seeded love of horses and often wondered who those that did not have ready access or simply felt they had no use managed to get by.

"No, there are too many rivers and lakes and ponds." She took Fa's hand and followed suit as well as she cold. "We tried once, the horses had been gifts to my mother before I was born. But, they were attacked by hoof rot, and we are healers of man, not beast." She gave a small grin. "Not that there is a difference sometimes."

Fa smiled at that. She had never fully understood the difference between humans and animals, herself. But the smile quickly faded as she started Bon-hwa forward, "Horses were foraged from wind and fire. It makes sense they would not do so well with water." she said mater-of-factly. She had never really traveled beyond the planes so it was difficult for her to imagine what Yue's home looked like, though she tried very hard.
((I'm unpacking and trying to get my cat settled in at my new home so I'll probably be less active than I'd like to be. And what happened to Ning, the water mystic?))

((He fell in the toilet and drowned of course! Dun worry about it, I actually have to wake at 5 so I'm ready to log off. sweatdrop ))
"And my home is Water and Earth," Yue laughed, holding tightly. "I haven't been on a horse since I was three." Her giggles continued a bit. "I think my father liked horses as well." She didn't remember much about Xin Xu land, except that it was green, and a bit cold. One day, she hoped to go visit it, preferably before her grandmother died. "You will have to come to my homeland sometime Fa."

Fa was a bit surprised. The first and only person to ever invite her to their homeland had been Nu Sou. But she quickly recovered and nodded, "I would very much like to see it one day. I have seen Brave Shu's home, and The Letch, Nu Sou's home. Hopefully I will add yours to that list."
Fa liked to travel, despite her usually cold reception. She loved the beauty of the land. They way it could so easily mix all elements together in such a perfect way had always been something she was drawn to.
((Well, good night then!))

((Sorry all, new computer after the old one crashed and my laptop's new antivirus is being a brat >.< But I am back from the dead!))
"I hope you can swim then," Yue laughed as she rode behind Fa. "And you Nu SOu, if you really are wanting an ally with the Jin Lian You should come visit as well. Though I'd tone your behavior down a bit."

((Okay, with work life and personal life in shambles, it has been, to say the least, difficult for me to post. With Munkies' computer issues, it is impossible for her to post until the 9th. I was hoping once we can go 100%, are there any chat programs you ladies use? Then we could schedule times to all be on, and just go for an hour or so. That way for me there's a schedule to follow and I'll be more likely to get on, and it will make these scenes more proportionate time wise. I was thinking Barton Town wouldn't be a bad place if nothing else can work.))
"Swim? Not really. That's what boats are for. Is it common for your people to swim? Found no use for it myself." He took a few sips from his gourd, looking up at the sunny sky. "To Xu with this blasted heat. Wish it were colder." Then Nu Sou thought of a battle in the harsh snow, with winds blowing so fiercely that all it touched was turned to ice. "Gods bless Xu," he smiled, riding on.

"The cold?" Yue deadpanned. If she hated anything in life it was the cold. "Yes it is very common for us to swim, the women have their own private pool, as do the men." Something truly wicked passed through her mind just then and she fought to hide the grin. "You know, swimming does help with bloodflow and many couples find it fascinating to copulate in the water. Although at your age it might just be dangerous. Ah well, perhaps your son could learn hmm?"
