He used it as a secondary West Coast base of operations when he was working professionally. None of his former clients know about it. He abandoned the primary one after a AM Police raid in 2021 and made this one his home. It's fantastic.

I think you may have misunderstood me, my dear. Dave expects you're going to stick around. In fact, if you try to leave without him, he's going to try and stop you. You got injured under his protection, and he's honor-bound to see you to safety and to your health.
That's what makes him the Transporter and not just some common goon that can drive. Your character would know this from the stories she heard about Transporter out East. It's not you I'm telling to go hide, its the rest of the group. Dave expects you to come back to the warehouse with him, to get patched up.
