Venus narrowed her eyes at the guy who was seeming to big for his britches claimed she threatened some prince. She snorted. "I was merely asking if there would be an incentive. Like something for me to jog my memory. Your little fire ball doesn't scare me. Many ghostlings can do odd things because they have some fancy powers." Venus then went back to examining her nails. they seemed to gleam no matter what angle she held them up at. The sight pleased her very much. "Anyway. I doubt I'll she your little girlfriend. I'm not much for looking at girls. They are quite plain and can be rather..." She tapped her chin lightly trying to find the correct term for a female but she failed..."Well they can be quite cruel and I have no need or desire to meet with cruel girls. Most guys can be persuaded at times not to be cruel." Venus merely shrugged before darkness licked at her feet. "If I see her however I'll think about speaking to her." And with her last words she watched the so called prince as she sank down in the darkness leaving that alley way that he occupied.

Ember looked over at Priscilla in surprise and for a moment just stared, before struggling out of the other ghostling's grasp. "There's a sea monster, we should go see!" Not waiting for an answer from the frilly dressed ghostling Ember shot off in the direction of the shoreline her little eyes opened wide half in excitement and half in fear. Once she stopped at the edge of the shore she paused a moment to watch the battle starting up in the water, "Get the sea monster! Geeeeet it!" Ember jumped in place attempting to get just a bit higher in hopes of a better view, if the sea monster was going to attack the harbor she was going to be sure to get a good view.
Azshara started at the sudden intrusion, it seemed there were other ghostlings in the area. At the first smack she tightened her watery grasp on the human and flung a tentacle out attempting to smack Touma in the face. Her eyes shifted to the mask on his head, taking her attention from the man the living was able to struggle free. Using another tentacle to lash out at Touma this time she aimed for his mask hoping to knock it free. The startled and rather frightened man started toward shore.

She hadn't really paid any attention to the little voice, but she certainly did when a small body was suddenly shoved into her arms. She stared back at the baby ghostling in shock. She didn't even know there could be babies of her kind! And.. well, to be perfectly honest, Prissy was not at all the motherly sort. So it was that when the child wriggled in her grasp, she simply let her go. It didn't occur to her to hold her tight or prevent her from running off. But as the little thing took off arounda corner, it occured to her that Touma probably hadn't handed her the baby with the intention of her just getting down immediately.
With a regretful call, she took off after the madly toddling child. She tripped once on that stupid loose lace and fell flat on her face. Even so, she scrambled up and hustled after the baby. When she arrived on the scene, there apparently was a battle going on, and Touma was looking like the hero. Mildly alarmed, she glanced from him to the monster, then down to the child, who was whooping excitedly as if this were some sports event. She wrinkled her nose distastefully and hesitantly tried to grasp one of the waving, bouncing hands. How exactly was one supposed to contain these things? It was a foreign concept to the prissy Priscilla to hold and cuddle a little thing. It simply didn't occur to her.

Touma frowned. "Ouch!" he growled when she hit him. It really had not hurt but it could have. But when his mask got wet and went askew, he reacted. His eyes widened in fury as he reached out to smack her tentacle again. He was soaked and she had messed with his mask of all things. Looking around he wanted a weapon as he straightened his mask. He wasn't sure where his blade was but when he found it she would be in big trouble. Then he spotted the fishing pole.
"Aha!" he snarled. "This will work! Touch my mask again, and I will chop you up into little pieces and use you for fishbait!" Touma brandished the rod snapping it back and forth trying to sting her tentacles with it. He was angry at being interrupted from what had otherwise been a fun time.
Valkon frowned shaking his head. "I don't want either Az or Kita back either. I think Chronos is needed here. Not entirely certain why but he is. I do know that at some point we could end up stronger than Az is and he will have nothing to hold us with. There are still those markings right now, Lestat. I'm tired of being on strings too, but there has to be a way to cut them. Even if it's facing him in the future."
"I just think it's worth the chance." Valkon stated, folding his arms. "I'm not done getting what I want either." His tails twitched again. "I've got things to do, but I don't abandon a friend. But besides that, do you want to leave someone as skilled as Chronos in Az's hands? What could they do? I say leave Kita and Az both there, but get what we want in the process. And believe it or not, Az did protect us all. I'll bring him back. I owe him that much, but with all of us using his power against him, who is to say we cannot shove him back out whenever we want him out It might have been for his own needs, but it was no less accepted by us for our own reasons. Kita could not care less. She didn't want any of us. But you also have to remember, I'm no saint. I probably would have been Kita's if I had died another way. But I didn't."
Then he suddenly smirked. "And my crows will be here soon enough. I already sent one from here after them. And I may take you up on the animals if you can find some wolves. I've been unable to get a full panther skeleton yet. Or a dragon though I have an idea for it. I nearly have a snake, a monkey, and a skunk done, but not sure what help they would have been anyhow. But I do have something I need to do shortly. And I was looking for Loa, Fosull, and Lacroix. I've been unable to find any of them."
It was then he noticed the rat. "Well, well, what have we here?" Valkon asked as he watched the black and white rodent. Shifting suddenly, he squeaked out asking the rat what he wanted. He was obviously looking for something. But just then Hawke came running up to him. Tai close behind.
"Dad! Dad! There's a sea monster at the docks! I swear! I heard some little ghostling yelling about it!" He blinked in surprise at the rat that was there. It wasn't any rat he knew. But then he remembered the sea monster again. "It's attacking the docks! Can we go see?" He was excited. He'd never seen a sea monster. "Maybe it has bones. If someone kills it you could get the bones and be a sea monster whenever you wanted." He was suddenly proud of himself for thinking that.
Then he remembered. "By the way.. ran into momma. And Fosull. She was playing with a dead rat. Fosull. Not momma."
Valkon glanced over at the rat instructing him to tell him quick what he wanted. He had a sea monster to go check out. This could be interesing and he hoped Lestat was as interested as he was by it. But either way he was going. He had a mission to perform anyhow. It could be the distraction he needed from Watcher.
Kael stared at the spot the succubus had disappeared from. He shook his head. What did she expect? Noone extorts from him. Though he would have liked to have met her warlock. Perhaps another time when the fellow had more control over her.
Turning back to Percy. "Not shiny no. But some might be. Some are plants. Others might be metals or rocks. Some things could be liquid. Just bring me the odd things you find and I'll tell you whether they are good or not." Reaching out he focused on the pouch Percy carried. The spell caused his fingers to glow and he sent it directly into the bag. "There. That should do it." He started to move away and then asked, "What is your name? And you could bring bottles too if you find any that I might need. No chips or cracks in them though.

Percy listened carefully to the instructions, then watched in amazement as the magicker touched his pouch and made his fingers glow. Nearly dancing with excitmenet, he reached a mitt expermientally into the pouch. This wasn't just to test the pouch, but also to ensure that his precious pocketwatch was still there. He'd meant to take it out before it was magicked, but hadn't had the chance. He hadn't exactly expected it to be done while he was still wearing it. He hadn't even realized that was possible!
Sure enough, there was the watch, safely tucked in what felt like a much bigger inside than the pouch should have contained. It didn't feel bottomless, which he supposed was a good thing. But it definitely felt bigger! His eyes filled with utter glee and he capered in a little circle, his large boots making a lovely clatter on the street cobbles. His tails twirled even after he stopped to answer his new master. "I'm Percy, and I'll bring you anything and everything I find that magicky." For this was how he tended to think of what his new benefactor did. He clomped about in another joyous circle before asking, "And what am I to call you, sir?" The last word was tacked on somewhat hesitantly. He had said he was a prince, after all, hadn't he? Did someone like him get to call him sir? The memory of that fireball gave him pause, and he hoped he hadn't insulted his new employer.
Imagine the rat's bafflement when one of the ghosts... turned into a ghost rat! He spent a moment just staring motionless at the creature, debating whether to run for his life or take advantage of this development. Rompastomp had jsut made up his mind to trust the new rat-ghostling when another ran up. Not a rat... or at least not yet? Rompa cleaned his paws nervously as the younger ghostling spoke to the rat-ghostling, hopping up and down excitedly. The stomping of those little feet reminded him of his own master, which made him sad. He folded his ears and his whiskers wilted.
But the rat-ghost was telling him to hurry and tell him, so hurry he did. He squeaked about his yokai master and how he was gone and missing. Was he maybe here, Rompa wanted to know? Of course, he didn't use words. He was only a rat! But even rats know how to talk to other rats. Percy was able to understand him without those words, mostly just because they were such good friends. How he missed him! Where had he gone?

She pulled down her tentacles away from Touma hissing up at the charm dragon, where he hit her was already aching badly. If only she could get him down in her element more. Her gaze shifted to the pole he held brandishing it at her, her blue eyes flashing with a harsh angry glow at the insult.
Letting her anger move through the water a watery tentacle threw itself up at the charm dragon. Azshara was not attempting to actually do much damage to touma with the water she just wanted him lower so she could grab onto him to pull him down.
Ember's eyes went up to look at Priscilla as she arrived, the young ghostling beamed. "You came! Look at it?!" Ember hopped once again looking out at the water, catching site of Prissy's hand she grabbed on using it to help pull her up just a bit more so she could get that much more height. "I think the mask guy is going to win!"
Loa caught sight of Valkon and Hawke as they headed down to the water, "lets go catch up with your father and brother," Loa took a moment to glance over to Fosull before starting off down to the water and hopefully to meet up with those she knew.
Climbing up on Samedi's back Fosull grinned up at her mother, "I think I'll be able to catch them." Gripping her legs tight around the lore Fosull let out a laugh as samedi sprung along the path down to the water edge.
Jaina's gaze drifted over the smoldering remains of the tent, her blue eyes moved over the area before settling on Kael. The sorceress stood a long moment watching Kael unsure if she should continue on toward him or chose another direction. Setting her shoulders back and standing tall she decided this was not the time for shyness; after all she was no longer an apprentice and had not been for sometime.

Valkon stared at the rat a moment. Then he told him that he had seen such a blue ghostling stealing shinies in the square as he clattered around in oversized boots. He was most likely still there around the tents taking things. Unshifting after telling the creature to be careful, Valkon glanced towards the docks.
"Lestat, I'm going to see this. Hawke, you and Tai can watch but do it from a distance. I don't want to have to pull you from trouble." He glanced at the sky one more time before changing to a crow. Then he was in the sky and flying in a circle high overhead. For a moment he joined the crows there again, then he turned towards the water he could see just at the edge of the city. The docks would be there. Valkon dropped down quickly as he moved towards the boats. There were various colors and he flew down the first row quickly, but sadly did not see what he was looking for. The boats here had various markings but nothing like his needs were.
Then he noted what the disturbance truly was. It was not exactly a sea monster but a ghostling of some sort. She simply had tentacles. But the other ghostling he had seen before. It was the charm dragon that had talked to Watcher. He suddenly laughed. The goody two shoes was brandishing a fishing pole at her.
Watching the charm dragon brought back the thought of Watcher. Something about the creature bothered him, but why? And why did he seem to constantly run into Watcher when he was about to do something? Was it to make him think or something else?
Watcher had said, "I am the construct of fate, my strings are tied to any who summon me. This is why I am here, this is what I do. I serve my purpose with no regret. I do not feel joy, I do not feel regret, I do not feel anger."
Valkon hesitated as this thought occurred to him. He should have asked that. Perhaps he would next time. He was certain he would run into the foul creature again. It would not have tossed that memory at him and then left if not sure of seeing him again.
And it had questioned his loyalty to Az. Valkon had told him at the start that he was only loyal until he had what he wanted. But bringing Az back would cause harm and more trouble. Perhaps all those here deserved it. Perhaps not. He suddenly shifted to himself as he moved towards the next dock growling in frustration at the tangent his thoughts had gone off on. But he knew why he did this. It was not entirely for Az. But Chronos.
Chronos was a friend. Az was a byproduct of that. A necessity when there had been survival on the line. If he could pull Chronos there without Az, he would, but he was certain he could not unless something major happened to land in his lap. But as he thought about that, he suddenly smirked, eyes narrowing thoughtfully. Perhaps he could not break the strings, but if he tangled them enough and made a mess of whatever was happening, then perhaps those pulling the strings would move on to newer toys and leave the rest alone.
Az would upset the balance if he reappeared. That should tangle things nicely. And everyone knew that sometimes tangled threads not only broke, but were sometimes cut freeing the puppet. Maybe he was not entirely loyal to Azmodeus. But he was not loyal to Kita nor these new goddesses either. Az was the the only one who did anything to help him. Kita had abandoned him and the goddesses.. well, they did throw a good party. He was having fun.
With a smirk firmly settled on his face, he watched the fight between the two ghostlings. Walking down the pier, the entity looked for the sign he needed. When he found two boats just as described nearby, he suddenly stopped glancing around for... he laughed. Watcher. He was suddenly certain that he would show up again. It seemed to be his duty to irritate Valkon but the entity slipped to the side to watch the sea monster. He wondered as he watched Azhara. A sudden grin broke out. Perhaps. He had a plan anyhow.
Then he noted Fosull on Loa's lore. "Fosull, Hawke said you were here." Valkon winked at his daughter. "Did you keep the rat or toss it?" Then he laughed as he folded his arms to watch the two ghostlings.
Hawke followed his father with Tai close behind all the way to the docks. His eyes were excitedly watching the fight when he saw them. She did sort of look like a sea monster and he laughed as she splashed Touma. This was going to be worth coming to see.
Kael nodded to Percy, smiling faintly at the sir. It worked. "My name is Kael'thas. It is very nice to meet you, Percy. The bag should work for as long as you have it. Just bring them to the tower whenever you find them. I think I will be going there now. I want to get some things started and see what else I need. You know where to find me."
He turned to leave but then saw the blonde hair. "Jaina! Then you are here." Kael suddenly glanced around him. He wondered if he were here also. Hopefully not. "I was not sure. I've seen noone that I know. Other than you."
He sputtered when the water hit him fully, but snapped the fishing pole back at her as he sank a bit lower. Then he blinked. His wings were really soaking wet now. But then he noted that the human was entirely gone. He'd run for the town square. The charm dragon suddenly grinned.
"Too bad, fishbait. He got away. And I better not catch you trying to drown anymore humans." Touma smirked backing away from her. Adjusting his mask, he shook his wings off, scattering the water droplets everywhere and flew a bit higher. Definitely out of her reach. Then he noted all those watching, shrugged and moved towards Priscilla and Ember. "Priscilla, let's go find some thread and a needle for you."

Rompastomp squeaked his thanks after the strange creature had changed shape again, unmindful if he'd been heard or not. He scampered out from under foot and headed in the direction indicated. There was no doubt that this was his Percy that the odd ghost-rat-yokai had seen. He'd yet to see another ghostling with oversize boots that stole shinies. Satisfied, the black and white rodent made his winding way toward the cetner of town.
An awful lot of water was being splashed around. Prissy couldn't help flinching back at the idea of any of it getting on her. Bad enough her dress was ripped and her hat squashed. To get wet would seal the deal for her, and she'd be leaving, finding somewhere to hole up and pout. The child's grip on her hand somewhat surprised her. Strong little thing, wasn't she? Others came rushing up, and the charm dragon edged a little closer to the baby, glancing around them uneasily. Little ones needed protection, didn't they? Oh my, what a mess this was. She didn't know how to care for a child!
But then the battle, such as it was, appeared to be over with. Here came Touma! Relieved, Priscilla released the little girl's hand immediately, once more unaware that it was best to keep hold of such a vulnerable thing. She could have kissed Touma, she was so happy he'd returned and she could stop worrying over the baby. Not only that, but he said they could go look for a way to finally put her rainment in proper order again! She instead gave him a brilliant smile of welcome. "Sounds good to me, but," a sudden thought crossed her mind, and she looked down at the child. "What about her?"
Percy was a happy camper. He was given permission to root through all sorts of things, which were sure to ahve shinies nearby too! He gave a boyish whoop and set off down the alleyway at a speedy clip, leaving his employer to his discussion with whoever that girl had been. For now, his only concern was his own personal treasure hunt! He nearly sang as he skipped along, heading for the main square and more of the (unincinerated) stalls and booths. They were sure to have interesting things stowed under their tables!

Settling back on Samedi Fosull smiled looking over at her father, "hello Daddy - and no I didn't keep the rat. Not enough time to do anything useful with it anyways." Her bright eyes went over the slowly calming waters, "sort of sad that it really wasn't a sea monster," shifting some in her seat Fosull looked behind her, "mum should be here in not too awful long."
Loa caught up with Hawke but before she settled on anything in particular her eyes drifted out to the water and widened some. It seemed that not all those had been drawn here were getting along. Watching the sea witch's attack on Touma Loa tsked softly the tentacled ghostling wasn't concentrating her power, so the tentacles of water where not hitting solidly. She wondered if the tentacled one knew that and if she didn't if she would really listen.
Her eyes drifted to Touma's final moments of threat with the fishing pole and a dark amused grin came to her face. The hero she decided was a bit more then just silly. Once things started to settle she looked over the area until her eyes fell on Samedi and Fosull, "lets go catch up with your sister and father." Loa spoke looking down to Hawke and gestured ahead.
Snarling some Azshara's eyes flickered over to the fallen fishing pole snaking a tentacle out she pulled it over and using one of her others snapped in in half. Swiveling in the water she threw the two pieces of pole at the charm dragon before sinking back down into the waters. Using her powerful muscles she moved under the pier settling in sullenly her eyes gleaming some in the darkness of the water as her mind started to process what had happened and how best her revenge could be found.
Ember sighed some as the exciting splashing of water and flashing of tentacles ended. There was a brief moment of pouting before her gaze fixated on Touma, "yay! You got the monster!" Bouncing once again in glee instead of running off when released she turns and gives Priscilla a tight happy hug.
Her little eyes went up to look at Priscilla and then Touma, canting her head to the side she was more then aware that they were talking about her. "We should pick flowers! And fight monsters!" Letting go of Prissy she gestured wildly in what she assumed must be some sort of wonderful battle form.
Jaina watched Kael for a long moment, there was a turmoil and really she just didn't know how to react. "This is a strange way to meet again..." she turned some until her gaze went to the smoldering tent, "I see your getting along with the locals," a hint of dry humor tinged her voice.
Propping her staff next to her she leaned some to rest against it, "but now onto what is happening here now. Do you know why we have all been gathered here? And what is going on?" Straight down to business she decided perhaps it would cut away some of the awkwardness.

The Watcher, just as thought, appeared off the coast line, but not close enough to talk to. He nearly blended into the horizon, but his single glowing red eye stood out like a sore thumb. It just sat there and watched the commotion and Valkon.

Shrugging, the charm dragon said, "She can come with us. More than likely she'll get bored and find where she belongs or someone will come to claim her. I think that old lady probably has some sewing things in her house. I remember seeing a quilt she was working on in the chair just inside her living room. Let's go back there and see what we can find. I don't think she'd mind if we used it."
Turning to Ember he said, "Do you have a name? And parents? Won't someone be looking for you? You can come with us for now." He was not quite certain why she was here all alone but she appeared to be.
Walking forwards, Valkon sat down near the end of the dock. Azshara was nearby. He knew it. "Hey, interested in some fun?" he called hoping she'd answer. "I have a proposition for you and I"m sure you will get some fun out of it." Unsure whether she'd answer or not, he continued. He told her all about a certain irritant and that she could have him when he showed up if she wanted. Describing what he thought she should do, he laughed. "I don't think the charm dragon is returning so he won't be around to stop you. What do you think?"
Hawke walked over to his father, watching the water closely. "What are you doing, Dad?" he asked frowning slightly. He could not hear anything his father had said. But his tails were twitching. That meant trouble for someone.
Turning back to watch his mother a moment, he said, "I'm going back to the park. Dad, here's your paper and pen you wanted. I did get them, but I lost Chief somewhere. I'm going back to look for him in the park and square."
"Fine, Hawke. I'll be there shortly. I'll take the paper and pen though." Valkon said turning around to take the items from his son. He glanced over at Loa and Fosull. "Why don't you go with him? Look for Lacroix. I've not seen him yet. I'm going to see if I can get some bones from her. I could use a water form." It was one of his motives. But not entirely the only option he had. There were more and some he would enjoy more than others.
Kael watched Jaina for a moment. "I have no idea. I was looking at a tower and thinking how to use it when I was suddenly here. I thought I could use some bottles for potions later and since they were so plentiful, decided to take a few with me."
"And the fireball was aimed at a succubus who thought to extort something from me. The little one is Percy. I do know there was some sort of commotion earlier. A yokai and something else." He shrugged. "None of my concern. I wonder where everyone we know are." A frown creased his brow as he thought about his people. Scattered? Gone? Dead? Who was left? And how would he know? "This seems to be some sort of festival dedicated to two goddesses. All those alive seem to be talking of little else."
He watched her a moment. "It is good to see you again, Jaina."

Alnara continued to wander about the square looking for the paper when there was a sudden commotion being caused at the docks. It didn't seem like anything important she needed to worry about, but out of curiosity, she headed in that direction. As she made her way down the path, she ran right into Hawke without paying attention to what was in front of her. Alnara gasped and apologized,"Sorry Hawke!" Alnara gave him a hand to help him up,"Did you find the paper? and what's going on at the docks?" Alnara pulled him up with her right hand,"And where the heck did Chief go?" Alnara glanced over at Tai,who was kinda just chilling beside Hawke.

There came a strange noise from the clock tower as it struck the next hour. The lights in the sky changed their patterns and reversed direction. None of the humans seemed to know what -that- was, but simply passed it off as something new for the festival this year.
From the clock tower odd beings thought to have been extinct were pulled into the square to enjoy the festival as well. How or why this happened is a mystery...

Seeing Touma returning Ember let out a little cheer, bouncing in place a moment instead of fleeing when Prissy let her hand go she turned and clung to the ghostling giving her a tight hug.
She let go of Prissy her magenta eyes drifting up to watch the pair, beaming some as she watched their expressions and gestures. Catching the question asked of her she answered in a young rather excited voice, "I'm Ember...and parents," the young ghostling just shrugged slightly.
"So I can come with you? We should have a slumber party!" She looked up at Prissy with big eyes and then Touma at the suggestion.
Loa's gaze dropped to Hawke and then Alnara, she watched the two ghostlings interact. Shifting slightly she looked over to Valkon, she didn't think she'd care for the pink ghostling much but until there was a problem she wouldn't let it bother her too much.
She watched Valkon for a long moment, her gaze drifting over the other entity they seemed to have known each other for a long time and yet no time at all. So now she was left wondering if she had know him better if she would have known he is up to something or still been left to speculate as she was now.
Her gaze moved down to Hawke and then toward Fosull on the back of Samedi, "Lets go and see if we can find your brother and perhaps a place to settle in. I need a lab and a few other things."
Fosull had moved over and was watching the water her father seemed to be talking to curiously. She wanted to see the ghostling with tentacles again, she wondered what it had been like in life. But then her mother's voice reached her ears and she sighed, "alright," a smile quickly came to the young ghostlings lips however. "Since most our fetishes were left behind that means we are going to have to make new ones," a hint of glee was in Fosull's voice as she spoke, they'd need lots of bones and such and she loved collecting them.
Loa looked over toward her daughter with a bit of a smile, "yes we will need to recreate many things if we are to survive here." She then looked to Hawke, "ready to head to the park?" Her gaze just barely went to Alnara but not for long before looking to Hawke.
She could feel the vibrations in the water, moving some from her spot Azshara looked up toward the pier, someone was leaning over calling for her; her tentacle twitched in annoyance. After a few moments of one of her tentacles twitching like the tail of an angry cat she swam upwards toward the sound; if it was that charm dragon or one of his friends this would get nasty she promised herself.
Surfacing slowly she watched Valkon before submerging up to her waist, since it wasn't Touma instead of anger or frustration a smile fell upon her full lips. Despite her current form at one time her beauty was not matched by any others and still some of that shown through, "why hello, you were calling for me?"
Jaina had forced herself to relax some as she leaned against the staff, "a tower? If you don't mind I'd like to have a look at that especially if your going to make an area for magic study there."
She smiled at the sentiment, "It's good to see you again as well Kael..." her sentence trailed off as her eyes went to look at one of the random people wandering by, "it's strange, I feel disconnected...my isle and people... just - " sighing gently she rested more heavily against the staff before looking to Kael again, "where is this tower at exactly?"
