Tokioka BlacksandBlues Tokioka yalie5 BlacksandBlues *swtiches to German* Was? mrgreen uh... my german's not that great... but um... guten tag! xd Springtime for Hitler and Germany! blaugh The Producers ish cool. 3nodding mrgreen Ja ja ja! 3nodding I wanted to see that film... Is it any good? What's it about anyway!? xd I haven't seen the film but I went to see the actual musical in London. It rules!! blaugh Erm the plot is sort of weird. These two producers are trying to make the biggest broadway flop, which means they get to keep any excess money that wasn't used during production. They find a script written by a nazi and then they make a musical about hitler! xd I don't know if the movie version is as good, but the musical is definitely worth seeing! 3nodding hmm... you've got me... now i'm intrested. is it only playing in london? the musical i mean.

But yalie-chan, why'd you want to know? Do you live in London? *is confused* Don't you live in the USA? Or are you just asking? I never knew there was a musical... *laughs* I'm so unknowledgable. blaugh Well, I'll see if I'll ever get the chance to see it. The only musical I've seen at a theatre is Miss Saigon.

I'm fairly sure that the musical started out in america and the version I saw was the same one, just with british actors. The actor's american accents were really good, although the main character sounded a little like kermit the frog. mrgreen It's the best musical I've seen so you should check it out. However the only other musical I've seen is Starlight Express, which wasn't exactly mind-blowing. sweatdrop

My parents strongly hint that I should get a Chinese boyfriend later on in life. ^^;;; My family is always like, "You'll be a waste if you don't get a Chinese boy!!" sweatdrop
I kinda have a girlfriend right now so it's kinda awkward when they bring that kind of stuff up. ><; (My family is extremely homophobic...) Argh.

Kyora Their goal in life is for me to be a doctor, marry a successful man ,and have tons of successful kids. That's what many chinese parents want these days. Lots of chinese are being pressured into the medical profession, even if they don't particularly like medicine. The chinese kids just want to make their parents proud and not let them down I suppose.

i just remembered something surprised the day after when my cousin's not chinese boyfriend came to my grans, my parents were talking got me about my furture for some reason confused and they said that it is very essential to think about education first then what type of man am i going to marry eek since my cousin did not pass uni and came back early, cos she had a 2 year break from education stare now my parents say that i must have a chinese boyfriend gonk or they will be very displeased stressed since they wouldnt be able to understand what an enlgish boy would be talking about rolleyes However if i dont get a chinese boyfriend or any kind of boyfriend before the age of 35 and over they said that im gonna end up like my cousin in vietnam exclaim cos my auntie got her 20 something year old daughter (my cousin) engaged to some older man, since the last man she was suppose to be engaged with just left her during the wedding rolleyes and i so do not want to think about those stuff right now mad

Awww I feel sorry for your cousin... getting stood up at her wedding like that. Does your cousin have no say in who she is to marry? If she doesn't love him then she shouldn't really be marrying him in the first place... bloody parents and their meddling. mad

Lots of chinese are being pressured into the medical profession, even if they don't particularly like medicine. The chinese kids just want to make their parents proud and not let them down I suppose. God, how right. stressed However, I was pressurised into medicine.... I was CONVINCED. I know they're right about the stuff, and I can't ignore it... Anyway, I have decided I'm gonna be something I LIKE now, and it does involve medicine. My parents didn't WANT me to become a doctor to be rich, to be this and that. They did it for other reasons, which lessens my annoyance at them more. This is one thing I can talk to them about without blowing my top off. sweatdrop 3nodding And on the business of making parnets proud... I dunno, I want to, but I don't think I would've gone down the medicine lane to make my parents proud. I think that defeats the whole objective of living my own life, making my own life decisions. I think my parents should be proud of me being MYSELF and how successful I can be being MYSELF, therefore I was never gonna be a doctor just to make them proud. I want their love me, to be honest, not to be proud of me. sweatdrop Quote: Awww I feel sorry for your cousin... getting stood up at her wedding like that. I feel for you Sapph-chan. And yesh, I think that parents' meddling sometimes can annoy the hell out of you... Still... *sigh* They think it's FOR THE BEST. stressed sweatdrop sad Gah. To hell with that, sometimes. xd
