"Good to hear." She responded to the Dr nodding her head with a content look on her face. "God, I couldn't imagine what would have happened if you didn't, Such a strong man." she teased, followed by a wink. She watched the two go at it against each other and couldn't help but smile and shake her head. Boys will be boys She thought to herself, At least she was enjoying it. "Children, Behave.." she smirked. "Well.." she said standing up from the table. "Im going to head over to get some coffee, I'll Bring you guys a blend too. She let out a smile followed by a wink and strutted towards the coffee machine. Its been a while since she smiled. It felt good. "I've been good." she responded to bones. She looked at the table and traced her finger around in circles. "Still shaken up abit, but hey, Only the best can make into Starfleet eh? No Chicken shits." She giggled. Her glance quickly shot at Kirk who was suddenly wincing from pain. It only took her a second to see what happened. She looked over at bones and the look on his face proved her suspicions. ------------------------------------You Can look, But ya cant touch..------------------------------------

Mr.Scott casually walked onto the bridge, in one hand he held a white shop rag covered in grease and a data pad in the other. He removed a small device from the pad and inserted it into the C.O.M's desk. " Mr. Sulu please inform tha' new girl that this is the updated engineering status. " " I optimized some of tha' devices on deck to meet ma' needs. "

Leonard McCoy The doctor smiled before his attention diverted back to the meal on his plate. But he found himself an empty one. His gaze shifted upwards to his friend and noticed the bit of bacon sticking out of the side of his mouth. Bones sighed heavily, knowing it was futile to try and find reasonable grounds. Giving a snort, the doctor shuffled his plate towards Jim who looked at it with a curious gaze. “You know, I have a lot of work to attend to…some of us actually work around here.” Jim smirked, leaning forward, “I know that Bones…not everyone can be such a tight a** like you.” His hand reached over and patted the doctor’s cheek. “Nah, of course not…not when I have you as my friend.” Bones responded back. Giving his quick goodbye to Janice and Jim, he left the lounge to head back to sickbay. When he arrived there, he found it to be in the same order as he had left it. It was rather quiet as of late. No one was coming in with an viral sickness or anything. It was nice, but would some day put Bones out of a job. Checking around the empty beds, McCoy started to reconfigure the scanners, to make sure they were in working order. All I have left is my bones..

"Doctor!" The surprised voice of the nurse echoed from across the Sickbay. "You're back! That.. was.. fast.." She approached him and handed him a clipboard with a sheet of paper attached to it. "This is the spreadsheet of patients we've had in the last 2 months... I thought it would be better if we started organizing them this way."

Janice returned to the table with a tray with coffee only notice that bones was gone. "Wheres Bones?" She said placing the cups of coffee on the table. The doctor was nowhere to be seen, and this cup of coffee was going to be wasted. She sighed and took a seat next to Jim. "Will he be coming back?" Janice slid one of the mugs in his direction while picking up her own. While waiting for an answer, Janice went ahead and took a sip of her own coffee. Not to brag, but everyone back home always loved anything she made in the kitchen. Whether it was Coffee, or her famous flan, When it came to food, She knew what she was doing. IF only she was that good doing other things. She snapped herself out of her little day dream and looked over at Kirk who was picking at Bones tray, Like a pigeon. ------------------------------------You Can look, But ya cant touch..------------------------------------

--=-- --=--James T. Kirk---=--- --=-- “Oh, he went back to work.” Kirk responded, shoving the empty plate away from himself. He wished his friend had picked up a little bit more food, than the meager serving he had. Kirk was hungry and felt a bit lazy to fill up the tray with some food.
Jim cleared his throat and casually took his mug. “I doubt it, but I’m sure you can deliever him the coffee if you wanted…” he then took a sip. His eyes lit up, “never mind, scratch that order….he wouldn’t want any…” Comically, Kirk reached over and took the mug intended for his friend and settled it in front of himself. His posture gave the impression that he didn’t want to share the coffee.
“This is good stuff Janice.” He chuckled, taking another swing of it. The coffee settled nicely going down his throat. Rather soothing. Jim gulped, giving her a side glance. “Oh…right, sorry. Ms Rand…pleasant coffee.” He hadn’t meant for the name slip.
Stay professional and don’t act like an a**. The latter might be hard to not stray away from, oh…and of course Jim wasn’t always professional. “So, where did you learn how to brew this? I mean, come on, I’m use to the machines making it…” and of course there was that one time when his mother had tried to brew coffee.
It had back fired on her, exploding coffee grounds. Kirk, of course had found it hilarious but her damn boyfriend at the time, Frank, didn’t. That had been the one time Frank had come close to hitting his mother.
Jim flinched at the memory and took a sip of the coffee to take his mind away from it.

Janice blushed abit while taking another slip. "I guess i just have gift" she said joking around. I guess everyone has a talent that doesnt require training. Some people can draw, sing, act, Dance without going to school, Thats how it was with her and the kitchen. "You should try my baking one day" she set the mug down and crossed her legs. She laughed at his greedy mannerism, But atleast it was a compliment. She leaned back in her chair with her arms crossed observing the people around her, Sometimes she would forget that they were in space. The whole idea of space traveling was still surreal to her, But she liked the sense of adventure, Well, as long as anyone didnt get hurt. Her gaze switched over to the captain who was still enjoying her Coffee. Its not that Janice was a huge Flirt, but there were certain man that she couldnt help but flirt with. She just had to remind herself that he was the captain. She once again snapped out of her over analyzing state of mind to find herself staring at the Captain with her signature bedroom eyes. s**t! she thought to herself and looked over at the table quickly. "So how do you like being the captain?" she said slowly looking at him. ------------------------------------You Can look, But ya cant touch..------------------------------------

--=-- --=--James T. Kirk---=--- --=-- He hadn’t caught the bedroom eyes, and if he had, he wouldn’t have minded them so much. Kirk could travel into the neutral zone before purging into the forbidden sector. Well, granted, the neutral zone was off limits and Jim didn’t want to start a war. He already had enough time restraining himself at times considering the open bar in the level six lounge. Damn.
Jim wanted a drink now. He chuckled lightly, settling the mug down on the table. His fingers drummed on the handle of it for a moment before answering. “It has its ups and downs. But you know, overall I’m loving it. Never thought I would.”
Being in charge of over four hundred people was a bit scary. Heck, it scared the s**t out of him when he truly thought of it. So many people relied on him, and considering three years ago yesterday, no one would have trusted him to hold their lunch money.
Sure, he had a reputation back on Earth, and he was going to try and erase that. Jim wanted people to remember the Captain aspect of himself, not the playboy.
“I’m sure at the end of all things…I’ll be a crotchety old man in the old folks farm…and b***h like a captain still.”

After a couple of sips Janice started seeing the bottom of her mug. Shoot. Janice sat up straight. "I heard about how you saved everyone on this ship from a Romulan Attack. I gotta say, Thats pretty amazing." Knowing that you're the reason that earth wasnt destroyed must be abit of a ego booster. It was a feeling that Janice hoped to have one day, the feeling of being honored, or appreciated or even admired. She smiled in his direction and continued. "God I want some more coffee.." she said tracing her fingertip over the rim of her mug. "...But if i have more, i probably wont be able to sleep tonight" she chuckled and brushed her fingertips across her bangs. "So, Captain. Tell me about yourself." she hoped that the question didnt clash against regulations, but hey, She just wanted to get to know one of her Coworkers. It would be nice to have atleast one friend right? ------------------------------------You Can look, But ya cant touch..------------------------------------

--=-- --=--James T. Kirk---=--- --=-- “Heh, you know..Bones told me one time, ‘that I’ve always been a captain..I just didn’t have a starship to command yet’.” Kirk inputted into the conversation. The thought had just occurred to him. His friend had told him that after the award ceremony when Jim had been quite thrilled with the rank..
A sly smirk formed as he shook his head. “Nah, it just wasn’t me…Spock had a great part of it.” He couldn’t take all the credit. That just wasn’t Jim, despite what people might say about him. “But yeah, it was pretty amazing when it did happen…though I’d like to avoid planetary destruction next time I show off.”
He took a sip from his mug, and eyed the woman beside him. Glancing back down at the mug intended for Bones, he slid it over to her. “Ah, sleeping is over rated. Bottoms up lieutenant.”
Jim leaned back in the chair, draping an arm over the back. “Hrm, there isn’t much to say about me that hasn’t been reported around the academy or the..ah, well holo-net.” He recalled seeing his face and information appearing on the holo-net system. He had been sitting in a restaurant with Bones…and well, he felt quite shy about the whole ordeal. Sure Kirk was all about ‘me’ but seeing it happening around him was a big deal. Surprising even. Also hadn’t helped in the matter when a group of kids that had been brave enough approached him and wanting to know about the whole Nero arch.
It was cute, and Jim had fumbled with his words to them. And ended up saying the retarded thing of ‘stay in school kids’….Bones hadn’t let him live that down for awhile. Geez, it was nice having friends like him. And feeling in the mood, he shared this little story with Janice, though leaving out the part of him being shy. He wanted to still appear badass.
“Hrmm. So what about you? Got a guy waiting on Earth in misery for ya?” he asked casually. The captain glanced briefly downwards and noticed a few stains of coffee on his uniform shirt. Apparently in his story telling escapades, he made hand gestures. He didn’t know why, but somehow aided him in furthering his tales. Or, he just didn’t know how to stand still for long periods of time.

" Your sense of humor baffles me sometimes Mr.Sulu. " Said Scotty in a sarcastic tone. " An' what is it that yer' doin' up here ? Eh nothin' ar ya' " Mr.Scott slapped Mr.Sulu on the back and proceeded back towards the lift, after making a small waving gesture he stepped in. " Engineering Deck. " The lift came to a stop and opened. The Engineering deck was very open and scattered with desks. Most of the engineers performed routine checks on their assigned posts, but on an average day only 3 or 4 head engineers stayed on deck for their 8 hour shifts. Among these were Mr.Scott himself, Miss Gaila, and Keenser. Mr.Scott passed by Gaila's desk which was located in a room adjacent to his own small workshop-like room. " The Enterprise is much better than bein' stuck on Delta Vega ", " There are women ere' ." Mr.Scott leaned over his desk catching a glimpse of Gaila who had bent over to fix a loose cable.

Leonard McCoy McCoy glanced over his shoulder at the familiar and inviting voice. He smiled slightly, turning fully around to face the nurse. “I can’t seem to stay away.” Was his response when taking the clipboard. He arched a brow starring at the endless line of names that started to blur together. Bones blinked, “The old fashion way? Sounds fine to me. Though hopefully it won’t take too long since Starfleet wants things done and reported so damn quickly.” The CMO frowned heavily, “though aside from this, anything else happened while I was away?” All I have left is my bones..
