"Over my dead body in the sun pit. . ." Black scoffed, "I think we're pretty hard to pin down considering how we generally are. No outsiders are going to keel haul Aekea without getting their wires crossed. I mean, we pretty much are still able to build war machines." Black paused, "Lemme rephrase that. We can build weapons of mass destruction, it's just the fact that we're not allowed to build them anymore. Then again, that never stopped me or Liam." She shrugged, "Liam's Delugeau was unintentional mass destruction. My stuff is the result of basically me getting bored and wanting to blow things sky high. So. . . . Don't be surprised if you hear some massive explosions coming from my area." The witch laughed, "Ah, that's probably not something the vampires would want to hear but it's a fair warning."

Ace watched the events unfolding in front of him in complete silence, avoiding the stares of other strangers. He methodically scanned each person around him, adding them to the detailed archives inside of the artificial part of his brain. The other, the organic section, just stared among them in awe. After watching for quite some time, the mute mechanic turned around to the bar, and ordered a bit of alcohol. He drank it down quickly, sparking a few times, but not enough to be easily noticed by an onlooker. This seemed to brighten up his synapses enough to give him some confidence to join the conversation. "You're right of course," He responded to the stranger who seemed to be entranced in blowing things up. "No one would want to mess with Aekea, unless they had a definite death wish." He stated, before directing his next comment to Hayley. "But I thank you for your concern for our town, and your willingness to step up and attempt to curb the madness."

Going with a more traditional look for her era Mena walked into the room to be met with a sudden feeling of calmness. She new this feeling, the one that started with calmness and then went to butterflies, but she couldn't place where she always feels this feeling. She quickly forgot about it and just brushed it off as odd.

She looked around to see so many happy Mechanical Children, and tried to see anyone she knew. Not finding any familiar faces she walks over to the food table to find that the Vampiric treats have not been touched. Mena accepted that apparently not everyone of her kind agreed with helping others. She turned to go find somewhere to sit, alone.

Pieta had remand quiet during the conversation. Having no input and quickly growing bored. Her mind wandered. She noticed dress was itchy. She tried to scratch it but, it left her unsatisfied. She scratched more and more but something... something was wrong.

Mena looked around to try to find PQ but only found a poor Cyborg girl scratching at her dress to no avail. She couldn't help but stare at the poor thing. She composed herself and then approached the girl.

Pardon me but are you alright dear, it seems like your dress is giving you much discomfort.

Her skin was starting to look raw near her shoulders and on her back. She quickly looked up from her scratching to find a gorgeous Victorian era vampire talking to her.

Pieta's face reddened in embarrassment, and quietly replied sounding frustrated, "It is! I don't understand why it's so itchy! I've just got it from the Marketplace..." The realization hit her like a ton of car engines fell on top her. She silently cursed herself, The Marketplace! Damn it! Why didn't I buy from the shops!

Hanging up her cellphone, she turned away to see Willamena talking to Pieta. She smiled behind the static -- if anyone was going to be nice to Willamena, it would be Pieta. And visa versa, of course.

Heading over in their direction she paused only to wave at Ace and Hayley, who seemed to be in a decent conversation.

User Image Black made a nod to the newcomer, taking note of her presence before wandering off. Once again, she was a backdrop. It's not like she didn't want to talk with the vampiress. It's just that she seemed to be busy with Pieta and the conversation at the moment didn't really interest her. Okay, take that back, the marketplace was interesting. It was a giant flea market but it was a seller's market with all of the inflation and high hell going on over there. But alas, there was the conversation with Hayley and another cyborg she really didn't recognize.

"Aye, aye. . . Wait. . Madness? What are you talking about? We're not crazy. . . Okay, when it comes to our town. Yeah we're all loons but we're not crazy. . . . . Everyone is not crazy . . . Except for some of us loony bins but we're completely crazy! Yeah! Just very easily excited!" What a lame explanation and excuse, you can come up with stuff better than that! Black would've punched herself for that but all has been said and done. "Either way, just a word of advice, keep the energy drinks locked and the psychos separated. All will be well and you will not end up like the last guy that tried and died in a single day. Aaahhhh. . Good times, good times. I liked the part when his Nano-C went trigger-happy on him, it was funny."

Keel had been in quite the daybream, when he finally slammed back to earth and took a look around. Not much had really changed during his dream state, Save for a new arrival that he noticed. A vampire in quite the elegant get up, talking to Pieta.

realizing he was standing in the middle of everything, figuratively speaking, he sought a seat and plopped down, trying to recall what he had been daydreaming about.

Hayley paused, unsure if she had offended some of her new neighbors. She glanced over at the fidgeting Pieta before turning back to conversation.

"Heh, well I'm glad you guys are confident in your current standing, but I've always been one to plan for the worst. I came here because Aekea's got great potential, and I want to see it reach its fullest capacity. As for madness... Well, I'm a firm believer that we're all at least a little crazy in our own rights, and I'm surely no exception." She smiled.

"Coolio, but I still warn you about the energy drinks. Just trust me on that." Black bounced her head, "Anyways, I don't know very much about ye. I've been ranting too much-"

"You said it, boss-"

"Shut it or I'll turn you into spare parts for whatever other project I'll eventually come up with." Black cut off her Anima just as well as he did to her. She sighed, "Ehh. . Yeah. . . Pretend that never happened, let's get on with life stories shall we?"

"Life story, eh?" Hayley wasn't entirely sure where to start here, so she figured she'd just stick to the basics for now. She still didn't really know what to make of this witch character, either. Aekea was home to all manners of crazy.

"Well, I was born and raised in Barton. My father worked with the guard there, still does, and I took after him as soon as I started walking. Worked my way up the ranks to the Barton Elite squad until I had an unfortunate 'incident' in which I lost my eye. I lost my job and wandered over here where the Aekean scientists/doctors were able to fix me up real nice, which is when I decided I'd like to move here for good. Been loving life ever since."
She smiled.

"And what about you? You're a witch, eh? What kind of magics do you deal in?"

"Some voodoo, some tao, dark arts, a couple of necro spells. . . Hexes, curses, jinxes and the usual offensive hots. I'm not that great with supports, I'm more of the go in there and blow stuff up with magic." She nodded but then her shoulders slacked a bit, "Unfortunately, because I'm jinxed, I actually have to kill n00blets to keep my control over my powers. Otherwise, it's like trying to pull a malfunctioning slot machine. So. . . Yeah, n00bs are useful for me." Black sighed but then went back into her crazy happy witch mood, "If there is one thing I am good at, it's making potions and synthesizing stuff. I'm usually the one chugging potions like water so I change my DNA. . . A lot. . . Sometimes I do die from that but that's okay! I do know some necromancy! Kinda. . . Not that much. . . It involves a lot of n00b killing though. It works and its good enough for me!"

Ace's eyes flung open with terror at the mention of the last guy, but controlled himself to a blank face right after. The witch seemed like she was out of her right mind, so she probably didn't know any better, but still, Ace felt for Hayley. Poor girl was trying to do the same thing the last one had. He wished, and desperately hoped, that she would not end up the same way. He was mildly surprised, and greatly relieved however, when Hayley did not catch Ra's comment. He listened with a perfectly blank face to Hayley's story. Seemed a whole lot like his, except her injuries were much less severe. His mind raced for the words of his own story, but decided against sharing it as he kept his on a don't ask/don't tell basis. He turned back to the bar as it seemed to him that he was awkwardly eaves-dropping on a foreign conversation.
