Billy yawned, half awake. He had put a small alarm next to him so that he could wake up before Chris yelled/screeched at them. If only he had his dagger of +5 non-sleepiness!
Sighing and rolling off the bed, he quickly changed. He had taken a nice shower last night so he didn't have to clean up now. He noticed Serena get out of her bed and nodded a quick hello to her. Grabbing his bag he also left to where they were all supposed to go right now.

Jay groaned as the speaker static woke her up again. She rolled out of bed, falling down and wincing, rubbing her tailbone. "s**t, man... Could Chris get any more annoying?" Breakfast better be ready today. Or her challenge would be bash-the-midget-host.
But first, a shower was called for. Jay gathered her toiletries, headed to the communal bathrooms, and returned ten minutes later. Those bathrooms weren't like home... Kind of gross, really.
Then, after getting ready, she followed everyone's lead to the Messhall.

Helena groaned and rolled awake from the sound of the speakers. She sniffed again and yawned, stretching her arms. What an odd night she had. Looking beside her, she saw Edward and Bella. When did they get there? Her stomach growled, so she grabbed a fresh pair of clothes and her bath kit and went to the bathrooms.
When she returned, she was relatively clean and her clothes werent stained or ripped. She felt a lot better since the night before, but her compact body hadn't quite gotten all of the dartjuices out yet. She trudged to the messhall.

Helena felt naked in her swimsuit. It covered so little...Blushing to herself, she quickly grabbed a towel and the dress she was wearing that morning.
She dried herself off as best as she could, her hair still a little damp. Then she ran to the bathrooms and changed, trotting happily back to the cabin.
Hanging up her swimsuit to dry, she sat on Ratchet's bunk and took out Edward and Bella. Why did Chef have these in the first place? Did he like dolls or buy them specifically for this?
She climbed up with them to her bunk after making Ratchet's bed and laid down. She set the dolls next to her and curled up to rest her nerves. Her hands were still shaking from the jump.
Getting bored, she decided to go back outside and take a walk around.

Ratchet was still very wet and exhausted after hiking up the cliff twice- once for the challenge and once to get her tools. But she didn't want a nap; it was building time. There didn't seem to be anybody in the cabin, so she decided to get right to work. She was quite glad that her saplings hadn't been needed for the challenge. She moved her poles and bag of tools to the center of the cabin, where she had the most space to work. Bending the longest pole into a semi-circle, she joined it to the thickest of the poles, which remained straight. She lashed a pole to each corner, then lashed the remaining poles to the semi-circular sapling. When she finished the skeleton of her project, it looked like a strange sort of crown. She flipped it to its feet, chiseling off the ends of any poles that made it stand unevenly. There was a wide gap in the middle of the structure than an Audio could easily pass through. After fixing the feet, she grabbed her bedsheets and tossed them over the structure, making curtains. She now had a bare mattress, but figured somebody might be kind enough to give her an extra sheet or two... maybe she could get them from one of the other cabins, when they had to vote somebody off the island. It wasn't a nice thing to think, but hey, extra sheets. Once the curtains were in place, she swished between them a few times, making sure that the sheets would stay. Satisfied, she pushed the structure up against the back wall of the cabin, between the rows of beds. The most open part, right under the straight pole, nestled nicely against the wall, and while the top was open, it offered more privacy than anywhere else in the cabin. Tahdah. She'd made a changing room. Ratchet nodded at it and shook it a few times. While the sheets swayed, it was sturdy enough. She'd used some tried-and-true joining methods, and her lashing was spot-on, especially for working with somewhat round poles. It was obvious this wasn't a professional structure; the sheets couldn't lay quite perfectly, for some of the poles weren't the same height, bark still remained on the saplings and they were bumpy and crooked in places, and there was the obvious problem of no roof for the thing, but it was alright for having been built in the middle of nowhere without a proper lumberyard in sight. She decided she'd be the first to use it. Carrying her clothes into the changing room, she stripped off her damp swimsuit and hastily tossed her favorite Frankenstein pants and shirt on. She hung the swimsuit on her bunk bed's ladder and started to pick up her mess. She gathered her scraps of wood and tossed them into the bushes outside of the cabin, then picked up her backpack and went back outside. A bit of lunch would be good, and maybe she'd run into some of her teammates on the way. She felt a little guilty for not staying terribly long, but she'd seen some of her friends jump when she went back up the hill for her tools, and Helena actually made it to the safety zone! Which was good, because Ratchet didn't know how the little girl would do around sharks. She didn't have a shark clobberin' hammer.

Coming back from her early lunch, Ratchet entered the cabin with a bowl of water, placing it in the back corner of the changing room for anybody who was sticky from the day and wanted to sponge off without getting a full shower. There, now that was done. She then turned around and went back outside, looking for somebody to take a walk with. Maybe they could go back down to the docks and watch the other campers jump from a distance.

Just outside of the cabin, Annabel's strut had faded slowly to a walk, and now? Seemed more like a slink. The adrenaline rush was entirely gone. Exhaustion had taken over, and though she'd never say it out loud, there was a shred of guilt steadily growing in her.
Damnit. She needed to stop thinking about last night- it wasn't that big of a deal, really. He'd just been normal... nice, almost. And then he'd gone and ruined it all this afternoon by pushing Annabel in. It'd been REASONABLE to pull him in with her! But... maybe the after-comments hadn't been in line. Flushing slightly at the thought, Annabel shook her head. No, no. She wasn't going to worry about that now.
Pacing up toward the cabin, she caught sight of Ratchet by the cabin's door, and flashed the girl the best smile she could manage.
"Afternoon there, Ratchet? Kicking a** and taking names with your tools back in tow?" Her illusion of badassery would've stayed in tact, unquestioned, if Annabel's voice hadn't cracked at the last second. Clearing her throat, she laughed uneasily.
"Damn saltwater. ******** with my voice, man. Probably shouldn't have yelled so much on the way down."

Serena came in and gasped. What had Ratchet done for them!? She got a teary eyed appearance. "I love our team." She was thrilled and came up to it, examining it. Were those bed sheets? From where? She glanced around and saw Ratchet's bed stripped free. Oh that would not do!, She came over to her own bed, and took the heavier of the two blankets she had, and put it on Ratchet's Bunk with a smile. It was the least she could offer her for this fabulous treat.
She then turned and grabbed her clothes, using the home-made changing area as quick as possible, and she moved to put away the damp bathing suit for the time being. She grabbed the basket and sighed. This was going to be a difficult night. The blue-haired girl left the cabin in silence, and disappeared out of sight into the forest. She was on the hunt.

After a quick trip to the communal bathroom for a shower, Simon sauntered into the cabin relatively clean and dry. It was far from the best, but at least the shower water smelled a little more fresh than the water from the lake... he'd wished he had brought his sandals in there, though. The floor of those showers were infested with mildew and he didn't want to know what else. He was sure that by the end of this camping trip, there'd be healthy colonies of fungus growing out of his feet.
Sounded like something that Chef might consider making into a meal, really... the LARPer shuddered momentarily at the thought.
At any rate, Simon had realized that although he'd been assigned a team and everything, he really hadn't had much of a chance to introduce himself or have a chat with any of his teammates besides Annabel. That... well... being the expendable background guy was not something that would keep him on this island for long. So despite part of him wanting to stay in that position, he decided to suck it up and try to make some more friends in the Gnashing Beavers.
"Uh... hey," he tentatively started after entering the cabin.

Ratchet grinned back. "Not so much kicking a**; I think that's your department. But the tools, well, I'm gettin' 'em back into shape. I put up a changing room in the back; if we throw something over the top, it'll be pretty much completely private. As it is now, it's got curtains so that you can't be seen while you're changing. Easier and probably better than running down to the showers every time you wanna change clothes without the risk of somebody walking in on you." She nodded happily as, out of the corner of her eye, she caught Serena heading back towards the little compartment. "I put a bowl of water back in there, too. It would be awesome if somebody could track down a sponge, so that people could splash a little water on themselves if things get sticky. It's awfully hot out here- hey, thanks!" she called as Serena put one of her own blankets on Ratchet's empty bunk and left the cabin. Turning back to the front of the cabin, she saw a boy enter. She wasn't too sure of his name- S something. Silas? Sylar? Something like that. She waved at him in greeting. "Hey. How was your dive?"

(( Ok, holy s**t, gotta say- Simon as Sylar? BEST. MENTAL IMAGE. EVER. )) Grinning slightly at the compliment of her own a**-kicking activities, Annabel shrugged slightly.
"Nah, you kick a** in your own right! A changing station? I couldn't have pulled that s**t off!" She forced a laugh at this, waving a paw in an absent sort of gesture. Taking a moment to pat Ratchet on the shoulder, her smile stilled to a weaker one- more genuine, however.
"Seriously, though. I can't tell you how much your being nice kicks a**. I should focus on being an a** to that host, and let you be the nice one!" Snickering at her own joke, Annabel turned to head up her her bunk and grab her normal clothes- hitting her head when she heard Simon enter.
God damn, she really needed to stop doing that.
"Simon!" She squealed excitedly, turning to look at him with a bright smile. Hopefully, he wouldn't notice her tiredness- or at least, if he did, he'd refrain from commenting. Wagging her tail happily, she grabbed her clothes and began climbing back down.
"Holy s**t, dude, did you see me pull Chris in? Rat b*****d didn't even see it COMING!"

Actual mention of the changing station was enough to get Simon to swivel his head around and finally notice it - and immediately his face brightened with awe and relief. This was fantastic, now he didn't have to worry about anyone seeing anything they shouldn't! "Wow... you mean you built this? That's amazing!" He had half a mind to ask in the future if she had any interest in LARPing. Having someone around to build unique structures would make it all feel so much more authentic.
He gave a weak grin in response to Ratchet's question, sheepishly scratching behind one of his ears. "I-it was bad. I probably would've gotten us a lot more points if it were a contest to break the sound barrier."
Hearing someone squeal his name was a definite surprise, enough for Simon to jump a bit - ramming his head directly into the doorframe with a distinctive thunk. It looked as though the two of them bumping their heads around each other had the potential to become a running gag.
"Annabel..." he smiled, feeling through his hair for his new welt. "Yeah, I saw - just about everyone did, I bet. You were all shouting at each other the whole way down."

Zoƫ stumbled in just in time to catch the end of the conversation, following behind Simon unintentionally.
The sun had dried her off (for the most part), but her hair was still damp and mangled from drowning in the shark-infested saltwater. Giving the group a half-smile, she made her way towards her own bunk bed, mindful not to trip over her own feet (again).
"I have to say, Annabel," She began, albeit a bit hesitantly as she began rummaging through her bag for her towel, "You've got quite the set of brass balls on you, to do that sort of thing!"
Finding her towel at long last, she leaned down and began to dry off her short hair. She hadn't spoken much to the other team members since they'd started, but she was hoping to grow on more friendly terms with them (provided she didn't send any of them to the hospital first with her unfortunate clumsiness.) "His face was pretty priceless!"
