(( I loved Slade's response to finding out Joker was in on it, BTW ))
Chuckling a bit to himself about actually breaking the famed stoicism of Deathstroke the Terminator, Lex Luthor walked to his computer again and contacted the Sattelite he had indicated to Supergirl. With her super-speed, she should be there by now.

Lex sighed, saying, "While I'm glad you've at least found the food to your liking, you should have used the voice program, if nothing else, just now. I just had Deathstroke here, and I had half a mind to contact you before he left. How would this have looked if he heard your very recognisible voice over the comms? Have you looked at the voice or image programs yet?"

"Sooort of..." Kara said offhandedly, in a tone that clearly meant 'no'. At the moment, she seemed to be behaving a bit more like her usual self, for whatever reason. Every inch the teenager. "You really have this place stocked up, don't you? I love those whipped yogurts, by the way. Very sweet of you."

Lex actually facepalmed, an action that Supergirl was certain to hear with her hearing. "I have it stocked to be able to sustain a single person for a little over a year. I'd appreciate it if you'd look at the voice program now. It's very easy to activate. Just double-click the program called 'voice syntesizer' on the computer, and a microphone will come out of the console. The program itself should activate almost immediately."

There was a pause, and the next second a quiet but dangerous male voice was speaking. Which made his words even more ridiculous. First came the chuckle. "Better? Anyway, this is very nice... Just like a vacation. I think I'm actually calming down a bit." Deep breath. "So.... What did you want?"

Lex smiled. "Much better. And I'm glad that you approve, as surprising as that sounds. Anyways, I was just checking on you, seeing if you needed anything in particular, making sure you got the hang of the programs... Oh, that reminds me, the silhouette program activates the exact same way. Just double-click 'silhouette'. The image will activate, and then a video channel will open up. You'll be able to see and hear everything that goes on in this room. Anyone in here, however, will only see the silhouette. Try it, just to make sure it works."

Lex looked at the screen and grinned wider. "Like a bald silhouette with eyes... Perfect." He began pacing. "Did you look around? Was everything to your liking? Anything you needed?"

Lex stopped and looked at the screen, with a completely serious look on his face. The camera was built into the top of the screen, and therefore made it look like he was looking right at her, as long as she was in front of her monitor. "Supergirl, despite our checkered past, you're not only now my ally, but as long as you stay inside that sattelite, you're also considered my guest. I'd be very much remiss if I denied my guest something they needed."

"I did," Lex said, his tone very much as businesslike as he was. "And for half the price I estimated, which was nice. I'll be wiring him the money as soon as we finish talking. He didn't want cash." He paused, then said, "Supergirl, why did you agree to help me? You admittedly saw through my talking, yet you helped me anyways."

"I told you; it's because--" There was a surprised pause. "Um... Because I..." Another pause... "Because my cousin is trying to kill me with a truckload of kyptonite, and I'd like to keep breathing," she concluded finally, but she didn't sound particularly sure of herself.
