Well, the Tau have simply not done much for FTL because they still have to have the need for it. Sure, that keeps them localized, but that also means their forces are so close, they can't be bothered by the Warp at all. Also, the Tau hare the fastest developing race of them all, being discovered around M35 with nothing but black powder weapons, taking roughly six thousand years to build large Phalanxes of space ships and conquering their local star cluster. If this is to be correct, the Tau are well over-due for an equipment upgrade, seeing as studying and learning from the enemy is acceptable to them and should have learned how Space Marine armor is constructed and built better power cores, propulsion systems and better armor plating. Hell, even though rail gun slugs leave nice holes in them, the Leman Russ and Rhinos still have much better armor vehicle-wise. Considering also the book on Xenos creatures, the Tau have shoddy eye structures, one large, pathetic lung and an inferior, smaller heart than ours. Physically, they are inferior, yet they developed so damn fast? The Tau stand a huge chance, seeing as they are in the back-waters of the system. All they have to do is keep claiming the areas the Imperium don't have very much value in.

Not related to topic, but a semi-related matter:
Current codex updates will be hitting from the oldest books forward, with DE coming out first. After that will likely be Necrons/Grey Knights, followed by Sisters and then probably Tau.
But this thread is not for rumor milling. That thread is on the front page.

I guess so, but it is nice to learn that they're actually paying attention to the damn Tau once again. lol

I say mankind. However, they will only succeed if the High Lords of Terra stop caring about their 'power' long enough to let the Emperor wake up.
...Because that's totally likely to happen. Should the Emperor remain in his stupid coffin, I'd say either 'Nids or Necron. I would hope it would be Necron, because they are the only force boss enough to not only stand up to the Old Ones, but also the C'Tan.

I'm pretty sure that, at this point, turning off the Golden Throne would mean an end to the Emps. His spirit is just barely bound to his frame anymore. Who knows, maybe he'll be born into a Warp spirit akin to the gods of Chaos.

I think that due to how the Fluff for the Necrons have been altered (Due to the fact they felt un-unique), no longer being a Cthulu mytho like people that harvest souls and that. I'd have to say that the Tyranids will rule.

I think nobody will. I think every other faction will be destroyed by the Tyranids and the Orks, and the two hordes will battle each other to the point of mutual destruction, and the galaxy will be completely sterile.

Caleidah I'm pretty sure that, at this point, turning off the Golden Throne would mean an end to the Emps. His spirit is just barely bound to his frame anymore. Who knows, maybe he'll be born into a Warp spirit akin to the gods of Chaos. What says he is still there at all? Perhaps he left a lot of years ago, and is already starting to shape a new Empire, somewhere .... It might even turn out to be a new force ... or just the newest ... Also, is the fluff/rumour about Cypher still going? He might destroy the Throne once he arrives there. Then, there may also be the "Foundation Solution", that the Emperor created a kind of failsafe if all would go to wrong, in a very remote part of the galaxy .... ... Oh, sorry ... who would win, was it .... My guess is "Whatever army that the Emperor truly fields", and that is not neccesarily the Human Empire........
