L watched Nikky run off with a frown, not needing to use her powers to see why. Most girls felt inferior to Kora because of her power, but not L. L didn't find herself attractive, but she was secure enough to know she didn't need a power to get a guy. So Kora didn't bug her.
She looked over at Daina and Candence with a soft smile. "It's okay, I know neither of you meant it that way. I'm just a little mody." She picked up a piece of chicken and began to eat it as she immersed herself in her throughts. She didn't have a great daya nd she just wanted to go to the party. She had the perfect outfit- at a very low price too thanks to her powers.
She looked at the picture and laughed, turning to face Joseph. "Certain faces of yours make me scared to know what your thinking."
Adam frowned when Mitsukai ran off, feeling an immense emotion of insecurity. He looked aroudn and noticed a lot of the girls were feeling that emotion, Nikky running away as well. It must be because of the other girl that's hanging on Joseph.
He looked over towards Mick, deciding to talk to her so she'll be social. "Do you know who that girl is?"
Mick slowly lifted her head off the table, feeling slightly more social now as she glanced around. Being a senior she knew almost everyone here. "Her? Oh yeah, that's Kora. Makes sense that a lot of girls are leaving, her power is the ability to make anyone infatuated over her. Watch out Adam, she might be at this party of yours." She laughed softly when his eyes widened.
He then said 'your coming to this party to you know' and she frowned. She didn't even know if she was invited. No way she was going to just barge in. She didn't have anything to wear anyway. "You'll have to drag me."

 "Mom. Mom. MOM! Will you relax I'm fine. I made it here in one piece," Mika tried to reassure her mother through her cellphone. "Mom I love you too. Look I gotta go, I'll call you tomorrow ok? Tell Kisa I miss her too. Bye." Sighing Mika went back to unpacking all her stuff in her dorm room. It's been a year since Mika transferred into Genius Academy. She was now within her second year at the academy and loving it. Granted she still didn't have total complete control of her powers, but she was close. If she could figure out how to phase inanimate objects through solid objects she'd be be all set. But for right now she was content. Beside she made more progress here than on her own, that's for sure.
"Now to get something to eat," Mika grinned to herself. On her way to the cafeteria she spotted two of her friends Mitsukai and Nikky. "Hey guys what are you doing out here? On your way to the cafe?" Mika asked giving both of her friends a greeting hug. "By the way Nikky Happy B-Day girl! We better be doing something fun to celebrate this wonderful occasion don't ya think?"

Nikky smiled at Mitsukai as she dragged her along the hall. She spotted Mika and smiled in her direction. "Thanks! You bet we are, party at the movies tonight, 9:30. I believe its theatre 15." She called after her after the hasty hug. "Sorry, I think Mitsukai wants me to open my present!" She gave Mika an apologetic smile.
Nikky went into Mitsukai's room and grabbed the first box from her. She opened it excitedly, not minding to care about the mess she was making. Inside the box was a beautiful blue dress that complimented her skintone, her eyes, and would show off her legs. The teal added to it. "Ooh, I love it!!! But of course you knew I would!" She said running to Mitsukai's bathroom and changing into it. She came back out in a few minutes. "Good thing my bra has removeable straps!" She said with a huge smile as she looked in the mirror. Her hair seemed to have the right idea, curling on its own quite beautifully after its encounter with water. She quickly grabbed the other box, opened it, and saw the heels. She put them on to see the total effect of the outfit. Suddenly she attacked her friend with a hug. "Thank you, thank you, thank you...."
Daina shrugged at Kora's question. "I don't know Kora. I don't see why she wouldn't" Daina explained. She turned to listen to L. "No problem, totally understand." She said with a small smile, then she laughed at L's response to the picture she took of Josep. "So, does that mean you want a copy?" She asked teasingly.
Daina heard Kora's question about scarves. "She might, Kora." She said with a shrug. "Well, we might want to go get ready." She said, picking up her tray and tossing it out. "If I don't see you before the party, I'll see you there!" She said with a smile, and she was off to her room.
Cadence returned L's smile with one of her own. "Yeah, maybe the mood will be better once we are at the party." She said cheerfully. For some practice, she formed a forcefield around her tray, and made it float over to a nearby garbage can. Once she got it steady, and let it hover for a moment, she let the tray fall into the bin, forcefield gone.
"So much easier than getting up.." Cadence said with a smile. She agreed with Daina. "Not too long now til party time!" She said with an enthusiastic smile. "Well, I best be off if I am ever going to tame my hair in time. Toodles!" Cadence said happily as she got up.

Seeing Mitsukai and Nikky leave for the dorms, Mika continued on her way to the cafeteria. Looking for her group of friend she spotted them right away. Ahh no wonder Mitsukai and Nikky left Mika thought to herself once she saw Kora at the table. Personally Mika had nothing against Kora but even she had to admit the girl's powers were a little annoying. Who the heck wants to see a crowd of people fawning over one person?
Looking at the table Mika also noticed Daina and Cadence weren't there too. Oh well I'll see them at the party Mika thought as she got herself something to eat. She found an empty seat next to L. "Hey L how are you?" she greeted her friend, "Who's the new kid?" Mika asked pointing at Adam, she'd never seen him before.

L laughed at Daina and Cadence. "I should probably go soon to if I plan on getting ready in time. My hair's being rather frustrating."
She noticed Mika walking over and she smiled, happy to see her old friend. "Hey Mika!" She hugged her in happiness before releasing her with a smile. When Mika pointed out a new kid L looked around for him, finally realizing who it was. "Oh! You mean Adam. He's my brother." Just as she said that Adam turned around and caught her eye, waving at the two girls.
Adam laughed at Mick. "Whatever, I'm safe. Her power has to be like L and Mitsukai's where it has a block right?" When the girl just shook her head Adam's mouth popped open. "Michaela! You are truly evil for enjoying this!" He felt pain on his arm and he glared at her, scooting away. Abusive much?
Adam picked up his tray and carried it over to the trash can, dropping it in before turning back and walking to the table. As he walked he caught the eye of his sister and smiled, waving at her and the girl beside her. It was party time soon so Adam would have to get back to the dorms to help L soon. But first eh had some unfinished buisness ...
Mick laughed at how scared Adam was. "You'll be fine you big baby." When he said her full name though sh eturned and smacked him hard on the arm. "Shut up!" She shot a glare at him as if sh ewas angry, though she hid a grin. The kid was certainely amusing, she'd give him that much.
When he went to throw his plate away she thought he had left and she pulled out her phone, sending a text to her ex-boyfriend. As she typed and muttered to herself she didn't hear him sneak up behind her. All she heard was 'your coming to the party' before Adam grabbed her arms and dragged her out of the cafeteria.

 Kora Also stood and released Jo from her seemingly constant embrace. "Well, It looks like I've got to go get ready too if I want to go to the party before it's over." She winked and kissed Jo's cheek one last time. "Love you guys, bye." The blonde have a little wave and turned. She walked out of the cafeteria with the grace of a lioness, but not nearly as fierce.
She walked up to her room, not stopping to talk in the hall. She had a gift to wrap, her hair to do, an outfit to put together, her plate really was full. Once her door was closed she striped off her shirt and skirt. Next her shoes came off, her hair came down and she rummaged though her closet for that one dress... It took her five minutes of mostly naked digging but she found it. A cute candy pink dress. It was made of thin cotton and tailored to fit just right. The hem fell pretty high but she still liked it, most of the stuff she wore was short by some people's standards anyway. The dress had two thin straps attaching with big plastic pink buttons the top hem. It also had a thick slightly darker pink satin ribbon around the waist that tied into a bow in the back. She pulled the dress on and tied the bow, then searched her sock drawer for thigh high white and pink striped stockings. She found them quickly and pulled them on. Next she looked for shoes. Black three in heels with a ribbon that wrapped around the ankle; Perfect! The only thing left was her hair. she brushed it out, then put it in rollers while she wrapped the gift.
The gift was a long, wide teal and white polka dot silk she had gotten from her aunt's most resent trip to Europe. It was one of her favorites and she knew that tit would look cute on Nikky. She wrapped it in a flat slim box and tied a netting ribbon around it, then wrote;

Happy Birthday!

Once the gift was wrapped, Kora took the curlers out of her hair and sat down in front of her mirror, it took her a half hour to do her make up, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, foundation, blush, lipstick, bronzer, lip gloss, earrings, highlights, shadows. She loved makeup it was fun to her to transform herself.

"Brother? You didn't tell me you had a brother, L I'm hurt," Mika replied jokingly. "But seriously it must be cool to have your brother going to school with you now. God knows I miss my lil sis Kisa every now and then," she sighed.
Seeing Adam wave at her and L, Mika waved back, "You know for a newbie he's pretty cute, no doubt he'll have a few admirers by the end of the school year." Mika couldn't help but confess, giving Adam a thorough once-over. "I just hope he doesn't go on that school tour with the other newbies later tonight or he might end up thinking this place is haunted." Mika smirked thinking of the little prank she had in stored. Let's just say it involves Mika having some fun using her phasing powers.
Which reminds me..."Hey Joseph do you think you could do me a favor? Can you make a huge thunder storm happen around 9:00pm for a little bit, 5 minutes tops pretty please?" Mika asked giving Joseph the best puppy dog eyes she could muster from across the table. If Joseph could do that, that would totally help her with her surprise for the newbies.

L laughed at Mika's fake hurt. "Sorry, I don't know how I forgot to tell you. Yeah, he's already got a few first years drooling after him, but after they discover I'm his siter they'll leave him alone." She then raised an eyebrow at her friend's evil plan. "Well lucky for Adam he'll be at the party. Which reminds me, I gotta go get ready." She sent a text to Adam asking if he'd give her a ride.
Adam appeared behind L with her hat, messing her hair up again from he gust of wind. "Sorry." He placed the hat on her head before she could attack him, a crooked grin on his face. "I was in the middle of forcing Mick to come to the party so can we hurry please?" H wrapped an arm around his sister and in the blink of an eye they were gone. Thank God for teleportation.

Please dont cry, i didnt want it this way. ((dress design: tehe ! but it's a deep blue with the same trim. ]] Mitsukai smiled. "I knew you would." Mitsukai said and hugged Nikky. "Okay baby, go get ready." She said and kissed Nikky on the check kicking her out once again. Mitsukai started going through her closet. She then found a deep blue dress that looked perfect. Mitsukai stripped down to her undergarmets and ran to the bathroom. Turning on the sink Mitsukai damped her hair till it was socked then wrapped it in a towel. Then she took it out and scrunched her hair with gel for about 30 minutes. Once Mitsukai was done she pulled her bangs back in the 'hump' and started her make up. She then shaved twice and put her dress on. After that Mitsukai did her makeup. She used eyeliner, minral powder cover up, lip gloss, and she was done. Mitsukai looked through her closet and put on her black steletos. Mitsukai did a look over in the mirror. "Great." She said and headed out. Only 30 minutes till the party and she had to prepare.
Mitsukai drove to the movie theater and looked over the place. "Decorations." She said and walked to the mall to the halmart store. Mitsukai bought ballons, a banner, and other party decorations and walked back into the theater. She sat down by the floor and started writting on the banner. "Happy 18th birthday Nikky. We love you~!" She wrote in huge letters and put it up by the entrence of the theater, surronded by ballons and stremers. "Decorations done," Mitsukai said and scoped out the best seats in the theater. The very back ones. Mitsukai grabbed sheets of paper and some pens. "Reserved Nikky." She wrote on the middle seat of the chair. "Reserbed Nikky's choice 1" "Reserved Nikky's choice 2" She wrote that on 8 diffrent sheats of paper and put four on one side of Nikky and four on the other. So Nikky could deside who sat next to her. Mitsukai walked up the the movie persons booth and made a power point that said "Hey Nikky. Happy 18th birthday. You're all grown up!! We love you baby girl." She typed. They were supposed to show that slide from 9:30 to 10:00. Since the movie started at 10. Once the area was all set up it was 9:15. Woot 15 more minutes!  Joseph smiled at Mika. "Sure." he said and excused himself from the table. He went to his room and put on a pair of hollister jeans and a polo shirt. There he'd look nice. Joesph laid on his bed and read harry potter till 9. He was on the 5th book. Yea he was late with the whole harry potter reading frenzy, but oh well. Once it was 9:00 he made it thunderstorm from 9:00-9:10. Then he walked to his car and headed to the mall.
Joesph stopped by a jewrly store and bought Nikky a gold heart locket with a dimand in the middle. She'd love that. He then stopped by halmart and got Nikky a card. It had an adorble mokey on it. Inside it said "happy 18th." He signed it and put it in an envolpe. Then Nathen sat at one of the benchs till 9:30. I wont lie, we're not going to make it, going to make it.

Kora smiled when the clock finally turned to nine. She had been primping and fixing her appearance for the last hour. The young woman stood and grabbed her bag , before heading out into the parking lot. It was sprinkling when she walked out to her car, but likeably she had parked close. The girl owned a small black hybrid; unsurprisingly she had gotten a really good deal on it from the old owner.
The car revved into life, and pulled out of the school’s parking lot. She drove slow in the now pouring rain, but soon the rain cleared up and she was able to drive fast. She arrived at the movie theater at exactly nine oh three. Once again she parked close to the door, and got out of her car, locking it. She left her bag inside but carried the small gift box under her left arm. The black netted ribbon scratched against her wrist and she had to switch arms and chuckled.
When Kora got inside she walked up to the ticket booth and spoke to the man behind the counter. “Good evening, I’m here for Nikky’s party.” She said sweetly. The man slipped her a ticket and said. “Theater fifteen, have fun.” Kora grinned and walked out of the lobby and into the bathroom to check her make up and waste some time so that she wasn’t the first to walk in.

Yes, the shortenings for the name Millennium Falcon were kind of... not good, but still. When Milo ran a hand through his hair, a wave of something seemed to... crackle? Like, static or something? That would be odd. Then again, if Devon really concentrated, he could feel a faint static aura around Milo. Was he imagining it? Hm. Curious. Veeeery curious. But then be mentioned rebel scum, and the redhead had to nod appreciatively. "Rebel scum? Dude, bump it," he commended, holding his fist out to Milo to, as they say, 'bump.' He then laughed, something he didn't do too often. Milo's comparison of them with the characters from Sword in the Stone was funny when imagined. Though Mitsukai probably would appreciate being called Wort.
His eye was caught briefly by the blonde girl whom everyone seemed to dislike. What was wrong with her? She was just a mortal. Whatevs, he figured. Didn't really bother him. As long as she kept a distance. Oh, and he seriously doubted Mitsukai would take the time to watch the sci-fi-related things Devon and Milo were referring to. It took a certain amount of nerdy dedication. If she tried, it would only be a dilettante attempt, he figured. She wasn't exactly the type. Not that there was anything wrong with that, but he'd bet money that she would be uninterested. Ohh, and now she was sulking, Devon noticed. He felt a little guilty for whatever reaction he may have caused, but another part of him figured she needed it. If she couldn't take a little playful teasing, then what fun was she? Some people were too easily offended. But again, that party invite. It wasn't like he had anything better to do, he thought as he got half-way through his barbecue-drenched burger. And if he got too terribly bored or whatever, he could always hijack another theater room and hook his laptop up to the projector and play one of his movies. It wasn't that hard. Ooh! And the movie theater sold candy. ...But this was a birthday party. Should he bring a present? He had no idea what this 'Nikki' Earthling would want. Hmm..
Almost through with his second dinner, he noticed most people leaving his table. Finally, those strange humans were gone. Maybe once he got to know them better their presence would be less insufferable, but they were just kind of bothersome at the present. Except for Milo. Milo was pretty awesome, as far as Devon was concerned. "Are you planning to partake in the frivolity this evening?" he asked Milo. "I have yet to decide whether I wish to join them yet." Now that he was done with his food, Devon decided to do a little research on this Drag Me to Hell movie they were talking about. Yup, horror flick. It would either be scary, disgusting, or cheesy. Or all of the above. Most horror flicks were. Devon himself wasn't a fan of horror, but he could stomach it. Though he didn't understand the motive for seeing it being the Justin Long fellow. He was hardly attractive. Perhaps he was funny or something.
(( Wow, this reminds me of when I was in high school twenty years ago. Everyone off going to have fun at a party with millions of friends and me at home with my Star Wars action figures. ))

Nikky hardly frowned as Mitsukai kicked her out, she was too happy with her friend to be truly upset. She headed back to her room quickly to get finished getting ready. Make up to compliment her wardrobe, and some gold hoop earrings. She found a headband that was teal with gold, and used that in her hair. Once she was satisfied with her appearance, she sprayed on her favorite purfume.
Nikky noticed that it was already a quarter past nine. She made her way out to her car, realizing it had just stopped raining, she gave a small smile. She hopped into the driver's seat, slinging her purse into the passenger's seat, and drove to the movie theatre.
Daina had already picked out her outfit. The black dress was a bit plain for her taste, so she added some of her own accessories. A pink belt to go around the waist, some pink and black bracelets, a pink bead necklace and pink hoops. Needless to say it wasn't hard to tell what her favorite colors were. Next, make up time! It didnt take Daina long to get ready. She was finished in fifteen minutes.
She grabbed her purse and headed out to her car when she ran into Cadence. "Hey, C! Wanna catch a ride with me? It would be better than everyone taking their own cars!" She said with a smile, waiting for her answer.
Cadence went to her room and rummaged through her clothes finally coming up with the perfect dress for the party. Once she put it on and found the matching heels, Cadence looked in the mirror. "Hmm, time to lose the glasses." She said with a smile as she looked around on her vanity for her contacts. She found the container holding them, and put them in. Then she took care of her make-up. all in all it wasn't too long. Cadence curled her hair, the long brown locks fell nicely over her shoulders, and for a hairpiece, she had a red rose pinned to her head pulling back some of her bangs from her face.
When she deemed herself ready to leave, she started heading out to the parkinglot. She saw Daina and heard her request. "Of course I'll go with you. I just need to stop by a store real quick to pick up Nikky's present!" She said, finding out Daina had to do the same.
They went to a small boutique that had alot of random stuff. Cadence got Nikky a journal that she kept saying she needed, and Daina got her a charm bracelet, and a charm to go with it, a small heart. Once they got their things wrapped up, it was 9:20. The distance from the small store to the movie theatre wasn't far, they made it just in time.

"Yes! Love ya Joseph!" Mika said in triumphant. With all her friends getting ready for Nikky's party, Mika decided to get ready herself. Instead of taking the normal/long route to the dorms Mika took a shortcut by phasing through a couple walls.
Once she was back at her dorm Mika took a quick shower and blow dried her hair in the bathroom until it was dry and perfectly straight. Looking over her closet, Mika tried to find a cute outfit to wear. She was slightly leaning towards wearing her red halter cocktail dress but decided against it, she wasn't feeling in a dress mood. Finally after a few minutes of debating with herself Mika decided on a sleeveless white corset-fitted top with a matching pleated skirt that fell an inch above the knee. To complete her look Mika donned on black leather knee-high boots before looking herself over in her mirror. Applying some foundation and lip-gloss Mika was all set.
Looking at the clock next to her bed she watched as the time changed from 8:59pm to 9:00pm. Right on the dot, Mika immediately heard thunder and a down-pour. It looks like Joseph kept his promise Mika grinned mischievously to herself. She had about 30 minutes before the party started and the mall only a 10 minute drive away. "Time to have some fun." Mika chuckled softly as she phased through her dorm door. At that moment the school was eerily quiet with the exception of the thunder storm, but that was going to change very soon if Mika had her way.

L laughed as Adam flashed her back to her room, runing inside the dorm quickly. She threw the box onto her bed and immediately tore it open and grabbed the beautiful black dress. It had taken her forever to find it, but she did. L stripped down to her undergarments and ran into the bathroom where she shaved quickly. She then grabbed some curlers from under her sink and shoved them in every other strand of her hair, a trick her mother had taught her.
She then put a shower cap over her head so the curlers would stay in place. Smiling in satisfaction, L turned and sprinted out of the bathroom towards her closet. She stepped into the dress and tied the bow around her waist, smoothing out any wrinkles. She went through her jewelry box and found these sparkley black hoop earrings Nikki had gotten her years ago. She then found adorable fishnet ties and wrapped them around her wrists. She ran back into the bathroom and undid the curlers, smiling happily at the perfect result. She then ran back to her closet and strapped on some black stilettoes.
She then applied black eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss, making a loud smacking sound with her lips. With a soft sigh she grabbed the present box for her friend and skipped out to her car.
Adam went to his room and put on a black polo, tying a striped black-and-white tie around his neck. He then put on his best black skinny jeans. Combing his hair with his skinny jeans he sighed softly. He could just teleport to the theatre so he had nothing to do for twenty more minutes. he heard a noise outside his room and opened the door to see L leaving. "Hey wait up!" Grabbing the tiny red box on his bed he bolted out the door after his sister.
Twenty minutes later the white GTI pulled up to the movie theatre, L and Adam stepping out of it with presents in hand, walking up together to the ticket man. "Here for Nikk's birthday." The guy slipped them two tickets as Adam grinned, pocketing both as the siblings walked into the theatre.
Mick sighed as she lay on her bed. Adam had brought her here and told her she had to go to the party. Why not? It might be fun. She sorted through her closet and found an old dress that still fit. She then found some black high heels and slipped them on. She went to the bathroom and brushed her hair before taking a red bow and tying it to a strand of her hair.
She found some red lipstick and put it on before covering it with some lip gloss. Mick then applied some black eyeshadow and mascara before putting everything awya and walking back to her closet. She searched for a few minutes before she found it. With a smile she left the dorm with the box in hand in car keys in the other.
Twenty minutes later Michaela pulled up to the theatre in her black Volvo, stepping out quickly as she saw Adam and L enter. She was going to hurt Adam for this. Walking up to the ticket man she gave him her kindest smile. "Nikky's birthday dude." He handed her a ticket and pointed towards theatre 15.

Mika couldn't stop grinning to herself, her plan went off without a hitch. As a matter of fact, the result was better than she expected. Oh what a story she had to tell her friends!
Looking at her cellphone, the time read 9:15pm. The rain had stopped about 5 minutes ago and Mika decided she should probably head out now. With her present safely tucked in her purse, Mika made her way to her car, a 1967 Black Shelby GT500. It was a nice little trinket she inherited from her father. The drive wasn't too bad and Mika was there before she knew it.
