Karoku moved his hand around her waist and swam over to a ledge just above the water surface. He waited for her to climb on to the ledge before speaking. "I followed you because, well, I seem to worry about you easily." He rubbed the back of his head, keeping himself up with one arm on the ledge, his body still in the water. He eventually crawled out as well and sat next to Enya. With a snap of his fingers, his ki came from within him and lit up a radius of five feet around them. He could make it a bit brighter, but he figured it would be a waste of energy right now.

Blushing yet again, Enya sat on the ledge with her feet in the water, a bit amazed by Karoku's ability to make it brighter, but mostly thankful. "I'm grateful then, that you did..." She replied in a quiet voice, her toes wiggling in the water. Her mind moved quickly from that, however, to the water in front of her, "Maybe I should have thought this through more..." She sighed to herself as she made a mental assesment of how much power she had left and what exactly it was she wanted to do with it.

Karoku smiled at her and leaned back. He found it difficult to hold back a slight chuckle when she spoke again. He let loose the small laugh and looked down at the water. "Neh, it's fine." He looked up towards the slope they fell in on and looked around for ways to get back up. He thought of a way, knowing it might now work anyway, but was probably worth a try. Though, he didn't say anything just yet. "Enya, what kind of ritual do you do with the water?" He asked her, still smiling warmly at her and looking into her eyes with a hint of affection.

Smiling slightly, Enya stretched her arms up and let out a long sigh. "It's not exactly a ritual... it's just... something I started doing when I was younger..." With a slight yawn she flopped back hard on the stone, her back cracking and popping in several places. She wasn't sure how to continue, she was entering the realm of "things only Fenrir knows", and she wasn't sure if she should say anything. It was kind of like treading on sacred ground, still, she knew she had to say something. "When... when I was little, my sister Anya was always very sick... I w- I would go out every night to this stream nearby out city, and I would stand in it and imagine that all of my good energy was filling her up, and I was taking all the bad away..." She shook her head and sat up again, pulling her knees to her chest.
"She never got any better, but... when I finally managed to get some medicine for her, I kept it up... She does something similar every morning, only with fire." Enya explained, and with a long sigh she stood up; she hadn't told Karoku everything, she wasn't any good at talking, and besides... the whole story was something only Fenrir knew, something she had told him in deepest confidence when he was still a wolf and had followed her that first night, and she was worried that if she told Karoku then somehow Fenrir would find out and she would lose the person she confided in. Enya glanced back at Karoku, smiled a bit more, and stepped off the ledge and back into the water.

Klepto_Kit Grinning, Tatsu flopped into her chair, looking smug and confident. "Sometimes you need to employ scare tactics to get what you want," She explained, a smirk on her face. "Well now, let's see... I want to find what smells so good..." She hummed, thinking out loud as she picked up the menu and read over it, frowning thoughtfully; and then she grinned brightly. "Curried meatballs and stir fried vegetables? Sounds good to me..." She looked up from the menu at Korsu, that slightly devious expression returned. "So, what do you want?" She asked, which was a not so subtle way of asking, "Let's see what your diet is." Korsu chuckled at Tatsu and he looked over the menu. After a minute of looking through it he shrugged and said, "I'll have the seafood alfredo. Nice and simple." He grinned at her, his fangs catching a little light. He waved down the waiter and then ordered for them. While they were waiting for their food he asked, "Ok, I know that you must have some more questions. Ask away."

"I hadn't decided yet" "Nowhere in particular"
They both let out a sigh after answering at the same time. Neither of them had any plans, only a goal. Their main plan consisted of finding information on the street or in a bar. Asking around for awhile in one city usually got them a lead. All of Malcholar's leads seemed to prove fruitful. Kaledan's had yet to once. The pirates he was hunting were like ghosts. He himself knew very little about them.
"You see miss Rhia, we don't have a particular destination. Our journeys just have to be related in a couple of areas, their lack of direction is one of those. That is one of the reasons I put up with this man's company."
"Other than the fact that you need my skills and knowledge that is? And drop the "miss" I'm sure it just digs at her under the surface."
"You may have been brought up without any manners in the desert, but I was raised with dignity and respect."
"And where exactly was that at?"
"The sky."
Their bickering ended their. They had a silent agreement not to push each other's past. His companion's origins intrigued Malcholar, but that was one line he didn't push. Besides, he could tell his companion's temper was rising fast.
"My apologies miss Rhia, I had forgotten that we were arguing in your company."
Malcholar caught on to the taunt when Rothmet used the word 'miss' but didn't take the bait.

Rhia grinned impishly and shrugged; the bickering really didn't bother her.
"Don't apologize Rothmet, I don't mind it," she replied readily, pushing some stray hairs out of her face so she could make eye contact.
They walked a few more minutes through the streets, the sky darkening slowly into a blue-grey twilight. It was nice outside, a gentle breeze moving through the streets, and Rhia inhaled the clean air.
The three of them approached a small, one story house that perched comfortably on the edge of a side street, a small stone walkway leading to the wooden front door. The front lawn was a bit overgrown, weeds sprouting up in patches, and something about the house seemed empty. Still, it was quiet and peaceful in this part of town, and the stillness soothed Rhia as she approached her house.
"Here it is," she announced, walking up and rummaging through her pack to get her key. She found it by touch, the smooth metal ridges cool against her fingers.
Quickly, Rhia unlocked the door and held it open for her new companions, politely allowing them in first.

Karoku listened closely, not probing any further when she was done, knowing very well that it was a personal matter and he had no authority to look into. He smiled back at her when she jumped back into the water, allowing his ki to travel with her so she had light. He sat Indian style and placed his elbow on his thigh, then opened his palm enough for his chin to rest in his hand. He let out a sigh, beginning to think of his own life. He had never fit in with his family. They were too... formal, too strict. He just couldn't live like that. He remembered guards following him wherever he went and how much it had angered him. It took the death of a friend for him to finally realize he wasn't meant for such traditions as royalty. Since leaving, he hadn't once, used his bloodline to gain something. He had built up from nothing, and become something. His title of Yami, still echoed in certain people's mind. Which lead him to his assassin days. He still was, but didn't take as many jobs as before.

Enya kicked her legs and swam as far down as she could without getting a headache from the pressure, imagining all the while that she herself was being washed clean of negative thoughts. That completed, she turned the other direction and kicked up, letting her breath out as she went, so that when she reached the surface she needed to gasp in a deep breath. She treaded the water for a moment, and then she focused her energy and maniupulated the water around her, using it to lift her up until she was balanced on the surface of it as if it were a stable, solid, thing. She turned away from Karoku then and fell into silent contemplation, her eyes closed as she slipped deep into thought about Anya.

Karoku lifted his head and his ears slicked back as he watched her. He wanted to see her smile, but probably wouldn't see that until she was finished or maybe even longer. He began to play with his ki, making a beautiful scene around her as she performed her daily ritual. It was as if fire was falling around her and fading before it reached the water. Karoku's ears lifted up as he gazed upon Enya in the rain of energy.

The light seemed kind of odd, but Enya kept her eyes closed and focused only on her sister, until the point where she felt like they were standing side by side. 'Please keep Anya healthy and safe... especially from the influence of the Crystal Goddess...' She thought to herself, praying silently to who ever was listening. That done, she stretched up her arms and let out a long sigh, imagining that somehow even in this cave that the moonlight was restoring her energy; actually, she felt quite a bit refreshed, though she wouldn't go as far as to say that she had all of her energy back. For a moment, Enya's mind was empty of everything: the sound of crystals, the Goddess's voice, even her own thoughts.
With a sigh, she opened her eyes, and then was so shocked by the lighting effects she released her control over the water and dropped back through the surface with a shriek. 'This seems to be happening a lot lately... She thought to herself as she sank slowly.

Outside, on a street corner not too far from the restaurant where Tatsu and Korsu were eating, a young Saorill female stood. Her red hair was tucked behind her ears, revealing a pair of deceptively relaxed grey eyes. Every now and then a person would stop to appreciate the rare spectacle. It wasn’t everyday one got to see such a skilled juggler. Round and round, up and down they went. Seven brightly colored spheres. Red, blue, green, yellow, indigo, orange, and violet.
Suddenly they would remember that they had other business and would rush off, but before that they would place some money into the bucket at the girl’s feet. A thank you for the show she put on. She waited for the street to empty a bit before finally stopping. One by one the colored balls fell to the ground. One by one she picked them up and placed them in the bucket, taking out the day’s money as she did so. Looking up, she smiled. Across the street was the same boy who had followed her for the past two weeks. She made a motion for him to come over. After only a moment’s hesitation, he complied.
“Do you like juggling?” She asked, placing the last of the balls into the bucket. Looking up, she waited for the boy to get over his shyness, a playful smile at her lips.
“Yes ma’am.” The boy replied.
She giggled. “The names Tara, not ‘ma’am’. What’s yours?”
“Thomas, but my friends call me Tom.”
“Well Tom, I’m pretty much done with juggling. At least for now. It’d be a shame if I had to throw these away.” At the word ‘these’ she gestured to the balls in the bucket. “How ‘bout you take them and you can learn how to juggle by yourself. You’ve surely gotten the basics down. What with watching me all these weeks.” Tara grinned teasingly as the boy blushed.
“Thank you, Tara. I won’t forget y- this.”
Tara watched as the boy took off down the streets, cradling the spheres as if they were precious gems. Once he had disappeared from sight, Tara set about gathering the rest of her stuff. From the ground she picked up her cloak and sword belt. The latter went around her waist, the familiar weight of the two swords a reassurance to her. The former went over her shoulders, hiding from sight the brown tank top she wore, as well partially obscuring the matching cargo pants.
Now it was time for dinner. The Saorill certainly had enough money, considering the generosity of the people on the streets. Making sure she had left nothing behind, Tara followed her nose down the street.
OoC: Geez that's long... I hope it isn't too much.

Karo sighed and chuckled a bit before diving into the water after Enya. Yes, it probably wasn't necessary and he knew it, but he felt like jumping in anyway. He swam up to her and smiled, releasing a few bubbles when his mouth opened. He embraced her lightly and swam to the surface. He felt like a fool, but liked the feeling that he may have done something kind. He took a deep breath once his head burst up from the surface and continued to hold Enya for a moment then let go suddenly and laughed nervously. "S-sorry!" He rubbed the back of his head, kicking the water lightly underneath and using his other arm to keep himself up. He moved back a bit and continued to smile nervously. "Hehehe..."

((It's perfect! Don't be ashamed!))
Tatsu flashed Korsu a grin, "Actually, not so much... Mostly I just want to get a good look at you in action." She laughed, and she propped her head up on the table, eyes flashing. "I should take you out into the middle of nowhere and see how you fair against a couple of monsters..." She said, a devious look in her eyes.
*************
Blushing slightly, Enya swam backwards for bit and then treaded the water there, looking down. She was confused and didn't know what to say, but she couldn't help but smile a laugh a bit, Karoku's actions were kind of funny... Still, she didn't know what to think, either. She liked Karoku, that much she would admit to, but farther than that? It had taken Caiden and her months to reach the point where she needed to explain things, and yet she felt like she was about to reach that point now with Karoku. So instead she sought a distraction, and with a laugh she flung a handful of water in his face, attempting to initate a splash fight.

Karoku gasped a bit when water struck his face. He was dazed for a moment, staring at Enya, then grinned and placed his hand in the water, flicking to throw some water back up at her. He laughed a bit and moved his hand up, spraying her with even more.
