Asher grinned. "Well, I was wondering if sometime soon you'd like to accompany me to... a place." He almost said where he wanted to take her, but wanted to try to surprise her. "It would take whatever amount of time you were able to take... a few hours, to a whole day..."

Nastara wondered at his re-wording but chose not to push it, as she quickly realized he was asking her on a date. Fighting the very-unladylike urge to squeal ( a bad habit she'd picked up from her nieces) she took a deep calming breath before speaking. Well, at the moment I have bread in the oven, it should be done in about an hour. I have no other plans for the rest of today, and I am potentially free tomorrow as well." She stopped and wondered if she was seeming to desperate for his company.

Asher breathed a sigh of relief, happy that she still wanted to see him. "Well, later today or tomorrow works for me, I have nothing planned. I'll leave it up to you when we should go?" He didn't want to rush her cooking or to pull her away from her family.

"DRATZ!" Nastara thought, he'd turned the decision back to her. She paused for a moment, making a show of thinking before she spoke."Well, as I said I'm free, I suppose its up to you how soon you'd like to see me...." Nastara thought that sounded nicely coy.

He wanted to bang his head against the wall for getting stuck in his own trap and had to think hard for his response. After a few quick moments, he decided on, "Well, if I saw you everytime I wanted to see you, you'd never be at home." After he finished, he wanted to bang his head against the wall AGAIN, hoping his response didn't sound creepy in anyway. That was the last thing he needed.

Nastara blushed and gave a small giggle, usually uncharacteristic of her, yet becoming more so around Asher. " Well, since you conveniently left out where we'd be going, I can't really make an informed decision on when best to go. But I also would like to get as much time with you as possible. So if you decide to wait till tomorrow, would you be able to come over for a short visit today? I've made more lemonade, strawberry this time, a cherry pie, brownies, and I"ll soon have hot cinnamon raisin bread" She'd always heard that the way to a man's heart was through his stomach, so she was putting it to the test.

"Wow, that sounds wonderful, thank you. There's no way I could resist an offer as generous as that. What time should I be over?" His eyes widened when he heard cherry pie. He hadn't had cherry pie in a long time... Besides, he couldn't resist the chance to spend more time with Nastara.

Nastara felt a bit lightheaded at the repeated proof that he indeed did want to spend time with her. Her voice shook a bit as she spoke, "You're most welcome Asher! Come over whenever you are ready."

"Alright. I look forward to seeing your beautiful eyes," he said right before he hung up, not giving her a chance to respond. After having been pacing earlier, debating whether or not to call, he almost started pacing AGAIN, debating what time to arrive. If he rushed over there, he'd seem too eager... But he didn't want to take too long. "Fashionably late" was not his thing. Asher decided to run to the bathroom to clean himself up a bit more before he headed out to the garden and studied the various flowers Fae had planted. He knew Fae liked gardening, but he also knew she had no clue what the flowers were half the time- she chose for color scheme, prettiness, and whether or not they could grow in direct sunlight or shade. He clipped off several stems of flowers he found to look nice, arranged them, tied a ribbon the same color as Nastara's roses around the stems in a bow, and started walking towards her house, nervous once again.

It was a good thing that Asher hung up when he did, because Nastara spoke "awww, how sweet!" then blushed but realized he'd hung up and was thankful- though still embarased. After hanging up the phone she went off in search of Emerald and found her in the sewing room.
"Hello Emerald. I was thinking, that the kids have all been really good, they deserve a treat. Earlier today Jasper cleaned up his room without my asking, and even got Illeyana to help him! It might be a good idea to take them out for Ice cream or something. It has been a warm day, and I've had the oven on."
Emerald turned from her machine to look at the Illumen, and saw immedatly where this was going. And Emerald being Emerald she couldn't resist teasing Nastara a bit. " Oh, a treat huh! Well I guess its a good thing you've been baking all day, I'm sure you made something the kids would all like."
Nastara blushes and looked a bit flustered. "Well.....But....um....I.....Ple..." after several false starts she just trailed off.
Emerald reached a hand out to give Nastara a gentle pet. "Its ok sweetheart, I understand what you are asking. I'll take the kids out, and leave the house to you for a bit."
"Thanks Em! You're the best!" Flashing her a truly happy smile Nastara dashed for the bathroom to primp and prepare. While Emerald rounded up Illeyana, Lunaria, and Jasper and headed out.

As Asher followed the bend in the road, he was able to see Emerald's house. He took a deep breath before walking closer, wondering if he should stand at the door with the flowers in plain sight or behind his back. He wasn't sure which would be cheesier... He shrugged to himself and figured that he'd end up doing one on impulse anyway, so he rang the doorbell before deciding.

Emerald had done as she suggested and taken everyone else for ice cream and a movie. After her primping Nastara set about finishing her baking.
The last loaf of raisin bread was out of the pan and cooling on a rack before Nastara heard the bell she'd been waiting for. Making sure she walked at a sedate pace so as not to seem to eager she made her way to the door and opened it, already smiling happily knowing who she would see.

Asher caught his breath when he saw her. She smelled of delicious freshly-baked things and looked as beautiful as ever. He hadn't thought to put the flowers behind his back, and he held them out to her, sort of dumb-foundedly, grinning. "Hello! You look absolutely stunning today, if I may say so."

She blushed and would've ducked her head if she'd been able to look away from him. " Thank you dear! I'm so glad you came over, I've been missing you so." As he shifted she noticed the flowers and let out a small squeal of delight as she took them. "oh how pretty!" Her cheeks pinked as she smiled at him through her lashes, her nose in the flowers. " Please, come on in, I'll just go put these in water!"
She stepped back and headed for the kitchen to find a vase. Once she found a suitable vase she carefully untied the ribbon from the arrangement, making sure to keep the flowers as they were. Gingerly she transfered them to the vase and smiled at how nice they looked. On a whim she took the dark purple ribbon and tied it in a small bow about her forepaw.

Asher smiled at her, glad she liked the flowers. "Thank you very much for inviting me over again! I enjoy time with you." He sat down a few feet in front of the door, not sure where she would want him to go, and waited patiently for her return.
