 "Yea I kinda forgot about that fact" Yuki said, laughing. She walked out, and was silently hoping that she wouldn't burn Glitch. She felt around in her jeans pocket, and felt a piece of paper. Yuki lifted her hand out, and looked at the photo of a blue haired boy, and what she guessed was herself. She turned the photo over, and read Yuki and Alex eight years old today, and there was a date.
"Wish I could remember him," she muttered and put the photo back in her pocket.

Freya lost her concentration as she heard the women speak and the fire died away, "Freya Steele, i was offered a geography post here," She said smiling nicely, "Thanks, i've been able to do it for a few years now and my control seems to get more powerful the older i get."
She turned and looked up towards the sun, "What is this contest thing i heard two of the girls talking about earlier?"

Chaos by name  * * * CHAOS * * *
Chaos just let the..chaos wash over him, listening to the conversation half-heartedly. Suddenly there was movement and talk of going outside.
"I think i'll pass if you don't mind"
He said.
Glitch's hyperactive nature was beginning to grind on his nerves and he'd be thankful for half an hours worth of peace and quiet. He watched Glitch and Yuki leave. It paid particular attention to Yuki leaving. He sighed and pushed the last of his food away from him, suddenly not hungry. He didnt understand why Yuki held such a power over him.
Had he met her before perhaps? Lost somewhere in his memories? His eyes clouded with confusion. Why did he have no memories. The anger welled up inside of him. It just wasn't fair.
Suddenly he felt sick and with a loud tearing noise his large bat wings sprouted from his back. Shredding his t-shirt. Normally this process wouldn't hurt but this time the pain was agonizing. He collapsed to his knees and grunted in pain. As the wings flared out his eyes swirled with darkness.
As just as suddenly as the wings had appeared they vanished in a cloud of purplish grey smoke.
He gasped for breath, the pain still too recent a memory. What had just happened. His wings only ever appeared during the night or when he was in shadows. In the middle of the cafeteria during breakfast time was neither of these two scenarios.
Drool had seeped from the corner of his mouth and he wiped it away. His eyes wide with disbelief over what had just happened.

Skye smiled happily at Freya, it was nice to have another teacher around other than Dr Essex.
"The contest is more of an audition I think for Team leader for missions and such that Essex plans on sending us out on. I think its missionary work by what I can gather. Help out people and as a result people will come to know about the school and about the good work that is done here."
Skye shrugged.
"That's just a guess-timate though. I may be wrong. I think the contest is optional, but the impression I got from Essex was that he'd like everyone to at least have a pop at the test. Although he never let on what the test actually was. Guess in a few hours we'll find out. It starts at 3"

Freya turned away slightly as her nose began to itch, she brought her hand up just in time and sneezed into it, she vanished instantly and moments later reappeared, "Damn cold," she grumbled to herself.
Turning back to face Skye she smiled and asked thinking back to how Dr Essex knew she was there?, "Have you ever seen Dr Essex show any signs hof having "Gifts" like the people her and me included?"

Skye hadn't really thought of that question before.
"You know, he does come across as a little creepy, but I don't actually know if he has any powers. I have a gift and i've seen most students here display some form of a mutation. So I guess since he founded this school it makes sense to assume he has an ability too. Although I dont know what it actually is."
She thought about it some more.
"I guess next time we see him we should ask."
Skye looked up at the sun then back at Freya.
"I'm going to go take a look at the basketball court to see if anythings going on yet. Do you want to come to? Or shall I leave you to your practicing"

Glitch breathed a sigh of relief as she stepped out into the mid morning sunshine. Only a few hours left till the big test and she was feeling sick. Or was that the result of all that food she had eaten? She turned around and put her hands behind her head as she stretched. She grinned at Yuki.
"It must be so awesome being able to fly. I must admit i'm pretty jealous"
It was a lovely day and Glitch was glad they had chosen to come outside.

Freya thought for a second and then smiled, "Thanks, but i'm going to stay here and practice for a bit, i might catch up with you in a while though."
She turned and saw Glitch and Yuki walk out of another door further down the building, she looked up at the sun and smiled, the sun was basically just a massive ball of fire, in theory she could control it as well, she didn't know if her power was limited to distance or just sight, but in theory she could make the sun burn brighter, burn hotter and not burn at all, she wondered if she would ever be brave enough to try her theory.

"It is fun to fly, but crashing into the ground stinks" Yuki said, laughing.
"I'm glad we came outside, its a perfect day" she said, and took a few steps away from Glitch. She took a deep breath, and consentrated. A small ball of fire floated in front of her, and she smiled.
"I did it" Yuki exclamed.

 Alisha wandered the corridors, letting her feet choose direction aimlessly as she explored her new environment. She saw a room, lit from windows, and tested the door knob. From the corridor the room looked basic. A large chalkboard covered much of one wall, windows along the far wall, and in the back were posters and shelves. Desks were lined up neatly, facing the board. The door was unlocked and she walked in, closing the door behind her. Hanging on the chalkboard was a giant pad of graph paper. Next to the board was a chalk-suited compass. The posters in the back were faded math-encouragement posters, with out-of-date characters. Alisha walked over to the windows, walking on the side of the room the board hung on. She looked out to the grounds, it appeared to be a courtyard. It was large, well-kept, with even a few trees and flowerbeds. She scanned the area outside the window for any signs of life, or fellow students. (Are you guys in a courtyard, in front of the school, in the back of the school? Are the basket ball courts in the back?)

((I think the back...but I'm not too sure)) Yuki smiled, "That's the first time I didn't burn myself." She tried to shape the little fireball into a ring shape.

Freya sat down on the grass with her legs crossed, she had only attempted this once before and her concentration had broken and she had lost control of it, luckily it had been in the middle of a field and noone was hurt.
Closing her eyes she started to concentrate, she was satisfied that noone was near, small wisps of flame started to appear from all directions merging into a sphere, within seconds it was the size of a small car, if she lost her concentration now it would be fairly destructive.

(( sorry if i wasn;'t clear enough but the sphere is hovering in the air a few metres from her, and she is further down building from where Glitch and Yuki are ))
