he pulled away from the wolves. the cold didnt bother him. he was bleeding from a gash in his side, caused by the ice. angrily, he slammed his nodachi back into it's sheath.* ...yukari is right. too damn reckless.."he shunpo'd, he needed to relax and here was not the place to do it. the anger in him seemed different this time, almost...controlling. no, he would clear his head. he stepped out of shunpo on the roof of his quarters. his favorite place.*

Kira watched in horror as Kei was defeated and fell to the ground bleeding out. All he could do was go over to Kei, kneeling beside him. He took the Nibantai taichou's hand in his own for comfort in his final moments. "I'm here, Kei.." It felt awkward using his first name, but it was a courtesy that Kira felt Kei deserved..even if it was at an ill-fated time. He was having trouble controlling his facade seeing one of his friends dying so dishonorably.

Kei reached into his kosode, and pulled out a envelope, a copy to what he gave Kagaya. "This... is the release papers... to a Ryuzaki Hakashi. I want you to make sure... he gets out. I believe... he will... be of use to you. His... zanpakuto is in my office, under a floorboard beneath my desk." Kei gave Kira a weak smile."I am so very sorry... for causing trouble. I... I didn't want Kagaya go to trial, I know... they wont give him a chance."

Blood drips on the floor, A long blade running from Kais chest to a few feet away to the hilt of Roberts zanpakuto. Jerking the cavalry sword out he began to head back into the central 46 building to report to his peers. He was having a hard time breathing but he felt that the wounds he took would not end his life. The doors closed and locked behind him.

Kira had never felt more useless than he did at the moment when Edwood's zanpakuto pierced Kei's heart, killing him. Blue eyes widened as Kira was spattered with blood which turned to a death glare at seeing Robert. The Soutaichou was furious with the Central 46 member, but out of respect for Kei, he held his composure, but barely. He was shaking from anger as he took the envelope from Kei's hand before placing it over his chest and standing. Looking down to the dead taichou, Kira addressed Seto. "Natsume-taichou..see that his body is taken care of..It appears as though I have an assignment.." With that, the blond left the area, choosing to walk, rather than shunpo to Nibantai's Office.

Saratobi was still in the Second Division training grounds when he felt it. Hakashi-Taichou...fighting near...Central 46? He looked to the Shinigami at the Shinigami around him. "I don't know what is going on yet, but prepare for battle." He looked to the Omnitsukido Patrol Corp Member in the tree." "Any members not on patrol get them out there now and tell Yuki to get over to Central 46" With that Saratobi ran out of the Second Division barracks and headed towards Kei's now dwindling reiatsu. He arrived too late.

"Taichou!!!!!!!!!" He ran over to Kei's body and knelt down besides it. "HAKASHI-TAICHO!!!! The anger was boiling inside of him. He has had so few friends in his life. And they always seemed to have died. He stood up and pulled out his zanpakuto and screamed "WHO DID THIS!" Kei's death will not go unavenged

Kagaya started to come around, his hand moved, then he moved his head slightly, both movements hurting like hell. He opened his eyes and instantly regretted it, the light too bright all at once. He closed them and blinked a couple of times to clear the fog in his head. He noticed someones body on the ground, surrounded by blood. He heard someone call out Kei's name. "N...No, please no, not Kei. Ungh....It's my fault, it's all....my fault." Kagaya said as he started to pull himself over to Kei's body. If he had just stayed with Kei none of this would have happened. His hands started bleeding, there were ice fragments everywhere, but he didn't care, he wanted to get closer to Kei. He respected the man, Kei had risked everything for him, there were tears running down Kagaya's face, he didn't even notice, he only felt his eyes stinging. He finally got near enough to touch Kei's body. "I'm so sorry Kei. I should have listened to you, I'm so sorry." Kagaya said as he layed his hand on Kei's shoulder.
