I had to tell everyone, I'm so excited!
So on wednesday I had this art history essay due, I was so nervous about it. The teacher assigned 3 essays but we only have to do two, so I didn't do the first one, and I wasn't there the class she handed the first ones back, but apparently my teacher bitched for 15 minutes about how bad the essays were. Then she even said this 2nd one was the hardest one, but I just saw my grade and I got a 90! whoo hoo! That really makes be happy, I *can* write essays about art history.

so here's something random and kinda funny...
so the other weekend me and my freind took the Shinkansen to Kyoto
and on the Side of the Shinkansen Trains is their logo, "Ambitious Japan!"
^^ we're like "wow that's awesomehow they say Ambitious Japan"
then we made up this little joke. see the fastest of the Shinkansen trains
is the "Nozomi", the sencond fastets is the "Hikari"
so my frirend is like, well since the Hikari is slower...shloudn't it say
"Slighty less ambitious Japan" xd xd biggrin smile stare well i thouht
it was funny as hell. sweatdrop

Is anyone else doing their finals this week? I know most of you are in junior or senior highschool. Don't think I'm bragging but my grades are so much better than I expected them to be. Like in my 3rd year japanese class. I somehow managed an 87 on my final, my teacher loved my project and I ended up with an A- in the class, yay, it's my first A in japanese for a while. She was really nice to us this semester for some reason.

Classical Japanese final attempted to kill me today-- the misty, rainy weather was well suited for the gloom that hung in the classroom thick like molasses....
I found out I'm supposedly 2kyuu level. I don't believe the lying bastards at my host university-- you can't determine the true abilities of one's language from such a small, limited test. :irritated: I feel like I am doing nothing but running into the same wall OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Kanji level stayed at the same level of 18/20. Reading comprehension stayed at the same level as when I came here. The only things that showed any improvement whatsoever were listening/grammar (grammar only improved because I didn't attempt that section on the first "welcome to japan-- you're jetlagged and here's your placement test" bit of hell in September). I saw an amazing lack of improvement, and a draining away of my will to study. gonk
Re: the shinkansen and ambitious japan logo. This is just hearsay, since I'm far too much of a bum to check it but I believe the logo has a connection with the TOKIO song of the same title. Considering the band is fairly large and JR is now privatized, I can see them using the song as a form of promotion. sweatdrop [/idiocy]

grrr, gotta b***h aout Gaia now. Apparently there was a bug that made people earn a lot of goal and they'll have to do a roll back to what the accounts were on May 9th. I hope i get the donation letter that I just sold last night back because I i don;t want to loose the money (and I sold it at a fair price too, I wasn't taking advantage)

it is sad that i joined just to study the threads i haven't gotten to know anyone since i joind. but that is okay. i just want to let ya know i didn't just join for a dumb reason that this guild is really helping me study. 3nodding thanks everyone for posting so much information

yay for off-topic-ness whee
okay i just came to b***h stressed
gaia wouldnt allow me to sign in every time i typed in gaiaonline.com on my browser it gave me the whole "page cannot be displayed" crap. then when i finally get on after what(?!) 3 hours of trying giving up going to the mall to grab a new manga that came out and coming back it works. but then the doujinshi site im posting doujinshi from into 2 guilds of mine wouldnt allow me on soi had to restart the computer after like another 20 minutes of that. but when it restarted itself i sisnged online got to the doujinshi page and the computer restarts itself automatically w/o me even pressing any buttons whatsoever. okay and after it finally starting to work i got on and gaia wouldnt work again so i just walked around the house aimlessly waiting for it to load and it finally did and i posted the next segment of the doujinshi and everyone was fricken happy. okay yah..ignore that little rant but i was really pissy and had to get it off my chest somewhere. OWARI
