Vale Kinomoto Marlah pulled a few out and laid them on his bags as she went to go look for a canteen to put fresh water in. "There are areas marked on the map that indicate safe viallges to stop at, they are also fair traders.""I hope you aren't thinking of leaving tonight, it's so close to dark. You should stay and then leave in the morning. We're going to have a bonfire tonight." Kira said informatively, though there were obviously other motives for her reastion, though it was only obvious to her mother. He smiled at Maralah "Ah thank you! That will be most helpful on my travels...." Getting a thoughtful look he glances at Kira "Well it has been awhile since I've slept in a bed but I don't want to impose on your family. The dark doesn't scare me." His tone is light and joking.

Maralah gave him a funny look. "Oh, you wouldn't be imposing. We have extra beds and rooms for travellers. Besides, I think Kira would enjoy all the extra company. She needs to practice her cookin anyways." she said, smiling brightly.
Kira blushed brightly. "Mother's right, we have plenty of extra beds and I always cook too much for the family anyways, you'd both be welcome to it." she said, looking over at Haiiro and smiling.

"Well if your sure then I'll stay! It's been far too long since I've had such pleasant company!! And I certanily can't miss out on Kira's cooking!"
Haiiro had smiled timidly back and spoke quietly "Thank you... I think I have to stay here anyway. At least until they find my parents.." He frowned a bit not wanting to think to much about it... he was more worried than he let on. His parents never disapeared like that!

"Good, I'll go get a bed prepared." Maralah said, going to do as she said.
Kira blushed even more then looked at Haiiro again. She walked over to him and took his hand. "You want to come outside with me for a minute?" she asked, seeing that he was worried.

Haiiro blinked and shifted shyly "Alright... I could use some air I guess." he took her hand ready to follow.
He watched the two kids before turning to where Maralah was "Do you need any help at all... I feel rather useless just sitting around."

Kira smiled gently and pulled him out the door, so to speak. When they were outside she turned and looked at him. "Would you like to go to the circle? It's quiet and peaceful." The circle was a place that the children used to take to when they wished peace from their parents, not many used it now.
Maralah smiled as she saw Kira take out Haiiro. "Oh no, I'm done. Your bed is turned down. You can come help me prepare some food for snacks before it's time to get into supper. Kira will make dinner in a bit."

He shrugged "Sure... what is it?" he gaze wandered to take in the sights of the village. It looked alot different from his home. He coudl feel a wave of homesickness coming... he didn't know how he'd sleep tonight!!
He smiled and nodded "Sure... just direct me on what to do! Food preparation isn't my greatest forte!"

"It's a clearing in the forest where we kids like to go to get away from our parents, no one else uses it anymore." she said, smiling and gently pulling him towards it.
"Just chop of those tomoatoes." Maralah said, pointing to the tomato and getting out some lettuce to shred. She was going to make tossed salad. She slid a knife over to him along with a cutting board. "Just put it in that wooden bowl."

Haiiro looked around with wide, innocent eyes trying to take in everything. Then he frowned a bit "You actually want to get away from your parents? Why? I like being with my parents..." He trailed off a little embarresed.. he supposed it wasn't normal for someone his age to be so attached to their parents.. but he'd alwasy been close with them!
He follows her directions carefully... only managing to nick his fingers twice.

((There wouldn't be any gold markers btw so please go back and change that to green or another more organic color. They would use dyes to mark the trees so browns, greens, stuff like that would be good))
She chuckled as she led Haiiro outside of the village and into the forest slightly, just far enough to get the circle. She sat down and then pulled him gently down next to her. "People here are close to their parents, but we are very independent and sometimes we need to think."

He nodded "Oh I see... I've never been away from my parents before. It was my first time traveling with them... and I get lost! I just don't understand why they couldn't find me... they never had any trouble before!" He was starting to get upset again and sniffed trying to hold his tears and emotions back. He didn't want Kira to think he was a baby!
((LOL even though he is! wink whee ))

She laughed and shook her head. "That's so hard to believe, I'm always away from my parents. We are all trained to be warriors after we turn eight since this forest is rough. But...."she took his hands gently. "I have to tell you that there may be a chance that my father won't be able to find your parents."

He blinked back even more tears and he nodded shakily "I..kn..know. Soemthing must have happened for them not to find me! They promised to always find me.. and they wouldn't break that unless they..." He broke off unable to get the words out. He had a feeling in his gut since they had been seperated.. he just didn't want to think about it! Or what he would do if... they couldn't be found!

She pulled him into a hug, her chin on the top of his head. He may have been older than her but she had been raised much differently than he had. "It's alright Haiiro." She kissed the top of his head gently in a comforting way. "I don't wish to be the bearer of bad news, but one of the wolf tribes may have gotten them. I'm just trying to give you teh facts so you aren't terribly shocked or suprised, or I guess broken up if my father comes back."
