I do get frustrated. It's not fun having your entire life pause for half a year, while everyone else that you know is still moving on ahead in their lives.
AND I'M BACK!!!!!!! I didn't really get that many stories, but I did get my car back, and a nice trip to Sushi Loco, which was my first meal back!!! whee

It's a little short lived though. I have duty tomorrow, so I'll spend a whole 24 hours at work. gonk Thankfully, internets in port works faster, so it's not that big of an issue. And we can send nubs out to grab real food!

I have a 3 section duty rotation. I'm on section 2, and section 1 is today. So once every 3 days I'll be at work.
And NUB stands for Non Useful Body. It's a sort of derogatory term we use to describe our trainees who aren't done with qualifications yet. We have another acronym for them as well. It's called Currently Untrained Nuclear Trainee. I'd do the acronym, but that seems a tad inappropriate! xp
OH, that reminds me. I got a web series to show everybody!!! Give me a few minutes!

ALRIGHTY!!! Gots an awesome web series for YOU!!! It's called Hey, Shipwreck! It's about a typical day in the navy! But in space!!! It goes through pretty much what we go through on a daily basis. http://www.youtube.com/tubedazePlease, start with season 1, and work your way through it! And for the really hard stuff, they conveniently added a translator to help you understand!!! ENJOY!!! blaugh

I started watching the show. I'll have to watch more tonight. So far I like it, although I'm having trouble hearing all the dialogue. And my laptop's screen is so old that the color is bad. Having everything so dark makes it hard to see!

Yeah, sorry about that. Can't do much about color when based in space. Sucks for the dialog though. Don't know how to fix that one, other than full blast everything.
