so much for that thought. he had too much confidence. he left no room for error, and that was his downfall. he tried again, this time more determined than cocky.

you remember gravity training? yeah, i'm having flashbacks to that too. he nearly fell once again, but maintained composure. he WOULD get this flight style down, no matter how long it took.

if someone ever tells you that determination does not pay off, call them an idiot. Rota could not be happier right now. he got the feel for the reflexes it took to work the dodge factor of manuvering flight. some more drills with the style, and he would turn his speed into momentum force.

that last practice could have gone better that it did. he had the form down just fine, but he hadn't quite got it consistent enough to be used yet. there was more polish to put on this technique, and he had to do it quick. he changed his priorities. his range possibilities needed to extend and fast. rota tried the lateral spin/list again. he needed to get this consistent.

this needs to go better damnit. past the initial learning his own movements, he hasn't consistently pulled off this manuver. oh well. one more try and he would call it solid, win or lose. either way, the style was learned, and he could move on to bigger and better things than flying...shooting ki.

Arin once again failed... This wasn't getting her very far... She really needed to get this done... But she would be patient... For now. She raised her finger to the mat and focused her ki into a point, pushing more and more to try and keep the technique flowing. She felt that she was eventually going to master it, but that she just needed to calm down and keep her mind on the present. That was going to be the secret. She was going to have this down before she even got back to Earth.

he failed his last attempt, but he had the style learned. he didn't like the route this thought was going, but he had to get in that ki training room with the saiyan woman. he didn't know how long this would take, but he was just going in to train. here's hoping my first step in the door isn't a blast in the face.
Technique Name: Ki shot Description of Jutsu: allows the user to form a ball of their ki that can be thrown/shot at their opponent. This is one of the most basic forms of attacking with ki, as it only requires a loosely-formed ball/beam/arrow/projectile (depending on your specialty/preference) of energy and the ability to move your arm (or not, as it were) Rank: E Kp Cost: 2 per shot (can fire two per combat turn) Damage: 1-5 + ki mod. + 1 per ten in ki control Requirements: ki control 10 Training: 1 day Special:
the attack roll is base attack bonus + ki mod. + 1 per ten in ki control

The entire room burst into purple and black flames, the beam of energy pounding into the wall and being absorbed by Alice. The room got several degrees hotter and was both bright as day and dark as night. It was a destructive blast, to be sure, and it most certainly would have devastated the opponent. She still seemed serious, and it seemed that she wasn't just training for the sake of training. There was a purpose behind her eyes, from what could be seen through her black waving hair. Her white tail was wrapped tightly around her waist.

And the flame continued to blast from Arin's outstretched finger, albeit less powerfully. The room still grew hotter, but at a much slower rate. It was more of a conserved beam than the previous blast, and it just kept feeding Alice. Arin was glad she was moving along, but she wanted to be done with it altogether. She needed that new attack, and she felt that this was just a stepping stone on her way to it. There wasn't anything that was going to slow her down.

Rota walked up to the door of the ki training room and stopped dead in his tracks. he could feel the etreme heat from the room before him and tried touching the door. he could barely muster up the gumption to go near it, let alone touch it. do I really want to go in here right now? ******** it. I'm not about to go into an oven today. I'll work on the attack flight style and call it good. on normal circumstances, he would have gone into the room anyways, but this was his...name unnannounced queen. she was obviously doing something important and probably wouldn't want to be bothered. he would wait. and go with his original plan.

Arin opened the door after a long and restless training session. As the door opened, the super-heated air flowed into the open training room, and the temperature of that gargantuan room was raised several degrees, Arin obviously had gained some knowledge or another in her private training, and with this knowledge, she seemed empowered. She seemed prepared to take on all of Nexum. And she just might have to. At least now she did not doubt herself.

Rota had just learned flight A. his secondary goal had been achieved, and just in time too. his anonymous queen had just come out of the ki training room.Yes!this is my chance!bowing briefly to his queen, he silently walked into the ki training room, and shut the door. already sweating from the heat; he removed his shoes, socks, and shirt. he did not want to overheat in here. Rota asked the ship to turn the lights in the room off, so he could concentrate further.
he concentrated his ki into his right hand, as he normally did for his ki blade technique. this time however, he visualized the head of an arrow rather than a dirk.he felt the energy ball up around his hand as he calmed his breathing to match is heart beats.the red, black, and grey veins that pulse in his ki were growing more opaque with every breath as it was attempting to cement this new shape in it's memory. visualizing an enemy in front of him, Rota cocked his right arm past his waist, twisting his body to accomodate the action. he punched forward, but left the outmostside of his hand parallel to the ground. he internally let go of the balled up key around his right hand, and hoped the expected happened.
