I can't find find any reason to suggest that it does, but then again I could be wrong.

Men send out their pheromones (hormones to make us interested/aroused/etc) just like we send out pheromones (same reason). Everyone is subjected in their own way (not everyone will make everyone horny/interested).

The only way that I see your period changing is if your periods are irregular, your pregnant, or your living in a group of women (its been studied and proven that if you live with a group of women (3- all women groups) that your period will change due to hormones.

I think it's quite possible that my period is irregular. I heard that a woman's period will be irregular until she's twenty-five years old. So perhaps I don't have anything to worry about.
I highly doubt that I'm pregnant since this has been going on for months and I haven't been experiencing any other pregnancy symptoms. Not to mention I've taken a few pregnancy tests in the past and they all came up negative.
And the only other woman I live with is my mother. So I don't think that could be the reason. So I'm thinking it could just be an irregularity.
Thanks for your help.

You can also try using the pill, if this irregularity interferes too much with your life. Not only it provides BC protection, but it also helps regulate periods, and make them less heavy.

I've thought about going on the pill for that very reason. I like the benefits of the pill but it's the side effects that keep me from going through with it. I don't know how my body will react to it, that's what worries me. Plus my friend told me that you have to go to the gynecologist first and she told me that it wasn't a pleasant experience. Then my mom told me that I'd have to go to the gynecologist and get a mammogram every six months. And I heard that mammograms aren't too pleasant either. It's something that I have to think very carefully about.

There are tons of pills, and you don't have to go to the same doctor your friend goes. Is all different to everyone. A mammography? they're are usually done every year, not every six months. Maybe she's mistaking the pap with the mammography; they're two different things.
This is your health. If you really think these irregular periods are a burden, go and see a doctor. You friend might had a bad experience, but you can go to a different one and don't feel like your friend did. Another thing; everyone reacts differently to BC pills, and it'll take about two months for your body to get used to them, since there are so many of them.

My friend told me that the doctor stuck some kind of tool up into her v****a and scraped a sample of skin off of her uterine wall. She said it hurt so bad that she was in tears. I figured that all gynecologists do that if you plan on taking the pill. Do you know if that's true?
I know that everyone reacts differently to the pill. Which is to be expected with any kind of pill, I think. I'm just concerned with all of the many different side effects. I don't know what side effects I'll experience or the severity of the side effects.
I'm not really that concerned about my periods anymore. But I'll try talking to my mom about going on birth control. I think having something to help regulate my periods would really be conveniant, since I'm tired of guessing when it's going to come. We'll talk about the benefits and our concerns and come up with a final answer.

Your friend is being a little dramatic. It doesn't hurt soooo bad that it reduces you to tears or that shes a p***y when it comes to dealing with slight discomfort. The doctor doesn't scrap skin off your uterine wall, he takes a small brush and rubs it on the side of the wall to get a cell sample. It feels unusual the best way to describe it. Painful? No. Awkward? Yes. Plus its over in seconds. Your friend is just making a big deal.

As for the pills, I;ve been on serveral different kinds. Seeing how everyone's body is different, your body will react differently to different brands of BC pills. I was taking this one kind of BC that took care of my period but for what ever reason it messed with my hormones and made me over the top emotional. Sometimes you have to try different kinds of BC to find the one that works best with your body.

I see. Thanks for clearing that up. My friend might have mistook what the doctor was doing or maybe they explained it in a way that she didn't understand. I think she has a low tolerance when it comes to discomfort. She also might have felt uncomfortable because her doctor was a guy. That might have made her cry and she was just coming up with some other excuse when she told me and my friends of her experience.

Yeah, I think that's a good idea. It's best to just try out different birth control pills and just see which works best for me. I think it's a good idea to do this with other medicines too. I remember when I was taking antidepressants I was switching from medication to medication to find witch one that worked right for me.

thanks for the advice

I also have another question, and its really embarrassing.

My boyfriend is horny, all the time. Especially when he wakes up. But im rarely ever horny on my own. Is there a way to change that? I want to be able to please him more, but when we do have sex my body cant really go for a long time. I get sore and my stomach gets upset if i go for to long. Help?

I have a question.

I am in vent and we got to talking and going on debate. Some of us are Christians and some of us aren't making our views on things slightly different.

One of the older guys (age 22 with a girlfriend.. he wants to marry her) have been doing things together. But both him and I are the only two in the whole group who I think even wants to wait to have sex until after we are married.
(Purity.)

Which brought us to this.
(highlight white text below)

Is masturbation considered having sex?
Is a girl doing things with a guy, or vise versa; considered having sex.
(hand jobs, blow jobs, fingering, etc.) is it considered having sex?

It got me to thinking, and I'd kinda like to know..

Guys have a higher sex drive every morning. Is ok for him to get all horny during the morning.

Hmm what positions do you usually do? I need to know...

Are there symptoms to ovulating? Can you feel it when it happens like when you're on your period?

Its not considered sex, thats foreplay. Sex happens when the guys p***s enters her v****a. Thats intercourse.

User ImageUser ImageUser Image

"There are many myths about ovulation. The main one is that ovulation always occurs on day 14 of your cycle. The truth is many women will ovulate sooner or later than day 14, and some may actually ovulate on day 14 - but this is not carved in stone. It is perfectly normal for a woman to ovulate as early as day 8 or as late as day 28 or later. And another myth - just because you have “menstrual” bleeding every 28 to 30 days doesn’t necessarily mean that ovulation has occurred. Sometimes the bleeding is simply breakthrough bleeding, caused by hormones. There are ways you can tell, usually within a month or two if you are ovulating or not."

Here's where I found this: How do I know when I'm ovulating?

Sorry I haven't been here much, but I've been busy and sick.

I see. I'm asking because a few days after my period I was still experiencing abdominal cramps that felt exactly like the cramps I get on my period. I was wondering if that could be a sign that I'm ovulating.

No, but I need to know in what positions you do it to see what you can do to ease that stomachache you get, since I've also had a similar pain sometimes.

About getting in the mood.

There are things you can also do to get hornier, or at least more wet.
If your guy likes to do it so much in the morning, and you feel whatever, use an artificial lubricant (try KY Liquid, the one with the blue lid; about $9 at drug stores), and let him take the lead. A good thing about doing it in the morning is that your mind tends to be in blank, and you'll ended up enjoying more the sex.
If you're doing it at any other time of the day, foreplay will help. I know it can be "boring" for guys (they get hard so fast!), but it'll help you get in the mood.

Are you taking the pill? Loss of sex drive is very common among women using the pill.
