So this is what happens:
Course, Buccaneer wants to help them find the missing cats. But Theresa doesn't quite trust him, seeing as he appears to be just another lazy rogue that's in because he's bored. She's forced to accept him into the group though, as he might provide more useful info and it's handy to have another cat that knows the place. MoonKnight doesn't want to get involved and doesn't join.
Next day, the patrol was doing fine until Theresa gets a bad feeling about a certian alleyway. Buccaneer thinks it's fine though, and it does appear to be safe. She takes a detour anyway, bringing along cats that might think of the alley as dangerous, while Buccaneer leads the other cats through.
Suddenly, the alley patrol is attacked by a
black tom! He's easily defeated though, as he's outnumbered by a lot. He still doesn't like them though, claiming that anyone with the scent of the earth speaker is an enemy of his. Some cats are confused by what he's talking about, before they notice another shadow nearby...
someone that might be more frightening than the rogue.
Flustered, he tells everyone that his name is Cobra, and the cat with the snake is Viper, his mate. They used to be in this 'black magic' cult, and did things that horrified Theresa when she stumbled across them. As Viper was the leader's daughter, she was 'cursed' to forever remain out of touch of the world, meaning she isn't exactly sane. Her pet snake, whom she calls Snakey, is just a pet and doesn't really do anything other than eat and sleep.
Since then, Cobra and Viper left the cult and tried to survive on their own, this alley being their home. They had a son, Adder, who recently disappeared. Cobra would go look for him, but he's afraid of leaving Viper alone by herself and doesn't want her to come along either. The patrol, of course, figured out that their son was captured by the Two-legs and will help him return home. They don't have any info on the two-legs, other than the fact that they're nearby.
This whole thing confuses the other cats that weren't with them once they meet up again, and Theresa was a bit peeved that they had to meet up with her 'nemesis'.
On that night, they reach the two-leg place where the captured cats were held, though they don't see a way in other than the courtyard. And that's surrounded by a fence. Fortunately, there's a weak spot in the fence, like someone had torn a hole in it and it was mended up badly. Using the cover of darkness, all the cats tore at the metal and dug underneath it so that there's an opening in the fence that anyone can escape through. Now they had to wait until the captured cats are released...
They were lucky. That morning, all the clan cats plus the ones that were captured from the families they encountered, were released into the courtyard for exercise. When the two-leg wasn't keeping a close eye on them, they snuck all of them out through the whole and ran as fast as they could back home.
So what happened to the cats? They first returned
Adder to Cobra and Viper, who were happy to see him alive and well. Cobra is convinced that the life of a rogue is too dangerous for all of them, and want to join Thunderclan.
Gloria reunites with Hannah, and though the experience of getting captured was terrifying, she gained new respect for the clan cats that saved them and wants to join Riverclan. Hannah is appalled by her decision but since she's her sister, she reluctantly agrees that she should come along with her.
Buccaneer thinks that since he's getting old and since MoonKnight doesn't want to put up with him anymore (he's just joking about the second part), he wants to join Shadowclan. He said that he helped get their clanmates back, so he already proved himself to be a valuable warrior if he gets accepted.
And... It was a shock to everyone but Theresa had a daughter captured by the two-legs. A spunky silver tabby named
Sophia. She, like Gloria, thinks that clan cats are the coolest and really wants to join Windclan. Theresa wants to stay with her daughter, and thinks it might be interesting to learn the ways of the clans. Especially about Starclan.
Whether these cats actually join the clan is up to the leaders (I really want them to join so there aren't 8 rogues/kittypets running around) but first their new owners have to be decided. So congrats to the following people:
