Kidd was finally starting to relaxe in her new... no she couldn't evan think it. it was too much of a jinx to call it her home already. when suddenly the lights and the tv went off. it was totaly dark. she stode up looking around wildly. her night viuion sucked but she could still she from some light in the window.
"okay now the door was over there." she starred walking over to the direction of the door when she heard a lown crash and banging coming from the halls.
" just a power outage, people are stumbling around ya... that must be it." she tryed to retionalize the situation to calm her self down. but it wasn't working. ice was beginingto form around her feet.
" i'm calm. there is nothingto worry about" so tryed to take deep breaths but it was no help the noises countued from down stairs. the tempriter in the room was goig down but Kidd couldn't feel this sign that her powers were in jeporty of going hey hire. her body had become numb to the cold long ago.
" i'm calm... i'm calm" she begain to repeat to her self but it wasn't working. the ice fro m her feet was spreading all over the floor and walls. suddenly the gint from the ice cot her eye in the dark
" kidd to no. i just got here!" she started to pace back and forth trying to calm down. there was silen now. she begain to breath easyer.
" calm cool colected-" just then that was another loud bang. her heart starting ponding, this time she could feel the power rising. she looked around, the window. she ran to it. and fidled with the lock
" calm calm!!!" she finally got it open and flung to window wide open, and let it go. she out streached her arms and ice and snow sreemed from her. it only lasted a moment or two but the wind blew snow all areound the grounds. she sied and leand on the sill, iered.
" i hope this school, doesn't threw me out." she sat there watching her snow and ice swerl . with the window open she felt camler. better.

It has been a while since they last came but they were used to break into the institute now. Specially Freya. But with Wanda around, things were going to be even easier.

Carefully but swiftly, the two of them surfed through the secured area. Wanda started to think they should start looking for a job in the Avengers or something close to that but Freya already said she had enough of the "family gang" or working for the army. And since they were both on the black lists of both countries, she somehow doubt they would welcome them with opened arms.

Actually, WHERE were they welcome? Nowhere it seemed. Humans and mutants didn't want them around or so Wanda felt. Xavier never agreed on Freya's actions and Wanda remembered too well he never really helped her the way she needed it. Her father locked her away because she was out of control and humans were chasing them like dogs because they feared them.

That was all she was thinking about when she and Freya sneaked around the mansion and heard a too familiar voice up ahead.

Eyes blazing Cathy waked him in the back of the head, much harder this time. "You a**!" She shouted. "Get lost! She's better off without you...." The sheer nerve of that scum. She was bad but him.

She watched Wanda start in at Peitro. "I have ways of preventing things like that...and I don't use a painkiller...." Seh said still steamed about the abortion comment. "Come on ladies, lets leave that slime in the tender care of his sister...." She lead Sasha and Victoria back towards the building. She stopped hearing Freya's comment. "Stick with me, I'll give you theives sanctuary...."

Jamie nodded when Jacen started talking, and went off to look for Cyclops. He had the bonus of his night vision to help him see, so he left his flashlight with the others. He finally found Cyclops and got him to the generator as fast as he could.

Scott worked quickly and effeciantly, getting the power back in no time. Jamie was only capable of lending an extra hand, but he was useful nevertheless. He then went back to find everyone else.

Sasha, Cathy, and Victoria were sitting in the kitchen, eating ice cream. Well, the other two could only watch as Sasha would eat two spoonfuls of ice cream, and then quickly gobble down a pickle. And the occasional swearing inbetween bits. "Foue monty abortien, " she tried to say with a mouth full, "Stuped Besterd!"

Meanwhile Sonya was up were the other x-men were. She didn't like having to watch Penny being in a cage, but she knew it was for the best, for now. She closed her hands together. Though I may not be experienced enough to help you, I know you'll be in the best of care Miss Penny. Please come back safely. We still have to finish our tied battle. And I've gotten much better over the year. I'll pray for you. She then walked away when she heard screaming out the window. She quickly ran down to the kitchen, unaware of the fire trail she left behind her. "YOU'RE PREGANT!!" she yelled, before the water sprayers were triggered on by her flame trail and water rain down all over the mansion. Afterwards, all four went upstairs to Sasha's room.
"I can't believe I'm actually making friends with more x-men," said Sasha.
"Don't worry," Sonya whispered to Cathy, "That's her way of saying welcome."
They all dried off and sat on Sasha's bed. "So, have you thought of what you're gonna name you kid?" asked Victoria.
"Well, Mr. Hank said that soon he'll be able to do an ultrasound to see weither if it's a boy or girl."
"I hope it's a girl, they're soo cute to dress up," said Sonya. She, Cathy, and Victoria talked excitedly about baby showers while Sasha fell asleep. They left the room to let her sleep. Sonya and Cathy went to tell everyone the news, while Victoria saw Pietro, still a little dizzy from Wanda's strangeling. "You should sit down and talk with her," she said to him, "Even if there was an four month abortion, Sasha will not do it. So it you care anything for her or yourchild, you clear things between you. Stress can cause her to loose the baby, and I even think you would have a guilty conscience on that." And she left.

Penance and Jade. That's all there was at the moment in her mind. Neither could control the body because it was sedated pretty heavily. Not that Penance could, she knew her cage wouldn't be opening anytime soon. And not that it was easy for her to escape from, she would have a year ago. She never understood why, though. Why couldn't she break free? Nothing would bend those bars Jade created. She hoped, though, that whoever was coming for her had the strength to do so.

Maybe that's what it was, subconsciously. She wanted to be rescued. She wanted to be the victim for a change.

Jade paced around cursing. She was a greenish ghost of a figure. Jade mostly looked like Penance in even her psychic form, her only form. Penance figured it was because Jade stopped remembering who she really was in the beginning... it was easier to take her hosts mental form.

"I knew you'd eventually get arrogant, Jade. Really, do you think you could storm a house with a hundred mutants in it and do as you please? Even I wouldn't be foolish enough," Penance doubted that for a moment and then agreed with herself. She would have brought backup.

"They still haven't won, yet, Penance. Not one of them has ever been in the mindscape before. It's not like the real world. I still can be beaten."

Jade sounded a bit concerned. That was a tone Penance had never heard before. Maybe there was that nagging feeling that this really is the end for Jade. Penance wouldn't mind being the one who did it. She already knew how she'd rid herself of Jade had she the opportunity.

"I must say, I didn't think you boyfriend would have the guts to knock you out," Jade was actually honest for once in her life. For a moment, Penance almost felt bad for her predicament... she couldn't survive without a host. After about two seconds, that feeling went away. Jade could have found a vegetable and taken them.

"I didn't. He had the choice of knocking me out or killing me. The first choice is obviously the winner. You're just pissed you got careless and I finally got my hands around your neck," Penance looked around the cage, "And since our time is coming to an end here... tell me, Jade, why me? You could have taken Jacen's body over. You knew where he was at. You could have had any of the X-Men."

"I could have, yes. But I like girls better, and you were most suited for the job King Pin wanted me to do. Taking you was easy once you were asleep. Your telepathic blocks don't work so well... and nobody would suspect it. You were apt to leaving things abruptly."

Penance rolled her eyes, "Yea, blame it on me. It's my fault you're a body stealing demon."

Penance was done talking to her. She waited for the rescue squad.

Markus walked into the kitchen to grab his syring from the freezer. He caught the stuff about the baby. "Congradulations Sasha, thats wonderful news." Mental note to self, get her a small gift. "Hey Sonya..." One of the few X-men he got along with. "What are you doing on Friday?" He asked suddenly. At her confused look. "Want to go to dinner?" He wondered where that had come from as he untopped the needle and gave himself the injection. He hated this stuff but it worked far better than what the hospital gave him.
