"So. What are you going to do with that guy's trophy?" Hanabi asked Fatal.

Fatal hefted the trophy, still feeling its weight. "Well," he replied, "I'm certainly not going to let him go. Honestly, it was very good of you to help... save me. Fighting is the last thing I wish to do...." Rising to power is the first.
"However, I won't kill him, either. My name is Z, by the way. What is yours?"

"I'm Hanabi Amaya, nice to meet you," the fourteen-year old girl said, smiling. "So, he just attacked you for no reason?" she asked Z.
(( Technically, turning them into a trophy is killing them. [Since they can only turn to trophies.] They are permanently dead if their trophy breaks, which is hard to do. ))

Fatal frowned as he hesitated. "No," he replied slowly. "It was a good reason, but... he was misinformed. He wouldn't listen to reason. Had the wrong idea. Do you believe anyone who says they're from Heaven?"

Fatal silently, and without any physical sign that he was doing so, sent a summoned message... backwards. Sort of. To Kasai.

"From Heaven?" Hanabi said, cocking her head slightly. "Um... I don't know. That'd be hard to believe." Then she added, "Unless they have wings and look like an angel."

Fatal held up the weightless trophy for emphasis. "Exactly. I think he was insane. So, uh..." Fatal paused for a moment. "Why exactly are you here?"

"Hm? Oh well," Hanabi said, "I heard the fighting from my house, and my brother told me to check it out. So I did."

Fatal's eyes lit as his interest noticeably heightened. "Really? So you live out in the Jonk? That's fascinating... not in that village over yonder, correct?" Fatal asked, gesturing to the village off behind him, a ways.
"I didn't know anyone could survive all alone, out here in the wilderness."

Hanabi nodded, "Yeah I live out here, and not in the village. I live in a small hut back there," she said as she pointed back to her home behind her, which was far, but not too far away. Then she said, "Well, I've been living out here all my life. Not alone at first, but I'm okay with that."

Fatal raised a hand to shade his eyes as he stared at what he had thought to be a dot on the horizon. So it was a home! Very fascinating, Fatal thought. He might have to come and check on that... oh.
Three things were simultaneously catching Fatal's attention. One was a unique power being activated in Baron City. A word-game of sorts... but it was thriving in invoked power.
The next was a strange Gateway in the desert... an inter-dimensional Gateway. In the desert... where Ninian's Library had used to exist. But no longer was it there.
Lastly, Fatal felt something... below him, rather, actually. He could tell that his note had gone down as well.
"Tell me... do you know anything of underground caverns under the Jonk, Hanabi?" Fatal asked. He looked around for any visible openings--and remembered the Assist Spring. Maybe it hadn't been just a closed little cave, after all....

"Hm? Oh yeah, I do!" Hanabi said, smiling. "I've been there a few times before."

Fatal tilted his head somewhat, eyes unfocused, studying his situation. There were plenty of things to do, that was for sure, but he really couldn't attempt to take on the Beast. Not with all of his allies....
Baron or the Coliseum were also apt, succulent choices for his crusade for power. Fighters were always at the Coliseum. Sometimes, good fighters.
Baron was where he had sensed a desirable fighter. A strange, desirable fighting skill.
And then there was the desert. What could possibly be happening out in the desert?
Fatal decided that he would gather information first, before performing any deed.
"...I believe that my friends are somewhere underground," Fatal told Hanabi. "Would you know your way around if, say, you were to guide me down there?"

Hanabi nodded, "Yep." Then she asked, "Is there anywhere specific you want to go underground?"

Fatal closed his eyes for a moment. Thinking, he appeared to be, but really the necromancer was searching, magically.
"Under Teishoku," Fatal mused, after a moment.
