And he wanted to give in himself. To finally seal his lips against hers. To consecrate their feelings for each other. His arms tightened a bit again, drawing her a bit closer to him. He felt her move against his lips, her lips barely touching his, and he let his eyes fall closed, he returned it, just ever so slightly, just enough to put that bit of bait out there for her to move a little deeper into the kiss.

Serenity was gone. She knew it the instant she felt his muscles tensing around her. And she welcomed it.
Her own eyes closed gently and she allowed herself to finally relax and give in to her instincts. Her hands slid along his chest, and then his neck, and then she wrapped one arm around him and pulled his head closer to her to turn their touching of the lips into a real kiss.

Gaunt felt her go for it. And he returned everything. He felt her lips press against his a little more properly, and he, in turn, pressed his lips to hers. The butterflies in his stomach, that fluttered despite his teasing exterior, fluttered a little less, yet a little more. Would she find him a good kisser? Would she want more? Was this something he could count on for at least as long as they were going out? He already admitted that he was a sucker for attention, and he had to admit this had to be one of his most favorite kinds.

Serenity finally understood what it truly meant to melt in someone's arms, and what it meant to have one's heart aflutter ... but she would not ever be able to accurately describe to anyone - herself included - exactly what she felt in that long and yet all too short moment.
When she at last was forced to break the kiss for some air, she pulled her head back only slightly and looked deep into Gaunt's eyes, smiling shyly now. Funny, how she was feeling shy now, but before she had only wanted to tease him and kiss him. Questions were also running through her mind - many of them similar to his own. It had been her first kiss ... had she done all right? She knew she had liked it ... She wanted to say something to him, anything ...
... but the words simply would not come. All she could do was look into those deep eyes of his and get more and more lost in them.

His eyes slowly opened and he smiled warmly as he found her already looking at him. He reaches up from her stomach and again gently rests his hand on her cheek, softly caressing her face. "Mmm.. Serenity.. that was.." He laughs softly as he coudln't find the word, so he goes for something else. "So good that I want some more." He grinned slightly, and quickly stole one quick kiss from her lips.

Serenity put her hand over his as it rested on her cheek, and she blushed and smiled warmly back at Gaunt. She still couldn't think of anything to say. She was ... a mixture of emotions. Happy ... relieved that she had also done well ... and also wanting more. When he kissed her again, it was too quick for her to react, and she laughed softly.
"How much more?" she teased him, her shyness fading away again. She kissed the corner of his mouth. "This much?" she giggled. She kissed him on the side of the nose. "This much?"
And then she leaned forward once more and kissed him fully on the lips, holding it for several seconds, just enough to really taunt him, and then pulled back again.
"Or that much?" she murmured, tracing one fingertip along his upper lip.

He laughs softly as she starts to tease him back. He kissed her back warmly when she finally got around to giving him a solid kiss. "Mmmn. That's good and everything but.." He gently applied pressure to her top shoulder to urge her onto her back. Then he spoke with a bit of a purr in his throat. "I was thinking something more along the lines of this.." He then moved in and deftly locked his lips with hers, giving her a kiss that was deeper and more passionate than the first, and lasted a few more seconds as well. When he pulled back, he had that dangerous smirk on his face as he settled back, his eyes warm and welcoming but also watching her carefully to judge her reaction.

Serenity lay obediently on her back when Gaunt pushed her down, and when he kissed her so passionately she felt every inch of her responding. Oh, he was good ... too good, and as he sat back again she couldn't help but watch him anxiously, her heart pounding in her chest she was so certain that he had to be able to hear it loud and clear.
There was no use arguing anymore. This was one fight that she had clearly lost. And she had never been happier to lose.
"I think I could manage that," she whispered, her voice soft and playful as she smiled playfully at him. She rolled over again, this time pushing him down on the ground, kissing him at the same time, her own passion matching his now, her lips not only locked with his but also working them. She leaned over him, putting one arm on the other side of him so that she wouldn't fall completely on him, broke the kiss for a very quick breath, then smiled and kissed him again just the same.

Gaunt let his eyes slipped closed again when he felt her advance on him. "Mmn. I'm glad you can." He purred as she closed her lips on him. He slowly slid his hand up her sides, then slipped around to her back as he held her as well as he could since she was holding herself up. He returned the passion he felt on her kiss, feeling his own heart start to race. Though with how he was acting, it might be a safe bet to assume that he's had a bit of experience with this before.

The back of Serenity's neck grew hot as she felt Gaunt's hands moving over her sides and back. He was making her feel things she had never felt before ... heightening her senses and then giving her brand new sensations. She lowered herself to her elbow, resting lightly now on Gaunt's chest, and at long last she broke the kiss once more.
"Gaunt," she whispered, her lips still brushing against his as she spoke, brushing his hair back lightly with one hand, "I have to tell you ... I think you may turn out to be rather addicting."
She giggled softly and kissed his nose, then lay her head on his shoulder, her body still draped over his chest.

He chuckles lightly when it was over and he smiles softly at her as she rests against his chest. A hand slipped up her back and into her hair when she settled, and he started to softly scratch her scalp as well as occasionally stroke her hair. "Mmn. Me, addicting? Surely you jest." He laughs quietly, whispering softly. "I think it's you that's addicting." He chuckles and kisses her chin when she goes after his nose, and let himself be something of a pillow for her. It was nice to cuddle like this, too.

Serenity smiled and closed her eyes gently. His fingers were so wonderful ... she found that she was feeling more at peace now than she ever had before. She wasn't tired, but she found that her limbs no longer wanted to move, that she was very comfortable.
"Me?" she murmured back, smiling softly. "Jest? Never ... you're too wonderful to jest about."

He smiles and he shakes his head slowly. "Too wonderful? I think that's just an exaggeration. I'm just an ordinary man, Serenity. Sure, I have my ideals, but all-in-all, I'm just a normal person." He smiles as he closes his eyes slowly, letting himself just bask in the moment. The sun shining warmly down on them. The smell of her, and of the nature around them. The sound of her voice and the singing of birds in the background. The feel of her weight resting on her chest. It was a wonderful, wonderful feeling.

Serenity giggled softly and reached up to grasp his hand in her own. "All right, perhaps not too wonderful ... but wonderful nevertheless. To others, you might seem like an ordinary man ... but to me, you're not."
It was strange to think that all of this, everything that had happened, had resulted from him overhearing Ian ask about ice cream in the street ... chance encounter perhaps, but a very lucky chance then.

Gaunt smiles as he tilts his head when she reaches up to stop his hand. "Mmn. Alright, I'll accept wonderful to you." He laughs gently and keeps smiling warmly down at her. "And you know that you're the same for me. In a matter of a few minutes, you've managed to turn my world upside down."
