Veil chuckled at this, knowing it to be true, her eyes tracing the room out of boredom. “I don’t really know…perhaps whatever you wish to do?” Setting her bottle lightly on the table, the small girl stood and stretched. Her insides still were a bit iffy, but it was nothing she couldn’t take for now. Pacing off, she waved at him over her shoulder. “I’ll check on Bones, be back in a few moments.” Her feet touched the floor lightly as she headed back towards the ballroom the man was recovering in.

Bones stirred, however not before Cooper whimpered loudly in his ear knowing the man was close to waking. He was really groggy and stiff with pain, blood loss, and fatigue as well. Twitching, he decided his body felt like a new leather coat being taken on its first test run. Sitting up was out of the question for his shoulder still felt like hot pokers were stabbing him and trying to get at his heart. Chest rising and falling with little pants, his forehead still burned up with fever to fight infection, a blush line accenting his pale face. Such a crippled state he was in, blinking up at the large dog with a weak transparent gaze. Each breath pulled on the muscles tightened from where they were trying to protect the injury. Shifting slightly to test it, he felt stitches against his skin…and pondered why. He was still alive, so who would have done this?

Reaching lazily to his side, he patted the pocket on his pants filled with a few supplies. Suddenly fueled, he dug into it and yanked out a few random pills towards the bottom. They’d been there a while, but what did he care? Popping them into his mouth he began to chew on the vicodin…contently waiting for it to take effect. Then he might attempt to move.

“I thought you were off those, young man.” Veils voice made the half alert rocket jump. Heart rate increasing, he watched as the woman knelt beside him. Eyeing her in a deliriously amused way, a toothy smirk cracked his face. “I thought you were safe, but apparently, you still need saving my dear.” Veil reached out and flicked him in the forehead in punishment before laying her cool palm against it to check his temperature. It had climbed higher, but he wasn’t down and out yet. Stubborn, a typical man. She knew a tall white haired healer that was the same. He chuckled as her hand pulled away.

“What happened to that guy…you know…where am I and all…?” He questioned, his voice still not at full power. Veil’s eyes smiled at the thought of telling him it all. “You’ll find out sooner or later, but right now I have to tell you to give me the antidote.” Bones face dropped. Crap. He knew she could be trusted for him not to worry. If he wasn’t safe Veil wouldn’t have been playing with him like this. It sucked when people knew all your secrets, like a light coating of Arbok venom on your shortsword blade.

“How do you always know woman?” He grumbled, reaching into his small pocket again and lifting a vial up slightly. Reaching out with slender fingers Veil grasped the bottle. Bones tried to grip it with his much larger hands, but he was too weak to win at this little game. Having obtained the bottle, she held it’s cool glass surface against her cheek. “You still play dirty sometimes, you know?” Bones grinned but said nothing, blinking more and more as time passed. It was too hard to think properly still. “Yeah.” He half giggled.

Looking up to the alert arcanine, Veil nodded to the injured party. “Keep him here, make him sleep. Got that Coop?” He barked a light wispy sound at her before waggling his tail a bit. Nudging Bones’ cheek with a lick, the man had already passed out once more. Gripping the bottle in her hands, she returned to the room. Passing it to Daniel, she pointed down the hall. “He’s going to need that…seeing as he’s not superman or anything.”

Daniel stared at the little bottle. "...............this is anti venom..isn't it..." He seemed to become a shade paler and then a shade redder as he glared down the hall towards where Bones. Growling he went off to the master bedroom, muttering under his breath about no good Rockets. "Already they almost took his life, now again!"

Entering the room, he sighed at the sight of the healer laying on the bed, resting under covers, half curled and shivering as his body temperature spiked. Walking over the teenager put the bottle down on the night table, with an effort, he began to push the almost 200 pound man onto his back. Daniel sighed softly as he stared at the pain filled face for a moment before he open the drawer of the nightstand, taking out a sterile syringe. "Adriel..." He called out, the man was too out of it to hear him, but....

Preparing the shot needed, he pulled the covers back, cleaning the section with rubbing alcohol before he pushed the needle in and injected the anti venom. He finish and left as quickly as he could.

Adriel's face contort to show the added pain, his eyes open slightly, looking at the blurry image that was the room. Glassy purple eyes looked around, seeing the foggy image that was Daniel. He gave a weak sound as he felt the needle pull out. His body was freezing, he was glad when the covers were return to him. He watched as the other left, parting his lips to beg for something, but also a soft freezing breath left him. He heard the door close, it felt like someone had discharge a firearm by his ear.
Closing his eyes, the images from nightmares he had been having came back. He felt his body twitch and move, trying to return to a position in which pain would subside, but he knew it didn't exist at the moment. He breath in, his lungs went up in flames with the freezing air. He heard a loud drum going off in an irrational beat that he was familiar to be his heartbeat. He wished it would stop, its torment was too much. He felt something go down from his cheek and leak onto his lips. It taste like salt and felt like liquid. What it was, he couldn't tell as a nightmare ripped into his mind. He parted his lips again and breath out, between nightmares, he saw the image of his room, empty and strange, and heard his voice, weak like a newborn cub's, beggingly saying 'please' without getting any respond.
He tried to think, but his room....was it his room?....seemed to disappeared and another nightmare came.
---

Daniel just stood outside the room, hearing nothing from where he was. "....." He walked away from the room and sighed.

Veil had been standing looking out the window in the kitchen, and when Daniel entered the room she turned, but had not wiped the look of worry off her face. Blinking rapidly, she tried to look calm but her concern was carried through her voice… “Uhm…he is okay…isn’t he?” Her eyes were filled with heavy guilt, but she was still able to look into Daniel’s eyes, her mind almost begging for the answer. Her long canines bit into her lip out of nervousness and caused her to bleed a bit.

Daniel wanted to glare at her but he couldn't. It wasn't her fault, not really. It was Adriel, for being an idiot and not knowing his limits, for getting cut with a poison blade, for letting burning a candle at both ends every time he recuperated.

Veil’s eyes darted away to the floor as she gripped a hand against her chest. Letting her face contort in heavy thoughts, she sighed it out. “Perhaps we’ll just rest then…and wait for them both.” A snuggly nap together might be hard to settle in to, but waking up from it usually put them all better off in the long run. Really, what else could she say?

".....I am going to go play my guitar, you are welcome to join me." His maroon eyes looked at her. "...Its not your fault you know...he is..stupid." He muttered. "Doesn't know his limits....but he'll be alright..." He turned away and began to walk away. "He always is..."

Veil blinked as she watched him go, grasping a few loose strands of her hair against her fingertips. Letting them slowly file through her fingers, she sighed. Even mountains could be worn down to pebbles slowly through time. “Would you mind if I listened to you play?” Her bright eyes watching Daniel as he retrieved his guitar.

Daniel went to a room that had some instruments hanging from the walls, thought the grand piece was the slick black concert piano. He walked over to a guitar case and retrieve the instrument before taking a seat on one of the two couches. "Of course, go ahead and sit." He gave a small smile as he began tuning the strings.

Veil found herself gaping at the amount of musical instruments that could be owned and collected in one room. Suddenly feeling very ordinary herself, and completely unremarkable, she flopped into the nearest chair. It was a bit plush, so she snuggled into it curling her legs under her. She’d much more have preferred a skirt so that it looked a bit nicer, but it would do. Leaning back, she slid her eyes shut and waited for Daniel to begin to play.

The teenager's fingers brush against the cords, making them give a tinge of sound before he pluck each one. Satisfy with the outcries of each one, he began to play a soft soothing tune, letting his mind shut off slowly by concentrating into the movement of his fingers.

The music sent her into a trance like state of happiness, her mind clearing of the worries of the day. Knowing they'd resurface wasn't the most of her wondering, mainly wanted to know how she could know such talented people. Laying back contently, she felt herself nodding off under the acoustic spell and not minding it one bit.

Daniel continue playing for quiet a while, right up to when his fingers began to become numb. Stopping in the middle of a song, he stretched his fingers from both his hands before rubbing both hands together, perhaps it was time to stop for a while. His eyes looked over to the woman, and smiled gently as he put the guitar down on the case, taking up a blanket, he draped over her.

"...." He walked out of the room as quietly as possible and ponder what to do. After a few minutes, once he checked the time, to look in on the two injure idiots before going off to make something simple for lunch. He decided to check on the rocket first.

Bones’ hadn’t moved an inch since Veil left, the fever taking a toll on his injured form. Pale face accented with a heavy blush line, his slightly parted lips slipped small bursts of air between them in his sleep. Ghastly dark hair flopped against the mattress, his head resting on an arcanine paw for a pillow. Cooper was busy licking the side of his master face, ears pinned back in concern. This guy always took his sweet time healing, and letting out a little doggy –huff- he just watched him for a moment. Then, hearing a sound he perked his ears hearing Daniel coming down the hall. Spotting the young man his tongue rolled out and he panted happily at the sight of him.

Daniel smiled at the dog. "hey there, boy." He walked over and patted the arcanine's head gently before looking down at Bones. He rested a hand on the man's forehead. "Hrrrmph..." He stood back up. "If the fever persist, we might have to put him in an ice bath, what do you-" He stopped himself. "I now understand why Adriel constantly asks pokemon for opinions...." Shaking his head, he smiled at the fire dog. "I'll come back with some lunch for you in a little while, okay?"

Stepping out of the small empty greenhouse, he went down couple of halls, but the moment he heard a muffle scream coming from the master bedroom, he did a full U-turn and went to make lunch. Last time he had attempt waking Adriel from injury-and-exhausting produce nightmares, the healer had almost stabbed him, and then gone into a mental breakdown that was follow by a hummingbird and then a very depressed Adriel who flinched every time anyone spoke above a whisper or try to touch him.

...Yes, he much prefer ignoring the fact the other was having nightmares then seeing Adriel utterly depressed.

Cooper yipped at him with a puppy-like joy, with his tail wagging at the prospect of at least having his share of some food. Ears perking he watched with impatience at the young man walking away and waited. Looking to Bones’ head resting on his paw, he put his nose against his hair and snorted at him. If his master had been better, he could’ve WATCHED Daniel make the food. Oh the joys of food. Another brief tail wag was in order for such happy thoughts.

Veil was jerked awake at the unearthly sounds that reached her sensitive ears. Eyes glancing around at the ready, for a moment she’d forgotten where she was. Noting the blanket about her shoulders she pulled it over herself like a shawl, passing over the thought of how it got there completely. Her mind wanted to know where the sound came from. Slipping fluidly from her chair, she walked lightly on the floor without making any sounds. A bit of predator was in her as well, for the crobats’ DNA liked to stalk for high energy levels from blood, and sometimes it just washed over to her normal mental state.

Blinking oddly, she found herself at a bedroom door. Placing a palm against the wood, she waited to see if anything else sounded from the room. Hearing silence, her tiny hand slipped around the knob and opened it a crack. Eyes adjusting to the darkness instantly, she still couldn’t make out the figure inside. It sounded like a wounded pokemon of some sort. “Hello?” She braved, wondering it anyone else was in this house beside Dr. Hart or Daniel.
