PirateQueenZ Something shifted behind her eyes, something very not human, but only for a moment. "The Shadow Force says that it would be a waste of its time, and that if anything it would force all of you people of significance in this city into a game in it's dimension, just to see if any of you would even come close to winning." Zephyr stated matter-of-factly. "Then the winners would be granted unparalleled prizes and the losers would have their very essence devoured as they morph into something entirely new." She explained. Then she smiled up at the Joker. "You would be made into a chair...with cushions...big fancy cushions, and you would decorate one of the many sitting rooms..." She smiled pleasantly up at him. "Sounds nice." Meander said thoughtfully. "I like chairs..." She stared off into space with an empty, but happy look on her face.

Firecracker zoned out of the conversation, frowning at his own thoughts as the seconds ticked by. He couldn't help but feel as if someone were... watching. A shadow danced a little ways away.
Markuro gulped. "Hey, guys... Enk... Did you see that??" he asked with a face contorted in fear.

Zephyr grinned at him. "Awe, you're not scared of the dark, are you?" She asked with a grin. This had possibilities, if the human was this afraid of just this much, what a perfect candidate for one of the games in the Nowhere Mansion! She smiled brightly at him, the Shadow Force already surveying the possible candidate.
((And I thought Batman had already shown up, and has just been standing there this whole time...does someone need a refresher?))

[[ I missed too much, so Batman's making a bit of a "reappearance", lol. ATTACK STRIKE #2! Lol. ]]
The Batman came out of the darkness once again, falling upon the Pirate Queen with a dark growl. "Who caused this mess!? he roared, referring to the suffering city below.

Zephyr only frowned at Batman's actions. The fun seemed sapped out of the air with the sudden threat, and she did not enjoy Batman's attitude in the slightest towards her. "You're the detective, figure it out." She frowned, crossing her arms as the shadows flickered.

"And which mess are you referring to, anyways?" Joker said. "Here's a mess," he said, gesturing to Riddler's dead body, grin still frozen on. "There's a mess," he continued, now gesturing to the kid who recently got his tiny little head blown from here to Kingdom Come. "Everywhere's a mess-mess!" he said, waving his hands around at the city, gone mad, below. Then the clown sang, "Oh, that Joker had some laughs, E-I-E-I-O!"

Batman looked down at the child lying on the ground. An innocent life taken. It was just another day in the life of a madman. Rage consumed his mind, clouding his judgment.
All of his attention was suddenly lost from Zephyr, and the scenario revolved around the clown, just as Joker always wanted. Once again, he would get his way.
Batman stormed toward him like a giant shadow, enveloping his throat in a rough grip. "I'll round up every last one of you..."
Firecracker peeked up at the sight. He knew that things weren't looking too good for him, so he shot up to his feet, trotting away awkwardly with his still-sore bum. A batarang caught at his feet, and he fell face-down. "Crap..." he breathed into the cement.

Zephyr frowned, crossing her arms at all of this. This wasn't going to be any fun at all. Her guardian bent down and picked her up so she could sit in it's arms, still with her arms crossed and glaring at the two. "Uncle J..." She half growled, "Your. Game. SUCKS!"

"What do you expect!? All his games involve the freakin' kill-joy Batman!" Markuro snarled, attempting to perk his head up from the ground.
Batman glared down Joker, ignoring the banter that ensued behind him.

"Ah, he's just crazy, like us! Otherwise, he wouldn't be running around dressed like a flying rodent! I just want him to be with people like him!" Joker was having the time of his life. He killed two people in the space of 20 minutes, and got the Batman to show up. It was a good night, indeed. "After all, all it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. Batsy, you had a bad day once yourself, didn't you?"

"ZEPHYR'S BORED!" Zephyr yelled out, the shadows seeming to swirl around her for just a moment. "Less talky, more comedic acts! Batman, you'll have to get in on this too, I've got more kids held captive in a hidden place, after all, and I don't think I'll release them unless this night gets to be a bit more fun!' Zephyr demanded, starting to feel her role as a Pirate Queen. "oh! Zephyr says dance! Zephyr wants to see a dance!" She decided with excitement.

Batman growled, throwing the Joker down and turning his attention immediately to Zephyr. "Where are you hiding the kids?" he grunted, grabbing for the collar of her shirt with a face contorted in bitter rage, yet his body was as still as a statue. Batman had enough of this nonsense. There were other things going on in Gotham. It was a mess.
Markuro pulled himself off of the pavement and growled. He whipped out a large firecracker as his eye twitched. It wasn't like the boy hadn't already lost it. "I know a game! It's called EVERYBODY SHUT UP BECAUSE I'M GOING TO KILL THE BATMAN... FOR ONCE!!!" he erupted in frustration. Bruce didn't look amused one bit.

Zephyr's guardian slid out of the roof, since this job was in it's job description. Zephyr looked over at Firecracker with an equally unamused face. "How about you do all of us a favor and kill yourself instead?" She asked, pulling out one of her pistols and shooting him in the side, she then turned back to Batman. "And they're more than safe...for now. how long they stay that way is entirely up to you." She stated calmly. "But this little move of yours is doing no one any good, especially not my guardian..." She tapped his hand with a single finger as her Guardian shifted uncomfortably, waiting for it's first chance to tear off Batman's legs should things progress.

The Joker hit the ground, but only cared for about half a moment. After that, all he cared about were the words that came out of Firecracker's mouth, along the lines of, 'EVERYBODY SHUT UP BECAUSE I'M GOING TO KILL THE BATMAN', which the clown WASN'T going to stand for.Too much time and energy had been put into this for some upstart little kid to take the ultimate prize away from him. Without even thinking, he stood up, then drew out another pistol and drew a bead on Firecracker. "You think you can take MY punchline?! YOU?!?!" Joker's smile was gone. All that was on his face was rage, hate, and murder-lust in their purest forms. If looks could kill, the glare in the clown's eyes alone would've wiped out half the city before Batman could take the five steps neccesary to stop him.

Zephyr couldn't help but laugh at this. "Go ahead and kill him, uncle J, he earned it fair and square!" Zephyr cheered on with a laugh. She didn't like Firecracker one bit, and that he would make that much of a mistake with the Joker of all people, he really was worthless! At least to her. Things were at least looking up that much!
