Lokail nodded as Hikaru jumped in, he was kind of interested to see whether he would come back up again. He shrugged deciding not to worry about it to much and returned over to Mika. He sat down and watched her try, she was quite adamant about learning things at least. He looked at the sky wondering about the current situation that Sunagakure was in, he knew it was stupid to discuss with his students, yet still he was morbidly curious at how she would die.

Mika, when presented with death, how will you face it? When you meet someone obviously too powerful, what will you do?

((DAMN YOU HIKARU!!! You saw through my plan of SCROPION PIRANHA'S!!!!))

Hikaru swam towards the bottom of the lake, everything seemed normal at first. However out of the corner of his eye it seemed like something was moving... Something sinister... He moved down until the coin was in sight. Everything seemed normal until he reached for it, suddenly everything was overcome with a light! The floaty feel of being in the water slowly dissipated and it began to feel as if he was on land. His cloths and hair began to dry and the light started to fade.

Hey! Snap out of it! Are you ready? A boy was standing in front of him, he had blue eyes and a dark purple hair tint. He seemed around the age of thirteen and had an eager look on his face. I'm so excited! They're going to be here any minute! Are you ready?

(( FZCK DICE! D< ))

As Mika failed her attempt to chopped at the tree with her chakra, she heard her sensei ask his morbid question. Why would he be subtle. Mika closed her eyes and once again tried to draw from the chakra pool. She imagined it flowing as she answered. "I believe that it is not over until it's over. Until one shinobi is bleeding out on the floor, the end is not near. So, I would try my best to defeat the enemy until there was no way out. I think that this should be every ninja's point of view." With her answer out, Mika resumed her concentration. But she then noticed, there was nothing. No chakra was flowing through her. The girl closed her eyes and hung her head low. Why must this be so difficult for me? She then turned her head to Lokail sensei for his response.

(( Night night time. But hopefully I can get this one! D< ))

Lokail gave no response, he was clearly pondering upon her answer. Hopefully, this was an acceptable answer to Lokail.. Mika pivoted from her stance, back towards the tree. She would resume as he thought. Mika began to synchronize her breathing with time. She welled her strength within her torso. As it came together the focused. With her mind focused, she pushed the chakra from her trunk, through her arm and towards her hand. As all of the chakra focused in her hand, she swung her hand as she was going to throw a weapon. Straight forward, and it made another scar on the tree. "Yes..", Mika said under her breath.

Hikaru suddenly found himself back on land and very confused. many things were running through his head such as where he was and why he was there. and also who this person was that was talking to him. "Who is coming, and who are you?" Hikaru asked as he thought he might have passed out under the water. Hikaru looked at the boy who seemed to be about two years older than him. he waited for a response and knew it was going to be an awkward one. Hikaru started to wonder why he had gone from a dark pool of water to the soft sand and why he had no idea where or when he was.

The boy looked at him with a perplexed look. Hikaru's observation was completely accurate, this did create an awkward feeling. The boy then suddenly laughed taking it as a joke. It was obvious that the boy felt very friendly and conferable with him

Is that anyway to treat your best friend? What do you mean who am I!? I'm the one who has been working with you to get this far! And the Emerald Mercenaries, you idiot! They're coming! This is finally are chance to prove our worth! Think of it, the life of adventure! This is what we've always wanted, Hikaru! They'll be coming to see if anyone here is good enough to be part of their troupe! We CAN'T mess this up! The boy had a gleaming look in his eye, it was obvious that this boy was very adamant on whatever was happening, and that he almost expected Hikaru to be as well.

Hikaru was still very puzzled as he looked at the kid. "Well I don't know whats going on but if I get to knock some heads together then I guess I'm fine with it." Hikaru said as he was still very confused. "Anyway who are these Mercenaries?" Hikaru said as a few thoughts started to run through his head. Who the hell is this kid. Hes lucky he didn't surprise me or I would have probably killed him. Hikaru thought as he scratched his head in puzzlement. he began to stretch out to get ready for a fight with a bunch of people he didn't know.

The kid kept a cheery smile on his face, without wavering in the least. He obviously wasn't picking up any of Hikaru's negativity, he simply didn't expect it coming from his long time friend. He looked in awe when he asked who the mercenaries were, dumbfounded that it was being asked. Yet still he went into his explanation!

The emerald mercenaries! They're ninja not bound by any village, they're swords for hire! They're an elite group, only the best may join! The leader, Rasp, people have said great things about him... They say that he could level cities if he wished! It isn't easy to get into this group, but it is completely worth it! So that's why we can't screw this up, got it?

Hikaru was a little irritated at the whole situation but then he started to think about how he got himself into this situation. Man I pretty much walked into this one. Lokail is gonna get an earful when I get out of this. then another thought came to Hikaru. Wait what if I can't get back. or what if this is a genjutsu. Hmmm. well I guess all I can do is go along with this for now. Hikaru want's sure what was going on but he figured that if Lokail sent him here then it was for a reason. Wait. Maybe Lokail is showing me his past through his eyes. but wait if that's true then why is this kid calling me Hikaru and not Lokail. Hikaru was now a little angry and even more confused. for every answer he received two more questions popped up. He then figured the reason for being where he was would soon present itself. He decided to wait and see what happens. "OK. I'm sure were strong enough to get into the emerald mercenaries." Hikaru said half-heartedly as he was still feeling out the situation.

The boy smiled at Hikaru and grabbed him by the wrist. Come on, let's go! He dragged him through the lush forest until they got to a camp. As the boy grinned happily everything grayed and turned static like. White noise surrounded Hikaru. He opened his eyes to briefly find himself underwater, watching the sun shine through, however only for a moment. He was quickly overcome again and he found himself standing in the middle of a dirt fighting ring. A muscular teen stood across from him laughing. The teens shirt was off and he held a katana in his hand.

"Come on you little punk, let's see just what you're made of!"

Come on Hikaru, don't ******** this up!

Hikaru was caught off guard by this but it was a good chance for him to test his skills. Lets see if I'm still proficient with the katana. Hikaru thought to himself as he drew the blade from its sheath. "Bring it on." Hikaru said as he got into a defensive position. "I'll let you go first." Hikaru said with confidence in his voice. Hikaru began to move left to right with the blade outstretched in front of him. the more he moved the more the form began to come back. This is it. the feeling right before a battle. Hikaru thought as he gripped the hilt of his blade. Hikaru now was completely focused on the the battle. he couldn't see or hear anything outside of the makeshift battle ring. Hikaru was beginning to feel something he hadn't felt in a while and that was the desire to tear his opponent apart.

Lokail shrugged in an apathetic manner at the girls answer. He had heard worst. Usually those whose dreams he knew he tended to kill, however it was still the first week here... Though speaking of dead students... He wondered how Hikaru and Rush were doing. Meh, didn't matter. He looked at Mika and began to wonder. He wasn't sure if she had it in her to kill people, he really wanted to test that.

And when there is no way out? Do you run and survive or die like a fighter? What about if you have the option to kill? Do you end their life? How about there families life, or their four year old son who is watching from the next room? I will be teaching you a few of the most deadly abilities there is, i have no doubt in your ability to manifest them, but when the time comes do you really think you will be able to use them for what they're made for?

As she turned, Mika listened to what her sensei was asking of her. What he said was true, that was the way of the ninja. They are hired to be death's hand. Mika looked down at her feet. She knew of her answer, though she did not think Lokail would approve. Should I be attacked, I would rather die trying than run like a coward. It would be difficult, but it is what's necessary. And should I be able to kill my attacker, I would. Mika looked back up with a hair toss. Though would I be able to kill a small child after I had shattered his world. That, would be heartless. I may be a shinobi, capable of dangerous and deadly things. But I am not heartless. Sometimes, there is another way. Mika looked up at Lokail, she knew this was not the answer he was looking for. But hopefully, he would know of her preferred methods by now.

(( XXX ))

While waiting for Lokail sensei's idea's, Mika decided to train. Turning back towards the tree, she flexed all of the muscles in her body. Trying to draw the chakra from within them. She wasn't rail thin, so there must be some in there. Contracting her muscles was a pain, as if squeezing a dry sponge. She felt no surge of power come from her diafram. I really don't understand why this is so difficult to focus chakra.. Mika needed to work, and work hard. This was not how she was going to gain Lokail's respect as a shinobi. Maybe, I'm just not aware of it! The girl thought with a smile across her face. Mika then thrusted her arm in the direction of the tree. But, there was not another mark made on the tree.

Lokail shrugged at her ideals, it was true that this wasn't an answer he would have given. However, he really didn't have expectations for any of his students. At least with that mindset he escaped unnecessary disappointment which he had a feeling all his students would bring. He looked through bored eyes at her training, thinking of whether he felt like continuing on with the conversation or doing something more worth his time... Like paperwork... ******** that...

Ah, i've always been one to respect the ones who fight. However, who is the real winner? The idiot who got his head cut off fighting with his pride, or the coward who ran away and stabbed that enemy in the back later? There are many roads to power, revenge is one of the quickest. If you do shatter his world, than you might as well do the b*****d a favor and kill him then. Let's face it, otherwise he'll probably dedicate his life to your slaughter after all. And who are we to make him have to live such an empty life?

(( Sorry Zinny, Its getting kinda late and I have school tomorrow. I'll answer and finish training ASAP ))

Mika once again began to draw from the well of charka from within her diaphragm. As it came together she heard Lokail sensei speak. She listened but still concentrated very hard on her chakra training. This time, Mika was going to try and hone as much chakra as she could. As Lokail finished speaking, the small girl replied. "I may not be very powerful, but I know this. There are many different routes to strength. The quickest may be revenge, but that is not the best in my opinion. When your whole life is concentrated on the death of one single person, you're not living." Mika then flipped her hair from her face as she glanced at Lokail sensei. "You're simply obsessing. Dreaming and wishing for death is no way to live. And lets say you're able to kill this person. What after? In your pain and obsession, you've lost yourself. No longer are you the person you had been. Just a shell" Mika shook her head as she spoke. She then looked back at the tree as she forced the chakra from her core up her arm. "That is why I could not be a ruthless killer. I will stay myself." As Mika finished, she swung her arm at the trunk of the tree, leaving another mark on the tree.
