Suuru's mind was a complicated thing... trechery was pretty far from his thoughts as was any thoughts or intentions of causing trouble as one might say. What rode mainly on his mind was concern- for his master and for the pup Gizmo that had treated them kindly. He didn't seem angry nor afraid at the presence of his mind- quite the contrary. He'd seen blood and wolfs causing it- he feared very little as any sensable crow would. His main concern was to help the masked one build a pack to protect the paradise that they had found so that the crow would continue to be fed as they were from the male's kills, and to find respect among the wolfs. An allyance really. His kind was subjected to the humility as serving only as nature's garbage disposal and morning call. They could benefit one another. The crow knew far more than he let on as well- a deep understanding with his master that needed no verbal communication. His master was hurting, shattered, and scared. He knew this though no others did... to them he was a murderious wild mangy beast driven mad... to the crows he was as troubled as they- confused by pain on the inside that was new to him, an illness driving his mind into a state that was contrary to the normal calm and level-headed nature of the wolf, and sorrow that brought out anger as he knew no other way to deal with it. All this was told to the she-wolf in the moment she invaded his mind. They wanted to help the pup, Gizmo... that same sorrow and confusion lingered within him and his heart was a good one, but the good was easily turned sour by tragity or confusion.

He smiled- almost laughing at her attempt to frigten him though his bretheren had taken wing and were returning to his master. Disturb? He had no such thought....perhaps in the start, yes.... He turned his head to where Gizmo and Lexi were crossing, Silver teeth of iron beneith the leaves- the pale ones seek the fur of your kind as tribute to their alphas... The crow winged from his hiding spot and flew over the river, turning sharply and flying along the bank, Follow along water's edge.

It was more or less a gesture of good will to the pack- his intentions were only following the deeper intentions of his master- the intentions that sorrow and confusion had swallowed up and locked away. To the other "non-speakers" he cawed- loud and demanding but kept well out of the ground's reach knowing the mad scarred female would snap at him any chance that she got.

Lera could hear the crows thoughts as she crossed the river, her grip on Kamali's nape tightening ever so slightly. You think I know not of the two legged that wander this area? Their thoughts fill my mind, and your presence disturbs my heart. Their traps will not gnaw at our feet for their smile of knives wreeks with their pungant stench and hunger does no call us to their traps, she said. Animals, such as foxes or even wolves, would be lured to the traps that were laid out with meat, in hopes to coax a starving animal. Yet sometimes, as the crow did mention, that traps would be hidden under the leaves. Please leave and go back to your master, he will feel you with the bones of the prey he does catch. We do not plan to go near the furless.

Suuru backwinged onto a high branch and turned his head- his golden eyes narrowing ever so slightly, The traps... they are here.... in this wood very close to the river. Not along the bank- the sand is not for the iron teeth. The hunters know of your pack, and my master knows of the hunters. He smirked a bit, hoping the wolfess would catch the implication, Though they hate him- he will defend those he call children.

The crow ducked into his wings for a moment then launched back into the air, flying over the sands of the beach back and forth- his shadow crawling along the sands and snow of the bank much to the contrast of the white. He cawed still, keeping high out of reach but knowing full well that he was getting the attention and perhaps tension from the wolves he was trying to aid. The other crows had retrieved Feanaro early into the night with warnings of the two-legs. They had pulled a round hard object from a fur of the two-legs (which they oddly removed at night) and presented it as proof. It was all the understanding the masked male needed to know that his pups were in danger. They were leading him there. Suuru knew this- not by way of any supernatural way but he was no dumb bird... his master and he were nearly one in the same as far as thoughts.

She instinctively snarled while carrying the poor green pup in her mouth. The wolves around her would have seen no reason for her to act as she did yet she was unaware.

That wicked beast has no place here! she said, her voice raising in the crow's mind, He is the snake beneath the flower, just as the traps beneath the leaves. I shall not see his face once again, for it will be ripped off by the time I turn.

Lera finally reached the snowwy shore and quickly dropped Kamali on the bank. Leradien stepped forwatrd, her hackles raised and golden sights glaring at the black figured that circled above her. She snarled at the figure, the humans themselves had left the area, abandonning their remaining traps and moving to different areas. Yet their smell lingered in the air and in some places more heavily than others.

He wishes his presence not to be known...., The crow seemed to be scolding her in his tone, Gratitude for aid seems to be in low supply here..... Suuru turned once more and flew higher into the trees- once again vanishing beneith the cover of the needles and evergreen. He'd follow the pack still- making quick checks on his master and the others as wished of him. The other crows began cawing from a distance- most of them returning to Suuru's location and winging expertly through the spined branches above the fleeing wolves.

Lexi pulled herself from the water and placed Gizmo protectively at her feet before shaking off, spraying water from her fur before she turns to the alpha female.
"Whats wrong Lera?" She asks, glancing back over her shoulder unwillingly to look at the crows. "Unatural things..." She growls. "Are they Feanaro's demons? I can't beleive he'd still be following us while his mate fends for herself as though she had no pack at all. He vomits his talk of compassion all over us but has none for his own MATE." After the repeated insidents she can't think that it would be anyone BUT Feanaro. There's something terribly wrong with that wolf....he doesn't even seem to act like a wolf anymore.

Lera growled, That vile creature has done nothing to aid my pack! He has threatened us, fought us, plotted against us. I wish not for him to follow us! Why doesn't that pathetic creature just crawl back in defeat before more blood is spilt! Her temper had risen and she vocally growed while staring at the forest. Yet she could both hear and feel the winged avian fly back with his brethren into the woods. She was relieved at their retreat and her face calmed. She had gotten pretty rattled up and she felt as if she could hunt that mask wolf down and tear at his flesh right at that moment. But her legs, ears, and body shook with a mixture of emotions and her thoughts ended back up at the small creatures growing inside of her. Her chest heaved in frustration as she looked to the river, waiting for the others to cross. Yet in all of her anger she found Lexi standing right besides her. Lera had not heard the young female talk, as she was utterly concentrated on talking to the crow. "Er..." she began, a rather startled look on her face. Rather amazed that she had completely blocked out her surroundings.

"IF it is him..." Lexi's hackles rise as she contiinues to stand her guard over Gizmo. "If it his him...I'll protect you. He'll never lay tooth or claw on your pups. I'll never allow it. Even if it's not him I *still* won't. I swear." She tries to reasure both the alpha female and herself with her words. "We can make this place safe..."

Lera looked to Lexi a sad expression on her own face, as if she'd been hurt. The young female was saying that she'd protect her when she herself was alpha? But that wasn't what saddened her. The tiniest thought of her young children came to her mind and she began to fear for them. lera sat down, her tail wrapping around her paws. lera had always been good at comforting others, but not good at comforting herself. She secretly longed for Haku to quickly cross the river and return back to her side.

She found herself with a lack for words at Lexi's response.

Lexi's ears drooped slightly as she watches the older wolf, not sure how she's failed in her encouragement. "Haku asked us to protect the pups. We will. I promise." She glances back over the river to Haku and the crows. "The two of you spoke for me when the wolf who helped raise me would not...I could never give you less than my all." She takes a cautious step forward, lowering her head slightly in defrence to the older she wolfs rank and nudging at her with her nose. "Please forgive me when I speak too bold. I'm a pup barking at shadows to feel brave..."

Lera stood looking at the young wolf, thankful for her encouragement. She was also surprised that she enjoyed being shown that she was the dominant wolf, it was instinct, just as it had been at the kill with Carmen.

"I thank you, Lexi. You are strong and I hold faith in you," she said, bending down the lick the top of Lexi's skull; between the ears in acknowladgement.

Kamali had been watching back for Tobias, worried, and hoping he would cross well. He was comforted just by Lera's pressence, and was glad she'd taken him. He wouldn't have minded Tobias.. but she'd taken him first.

At her snarls and growls he squeaked and tried to look up at the alpha, but it had been no use. He shifted and whined, then staired down at the water. He did not much fear it, but was curious. He wondered what it'd be like to freeze to death. Disturbing thoughts for one so younge.

As he was dropped on the ground he fell foward, mug hitting the snow. Kamali frowned a bit, then stood, shaking off. He wagged his tail, he was oblivious to the crows, and generally was ignoring them. He turned around to stair at the water, waiting for his brother.

I wonder if he will journy with me.... His head tilted at the thought. When had he decided that he would take a journy? He shifted on paw, but he knew the thought to be true. He would be journying from the pack land, one day when he was older.

Perhaps after Lera has her pups. Maybe I will be old, and strong enough then.. He glanced toward Lexi, Gizmo and Lera, frowning a bit. It was not that he wanted to leave the pack, he just wanted to see other lands.

He curiously pondered if wolves were allowed to stay in packs and journy.. He smirked at the thought, and shook it from his mind. It would be answered when the time came. He wanted to see more of the lands, and perhaps see Noke again. He already missed her. She would have been a good friend, he decided.

Barely aware of being carried, Gizmo let his eyes trail the icy water rushing past his suspended body. This water was no good for seeing a reflection, its surface constantly moving and stirring so that his pale form was nothing more than a blur.

He closed his eyes briefly, listening to the terrified shrieks of the winged flitters as they took to the sky in a black cloud and flew away. What had scared them so?

Suddenly his paws met with the cold ground and he sat down, curling his tail about him and glancing back over the river. A few members of the pack were still crossing it, and Gizmo suddenly realised that he could never go back, or atleast not until he had grown strong enough to battle the currents alone.

The river stood as a barrier between him and the past, cold and icy, unforgiving in its motion. This was it, this was the place where they would start anew, and where he could nurse his injured heart.

He paid no heed to the older females, not caring what they had to say, and instead lowered his forepaws until he was lying on the ground, resting head upon his white paws.

Kamali's gaze flickered over to gizmo, and he frowned, letting out a sigh. He wondered why was was acting so funny.. His tail slipped between his legs as he stood, tottering over to the other pup, hopinh he would not mind his company, and his warmth.

Kamali was cold himself, so he sat next to gizmo, but did not press against him or anything. He was not sure how he could help the pup, or even if he could.. but it was worth it to try, wasn't it?

His tail flicked away from him and he staired ahead, not looking at Gizmo just yet. If giz was to move, he realized, he'd have to just leave the other pup alone.

Gizmo who had been lost in thoughts, snapped his head up as Kamali came to lie beside him. At last, a wolf who would understand how he felt! Kam-Kam had been friends with Sable and so must be feeling the same as him.

Forgetting his minty friend's shyness, Gizmo turned his head and nuzzled his face into the pup's fur. Muffling a small whimper which escaped from his throat.

No one else seemed to understand him and how he felt, Gaara did not seem to show any sort of sadness in his emotion. Lexi seemed oblivious to the act, and that mirrored the ways of the other wolves. It seemed that to them, a brutal death of a harmles pup was completely normal. Was he just being too sensitive? Perhaps he was the one who was in the wrong.

He felt lost...
