Amelia cast her gaze over to the tall Ashnard, her eyes landing on the gap between his muttonchop sideburns before going up to the rest of his face. "Nils, Fire Dragon, and I are standing guard while everyone else packs up the contents of the tent... uh, in the tent," she explained. "And Soren is too tired and Fire Dragon's going to keep watch over him 'till he's recovered." Amelia jerked a thumb over at the mage said dragon was holding to illustrate her point. "You'll need to help Siggy, Renault, and Bartre pack things up."

"Fine.." the ebon-haired king said with a grin. "I got this." He then lifted two crates of food into his arms. "How are we going to get all this back?" he pondered.

"Either by carrying it ourselves, or we are going to have Siegell's wyvern carry it. Now continue packing." Bartre went on packing some food. Should have brought a bow with me. Then, I could've killed off more of these creatures more easily

"Shastah will carry it," she told Ashnard matter-of-factly. "Siggy's going to ride back on Shastah as well, make sure that nothing falls and nothing tries to tear into the food." Amelia cast her gaze back at the city, watching for suspicious activity.

Mysterious Shadowy Figure

DONG... DONG... DONG... DONG...
There was a crash, followed by the ringing of an enormous bell as a horrifying beast stepped and crushed a house on its way toward the sounds of battle over Merlinus' tent. It was massive, and appeared to be made of dead Revenants-- hundreds of them, merged together and wrapped around a clock tower. It was supported on legs like mighty redwood trunks, with arms like bundles of battering rams glued to joints, all with claws and blades sticking off at seemingly random angles and locations, and flesh armored with enormous chunks of stone. Teeth seemed to be placed throughout the body with little regard to whether or not they were near the mouth, though the mouth itself was horrifying enough.
Like a giant black hole below a pair of burning, squishy yellow things it presumably used as eyes, the mouth was lined with more teeth than honestly made sense, of various shapes and sizes, all of which looked like they were designed for tearing people in half. Strangest of all was that it seemed to be structured around a bell tower, the top of which, with the bell intact, stuck out of the top of the monster's head, which was meshed with the body without a neck. Every time it moved, the bell rang deafeningly.
It roared, scattering bits of Mauthe Doog over the snow, and began to lumber toward those around the tent with a good meal in mind.
DONG... DONG... DONG... DONG, DONG, DONG, DONG!

Amelia was standing guard silently, her lance gripped in both hands, when she heard the faint sound of the clock tower. Dong... Dong... She looked around in confusion, her green eyes perplexed. That bell was rung so infrequently, she couldn't think of what it was for. Did a townsperson ring it? What's going on?
As she stood, wondering for what reason the bell had been rung, Amelia realized that the sound was growing closer. And rather quickly, too.
Dong... Dong... Dong...
Amelia looked back ahead. Her mouth opened into a shocked, frightened 'o' as she saw one of the buildings moving. As it crushed down on a house in its path, Amelia let out a weak 'meep'. Not good. Not good. Not good.
"Hurry up with those supplies! Hurry!" Amelia shrieked into the tent, fear oozing into her voice like a balloon rapidly losing air. The creature was a slow-moving one, lumbering along with the pace of a hyperactive sloth, but it was a huge monstrosity and rapidly covering ground. "We have to get out of here!!"

Nils covered his ears. "What is that loud noise?!" He turned in the direction of the sound.
His jaw dropped in shock. "... Oh." The bard stared at the huge clock-tower-turned-monster. "... OH."
He turned to the people working with the tent. "Hurry it up! We don't have that much time!!"
Focusing his attention back to the beast, he gulped. "I guess it's time to test this thing out...!" He clutched the dragon stone tightly.
Slowly, his body transformed, changing from the form of a small bard to his true form: an ice dragon, with scales a shade of teal. He stared at the beast, a new confidence in his eyes. "If I have to fight... so be it. I'm ready."
Even with the massive growth, Nils was barely half the height of the clock-tower.

Renault looked up at the sound of Amelia's yells, and his face took on a darker cast. This monstrosity. . . what the hell was that? It wasn't anything that should ever have been created, he was sure of that. This was blasphemy to the name of the Goddess. Supplies? He glanced back, then placed one last load and turned away, tome coming out as he strode past Amelia towards the. . . creature, tower, thing, whatever it was to be called. That didn't matter. Even if they ran. . . the others who were out didn't know about this. There were surely still soldiers or townspeople or someone of the sort left alive. . . and in any case, this thing would come over to the house and effectively immobilize them.
The bishop looked over at Nils and nodded his appreciation. "This. . . thing. We have to stop it," he growled. "It can't be allowed to reach the house." Raising his spellbook, he aimed towards one of the thing's "eyes", and muttered a few words in an ancient language. Light grew, then lanced towards the creature at a high speed. No need to let it approach any further unharmed.

Amelia took a few steps forward, grasping her weapon tightly enough to make her fingernails dig rather painfully into the chilled skin of her palms. This creature was not like anything she had ever encountered before on Magvel. She didn't think a monstrosity like this could even be possible. What created this...? For that matter, how are we supposed to stop it?
Amelia took a step forward as Nils transformed and Renault blasted out a spell towards one of the beast's eerie yellow eyes. Amelia held her lance forward, tip facing one of its oncoming feet, and gritted her teeth. She didn't know if she would be any help, what with her small stature, but if she could be of help, she would be ready to fight until she couldn't stand any longer.
"Siegell," she called over her shoulder, her voice shaky, "Get the supplies on Shastah and get out of here. Getting the food to the house is the main priority."

Siegell stared in abject horror at the monstrosity, even as the Bishop attacked one of its eyes. Before he could even think it, Shastah rushed through the air and swept upward, striking the other eye with his talons, then dodged the swings of the massive beast's arms, effectively distracting it, flying circles around it. Shastah narrowly missed a clip to the wing that would have grounded him, perhaps permanently, and raked his talons down the massive creature's back. It was too huge and gooey, though, for Shastah's attacks to really do anything significant beyond distract and annoy it.
Siegell was rushing to tie the tent, laden with supplies, into a bag, and he tied it up and with Bartre and Ashnard's help he managed to get some ropes around it for extra support, then fixed a rope harness to it for Shastah to hold.
No verbal command was issued-- as soon as it was ready, Shastah whipped between the creature's legs and shot forward. Siegell ran back, ready to intercept his mount, and Shastah slowed for a moment to grab the harness while Siegell jumped up and climbed into the saddle. "Got it!" he yelled back, trying to get his voice over the din of the bell on the monster's head. "Stop that thing however you can, I'll come back when the food is delivered!" Shastah then took off, struggling for altitude while carrying the weight of the food, and soon they were a retreating speck in the sky, flying toward Fefga's house while Siegell fought off gargoyles that sought to poach their bounty.

Nils trembled slightly. "... It's been quite a while since I've been in this form. I-I'm not used to it yet..." Taking in a deep breath, he released one long stream of ice at one of the clock-tower's many yellow eyes.
