((I've been playing Dead Space. >.< If you like Doom, play that game. O.o Not as good but still flippin' insane!))

Hattie nodded. "I saw her back at the Slave Market. She was with a tall, battle-tank of a woman." She unmuted the Comm and held it so the woman within could see both Hattie and Eric. "Speak."

The woman smiled and her very Tira from Soul Caliber-like voice came through the wave with a giggle. "I can get back your kid. I intercepted your message from the short kid, Hunter was it?" She giggled again. "I got the coordinates meant for you two from him. I'll help you get him back, but you two, and the chickie who's with you, gotta give yourselves up to my sister and I." All the while, Hattie's comm was scanning the Transmission's location. She muted it again and looked at Eric. "She's located close to where I left the Rioreet... She's playin' games."

Inside the tower, Xeen eyed the communication equipment.
"laurel, this means less and little to me. Do you know how to use it?"
"I can try, Uncle."
She pushed various buttons and switches with no result. Then she noticed a cable that had been ripped from a part of the wall that was no longer there.
"Uncle, I think this is the power cable. Without power, the console is useless to us."
Xeen looked at the cable, and at the missing wall, with a particularly vexed look on his face.
"This would be a problem."

"Yeah." Laurel looked around, not only at the room, but at the skyline as well. "Uncle, that domed building out there - could that be an observatory?"

((It's as if Doom III and Resident Evil 4 had a love child. Have you gotten Left 4 dead yet?))
Eric drummed his fingers.
"Well, we have her location. We can always shoot her. Fatally."

((I haven't. I have Soul Caliber 4, Silent Hill 5 and The Last Remnant. I'm playing Dead Space at my cousin's. They got it for Christmas. That gane has ruined Twinkle, Twinkle for me!))

Hattie shook her head. "She's probably lookin' at my ship right now with my crew aboard. We ain't shootin' her." She unmuted the Comm. "If you help us, what do you want?" The girl's child-like face got very serious and she tilted the screen a bit to show a very, very tall woman with black and green hair.

"If we help you, all we want in return is you, your little boyfriend, the other girl on board and the tall blue guys. Your brother," Hattie glared. "Oh yes, I know he's your twin. Kind of hard to miss." She taunted. "His wife, the baby and the rest of your pathetic crews will walk away unharmed. They'll live completely normal lives, I'm sure." She finished with a smile.

"No deal. We can get to her before she can do anything to your ship. Magellan'll send Hunter a coded wave, they defend themselves, we turn her into a friggin' scorch mark."

"You've only got Hunter and Halise on that ship and Sigil's a pacifist." She sighed heavily. "Just get me to my ship and quickly. I'll activate ROSE from here, but some my ship was pretty damaged in a fire fight a month or so ago." She shook her head. "And my Comm is'nt picking up on Hunter and Halise's Comm is offline, too." She punched a few buttons on her Comm. "All I have is Life support readings for the three and ROSE has been deactivated."

After a moment of trying a few more things Hattie shook her head. "There's only two of 'um anyways. We can take 'um." She shrugged.

Eric nodded, punching up the Star's Light, and taking off towards the Rioreet.

Hattie sighed, sliding back into her seat beside Eric. Cale sat just behind her and gave her shoulder a squeeze. Hattie covered his hand, squeezed back and then looked at Eric. "Has anyone checked on Pendari? She wasn't lookin' too well earlier."

Hattie nodded and left her seat. She had left her ship in a field outside of town. Not the wisest idea, but the ship looked like it wouldn't have made it too far in its current condition. She was thankful that Kirill and Camine weren't aboard the ship as she looked over at Eric. "Got a gun I can borrow?"

"Let's go get Ora and check it out together."

Pen had curled up in Jarred's bunk, her breathing shallow and her body plagued with shaking. She pulled the blanket tight around her, folding herself up into a ball beneath it.

Meanwhile, Ora was patiently waiting for her Father and Laurel to return. She sat lotus style on top of some ruins, regretting the fact that she couldn't stay and help the person who had originally bought her. But as always, she had set certain priorities and had to hold to them. She made note to help where she could afterwords, but she had a feeling by then it would be too late. Her face was glum as she flipped a few stones around in her hand, small pebbles she had found on the ground.

Xeen took Laurel with him, stepping through the fabric of reality and re-emerging next to Ora.
"There is a building that she wishes to investigate. Let us go." He said, offering Ora his hand.

Eric turned to Hattie, a look of surprise on his face.
"How many and what kind do you want, babe? I've got a few dozen, each able to spread down death in any array of exciting flavors."

"Nothin' fancy. Simple's fine." She adjusted the pants she was wearing, since they were Eric's they didn't fit too good and sighed. "We just can't seem to catch a break." Her Comm beeped and she answered the Wave to see Halise hunkered down in the engine room. It was a pre-recorded message.

"Hattalia, they've boarded the ship. They've taken Hunter to the Bridge and ripped up my prayer tomes! Sigil is with them, but I- " The message was cut off.
