He thought about it, as much as he didn't like crowds he couldn't leave Callista by herself. He shook his head, "I'll go...I'll be fine." He pulled off his shirt and placed his pack on the ground before he walked over and laid down on the bed.

Callista nodded and climbed on the bed, beside Ray as he lay down. She began to massage his shoulders gently, then got a little bit harsher and eventually moved down his back, massaging the rest of him. "Good?" she inquired, hoping it wasn't painful for him.

He winced a little, who knew she had such strength hidden into her? He shook his head a little, "You're fine...I guess my body was more tense than I thought it was." He rested his head on the pillow, closing his eyes, "This feels nice...thank you..."

"No problem," Callista grunted, focusing on Raykine's back. Her wrist gave a startling cracking sound and Callista yelped quietly in pain. "Stupid wrist." She twisted it around and squeezed it until a resounding pop was created, then she laughed and went back to massaging Ray. Twenty minutes later, she stopped and patted him softly on the back, then lay down on the bed beside him, with her dark purple eyes closed.

Raykine opened one eye to look at her before he sat up. He slowly pressed his hands on her shoulders, just like she did with his back. "Is that good Callista?"

She was slightly startled by his touch, but her eyes closed involuntarily. "Unbelievably," she whispered. "Umm...why are you doing this?"

He smiled a little, "I just want to be able to do something for you in return. Something nice." He smiled down at her, watching her relax. It seemed so peaceful. Then his eyes widen as his ears heard something.
He grabbed Callista and rolled the two of them off of the bed. The sound of the glass window breaking was heard and an arrow buried itself where Callista was laying. He held Callista close to his body, "Keep down...and away from the windows."

Callista was shocked and frightened by the sound of the breaking glass. It was something she had never liked, but felt safe close to Raykine. She only nodded in reply and brought her arms close to her. What is going on?!

He closed his eyes before he opened them quickly, his eyes glowling. Frost started to form on the ground around him and on the walls. Then a wall of ice was starting to form around the windows. More arrows were fired through the window, but his wall was forming too quickly until arrows were bouncing off the wall of ice he made.
"I...I think that someone doesn't want you to talk to the Council...this is very dangerous..."

"Who wouldn't want me to talk to the Council? And why?" Callista asked aloud and she shivered as the ice around them became noticable. "I didn't think it would be this hard, just to get information. This is probably more than you bargained for huh Ray?"

He stood up, "Yes...but don't worry, I'll protect you..." He frowded a little as he took his sword up, "I won't be surprise if they tried facing us head on. Be ready for anything."

Callista too arose and grabbed her curved scimitars and balanced them easily in her hands. "Would you be surprised if they burst through our door?" she whispered to him, motioning to the door with her head and crouched into a defensive stance. "Because I hear people coming towards our door."

He smiled as he shifted forms into his werewolf self. "I wonder how they would react..." He threw open the door and saw several swordmen on the stairwell. He let out a monsterous roar, and one of the swordsmen took a step back and tripped falling down the stair.

Callista smiled and burst out of the door, quickly grabbing her boots and slipping them onto her feet, then her discarded cloak and wrapped it around herself swiftly. Ray had bought her a moment to do this and ran out of the room, a fire blazing in her eyes. "We need to get to the council quickly," she said to Ray quietly and watched as the swordsmen were toppled on by the leading man. "They can help us...hopefully."

Raykine nodded, understanding completely as he banished his sword, slashing at the swords that dared to clash with his. He shoved the men back and ran, picking Callista and throwing his body through a window. They fell two stories before he landed on the streets, he kept Callista close to him, knowing he was the faster of the two of them.
The streets that seemed so lively with activity was now deserted as archers aimed at them on roofs and swordsmen tried to surround them.
