.::Finding Love: Jaxom/Faile.::

Not that this was the first winter Faile had seen, but this was her first alone. And not having a pack to help break trail...sucked. She panted as she alternated between attempting to simply leap through it, plowing through it, and attempting to walk atop it. While there was a bit of crust...it wasn't nearly enough to support a full grown wolf. So it pretty much just ended up as another leap whenever she tried.
Damn hunters. She'd still have a pack if it weren't for those two-legged fiends.

Snow. Snow. Snow.
Last winter felt as if it was only several weeks ago and, once again, fresh powder toppled the tall pines and lathered the ground. The warmth that was still left from summer and sparesly from fall had been obliterated as the winter chills were left nipping at his paws and causing him to hide away from the snow world within his small hideaway den.
Peeking outside briefly, Jaxom wrinkled his muzzle and sighed as a wreath of fog emitted from his nostrils. "Perfect. Just what I need; more snow."
He never was a fan of snowfall, or the cold for that matter, but Jaxom had no choice and couldn't really abandon his pack alongside Kouji and Nessa. The brown and carrot colored male wasn't asking for much- just some new excitement and some thrill...maybe a little action too. Just once, one time, could he have fun like the rest of the guys?
"Can't a guy catch a break?"
Just as he was pivoting away from the outside world, an unfamilair scent wafted his way along with his emerald orbs catching sight of something moving below, off down on the pathway. Blinking as a grin slid upon his maw and curiosity seemed to tug at his instincts, Jaxom stumbled outside and hot on the trail.
"Hey, wait up!" He called out, ever curious and intrigued.

Jet-dark ears swiveled to catch the voice behind Faile, and she sighed softly. Being a lone wolf in what was likely pack lands, she was obligated to answer to even an omega. Didn't mean she had to be nice to them, but she felt like she should at least acknowledge their existence. She slowed her steps, taking advantage of the pause to catch her breath, but not quite stopping. She'd stop if he caught up.
Had to make a male work. Unless they sounded like an alpha that could rip your throat out.

As the wolf slowed its pace, Jaxom trailed behind as his tongue lolled out from the side of his mouth and his adrenaline was peaking. He nearly yeilded dead in his tracks as the uknown wolf was actually a wolfess which was all the better.
"Afternoon," he called out in a calm, collected voice. Padding up beside her, the beta smiled warmly. "Names Jaxom, Jax if you perfer. Welcome to the Tiang-Tang pack lands, miss. Passing through or are you lost?"
Drifting more towards in front of her, Jax settled down on his haunches and thumped his tail behind him. He hadn't seen her before and, most likely, she was an outsider to the pack lands. But that was no problem as visitors were always welcomed. Especially females.
"I'm getting ahead of myself," he softly chuckled with a small bashful hint. "And you are, my dear?"

Faile blinked. Well. Seems she had been wandering in pack lands. "I'm Faile. Lost or passing through? I suppose...it's a bit of both. I used to have a pack, once...but no more. So, I'm stuck by myself." Her ears flicked back. "Not that I'd jump into any pack. I'm used to some things, and a little rank is one." Emerald eyes flicked warily to him, though a hint of amusement lit there. "Which is why I'm still by myself, I think."
RonsoStryder
"Faile," he repeated as he let the name roll off his tounge, liking it and its sound. "A pleasure, I assure you."
His ears seemed to perk upwards, head inching closer towards her as she spoke briefly of her non-existant pack that once was. Jaxom knew exactly what she was referring to and such heartache was one he bore as well. "Two-leggers kill off your pack as well? They did the same to my pack as well; no mercy, no survivors save only my brother, Damu, and I. Those "humans" believe that we are nothing but sheer evil and have a taste for bloodlust. But what do they know? They're the ones that are doin' all the killing."
Sympathetic and compassionate, the beta wuffed low and drew closer towards Faile yet keeping a comfortable distance between the two of them. "Well, well, well. No one would want you to just jump in any old pack and pretend to be happy. Sometimes you just have to do things your way and avoid conformity."
His tail swayed behind him in a most humble and estatic manner. To think that this wolfess was alone but- wait, was she really alone?
"How could any wolf have left you alone this long?" He questioned, knitting his brows in minor thought. A soft, warm smile brushed upon his maw as his eyes captured a rather mysterious and devious gleam. "You must have journeyed far to get here. Can I offer you something to eat? There's a deer carcass in my hideaway up the slope and plenty to share."

"Yes, they did..." Faile's eyes flicked warily to him. He seemed to be singing a very attractive tune. But how much of that was a show? "Not sure it's conformity I want to avoid, but becoming no more than a..." She frowned as she was about to say 'common.' "Nevermind, you're right. Alone? Well, some snippy pink twit decided to harass me for a bit, but she got bored." She looked down as her stomach growled at the mention of food. "But...I do admit hunger. You sure I wouldn't be intruding?" Winter...food was a precous commodity.

Jaxom nodded his head, the same warm smile spread across his maw as he listened intently. "More than just a wolf in a pack, right?" He knew the feeling all too well; joining a pack and feeling relatively worthless. It wasn't until he found Nessa and Kouji that Jaxom felt important and respected not as an individual but as a leader as well.
He chuckled softly, "Pups these days. I once had one make fun of my orange fur but I just told them that it's from the sun....I burn easily." His tail flicked and thumped upon the ground in a merry manner. It was relaxing to see new faces and, of course, to get to know someone from outside of the pack. Faile seemed to spark some interest and, already, he could feel they had much in common. Perhaps he could be able to take this simple acquaintance and turn it in to something more? Friendship, deeper friendship or even- well, there we so many options.
"Intruding? My dear Faile, it would be an honor to have you join me for a meal. Besides, I can't let the rest of the meat go to waste and what better way to avoid the cold then hiding away in a small outcropping of rocks?"
Rising up onto all fours, Jaxom began to pad in the direction. As his muzzle past by her ear, he whispered.
"It's the perfect place where I can get to know you better."
o0 Nel Zelpher 0o
"Yes, that exactly." Faile laughed softly. "The more fools they. There are so many colors of wolf, why make fun of a particular one? One could be considered no more or less strange than another." Her tail started a slow, cautious wag. This male was amusing, and she could certainly use a meal. And a cozy place to sleep. And...well. Anything else would come as it would.
Mouth quirking slightly at his whisper, she padded after him.

As his emerald orbs drew calm, serene and brimming with mischief, Jaxom grinned and leapt into a lively stride, well paced enough for any wolf to follow yet exerting just enough energy to make it a chase. The brown and carrot colored male lunged upwards the slight incline, his paws sweeping across the soft, fresh powder as he maneuvered towards the right where the rocky terrain rose up from the land. A small yet secretive entrance, one that was worn from countless ages of harsh winters, became visible with the tantilizing scent of blood and flesh wafted outside.
Sitting outside with a humble sense about him and his chivalrous manner, Jaxom smiled sweetly. "Ladies first," he announced as his tail curled about him.
He was a true gentlemen; Jaxom was one who was compassionate, kind, selfless and gave more than he ever took. He didn't feel like it was a duty; this was, simply, his way of life and the way he was raised.

Having caught a second wind from the brief pause, Faile took after Jaxom with a will. She nearly stumbled as the scent of food hit her nostrils, though, making her realize just how hungry she was. Catching herself quickly, the black femme smiled back and slipped inside.
RonsoStryder
The beta simply nodded, watching as Faile entered the small cave. Her face clearly defined fatigue and how long she had gone without eating a decent meal was beyond his knowledge but, hopefully, this would be able to last her a while and put a rest to her discomfort and hunger.
Pivoting and padding deeper into the small cavern, Jaxom trotted over to the left hand corner and latched his teeth into the flank of the deer. It was a prize, no doubt, and the creature was already suffering. Rather than let it ends its life in misery and pain, Jaxom had no trouble suffocating it. The only challenge was dragging it up to his small hideaway and caused him to abandon the other half within the depths of snow just past the river. Dragging the carcass into the center, Jaxom released his grip and smiled up towards the wolfess.
"Eat as much as you can and want," he smiled as he settled himself down, slinking his forepaws out and settling down on his stomach, "I've already eaten so don't hold back."
Settling his head upon his crossed paws as he gazed at the black beauty before him, Jaxom tilted his head slightly.
"Is your mate back with your pack?"

Feeling a little self-conscious, Faile dug in with a will, fighting not to eat too fast and send her system into shock. That was hard, though. An empty stomach screamed to be filled, and the taste of venison in her mouth only made the cries louder.
She paused after swallowing a mouthful at the question. "Didn't have a mate. Don't have one."
RonsoStryder
He blinked.
Did he hear her right? Faile didn't have a mate? Now a days, it seemed so strange to be as old as he was and to have not found the love of ones life and to have a companion for life. He knew that other wolves around him thought that it was simply a mystery as to why he hadn't found someone to share his love with, to have someone to start a future with.
"Oh," he somewhat stammered, not expecting to hear that she was single. "Well don't be too envious, I'm a lone wolf in the love department as well."
Jaxom furrowed his brows, frustrated with himself that the one he had only loved was killed. Maybe such trauma had caused him to shy away from love yet- well, it just didn't make sense to anyone why his chivalry had never landed him to find the love of his life. "Love is something I've always wanted, I almost had it once but- but she was killed. But that's life and life is never fair; she can bring us joy or take away the very things that make life worth living." He chuckled softly but the pain of not having someone to love felt like a burdensome weight.
"It's unfair to never be in love, to be loved or to love. The best thing any wolf can do is to let others know that someone does love them and help them vanqiush the pains of being forlorn these days."
As his emerald gaze drifted towards the ground, Jaxom glanced to the side and smiled warmly at Faile. She intrigued him and even if she didn't agree or begged to differ with him- by all means, he wouldn't stop her.
"What do you believe?"

Faile laughed. "Envious? I only get envious if I see some couple being sappy on each other. But when one hasn't found the right one yet, there's not much to do about it." Her eyes glanced over to his. "What do I believe? I'm not sure yet. But your view sounds as good as any, and a great deal better than some I've heard."
RonsoStryder
The brown and carrot colored wolf gave a small smirk as he slowly rose up onto all fours. He narrowed his eyes towards the jet black wolfess and slowly began to pad towards her. "A weakness is seeing others be sappy to one another? Well," trailing towards her, Jaxom wuffed low and slowly nuzzled his muzzle into her pelt. Sliding his muzzle across her pelt, the beta drew it up toward her ear and tenderly nibbled upon it.
He certainly never had have any affection displayed upon him but he was free to show such compassion and love to any wolfess, especially those who were so envious of finding love.
A rumble, soothing and calm, sounded from his chest as he continued to nibble upon her ear. "How does that feel?"

Emerald eyes widened, and the jet she-wolf tensed for a moment. Just for a moment, though. Faile quickly relaxed as she realized that though this was new...it wasn't all too bad. In fact...she thought she rather liked it. "Not...not bad," she replied, only a hint of unsteadiness in her tone.
RonsoStryder
The heart of the brown and carrot colored male began to race; such senations and feelings were surging through his wolfish veins. The need for love was consuming him, it was overtaking him and he could feel his body pulse with a need and a hunger for love. Such emotions never presented them so forcefully, no- Jaxom wouldn't use force and nor was he a wolf who enjoyed a "one night stand".
Slyly shifting to face in front of her, Jaxom began to plant tender kisses upon her maw and nuzzle deep into her pelt. Had she not been loved before? The expression at first conveyed such a message and he could only hope that he wasn't scaring her.
Jaxom was gentle, his heart was pure and chivalry was key but, this time, passion and sensations would be needed to convey the right feeling to get two hearts to beat faster, faster.

Those sensations were starting to race through Faile's own veins, now that she was over her initial surprise. The sneaking suspicion that this might have been planned was impatiently swept aside, to be examined and dealt with later. Later when she didn't have instincts urging her to do anything but think. She began doing some nipping and nuzzling of her own, eyes gleaming with a mischeivous light.
RonsoStryder
It was rare for Jaxom to ever invite any wolfess into his humble cavern and for him to have planned out such a devious meeting to perfection was impossible. The beta was, simply, overcome with such feelings and everything had seemed to fall into place with perfection that he could have only dreamed of! Jaxom and Faile had come together at the right time and place.
The same brilliant emerald orbs of the male seemed to gaze helplessly into those of the shadowed wolfess. He couldn't help it; Jaxom felt as if he was trapped and to tear his eyes away from her were impossible.
Weightless.
Invincible.
Jaxom was in the moment.
His head maneuvered underneath Failes, brushing and rubbing against her and drawing upwards only to bombard her with kisses and affectionate licks. A soft whine emitted from his maw as he pawed at her face. "Have you ever loved like this? I mean-these feelings...they're so strong. There's something about you that's mysterious yet drives my senses wild!"
Intaking a deep breath, Jax slowly exhaled as he nipped at her ear.
"How do you feel, my dear?"

"Never before. But I wouldn't have it any other way." Faile wuffed softly and buried her muzzle in Jaxom's ruff, then yipped playfully and pounced atop him. This was fast, it was sudden...and yet it felt completely right. "How do I feel? Wonderful, Jaxom."
RonsoStryder
Such warmth could be felt between the two of them and emotions were peaking. The brown and carrot colored male smiled, one that was near a smirk yet also was compelling in warmth and a humbe sense. The sensation of her muzzle burying within the midsts of his pelt, feeling her breath upon his skin, made his stomach twist and his body surge with sweet, sweet, adrenaline and seductive desires.
Before he could say anything, Jaxom found himself to suddenly be lunged at as the wolfess whose pelt was as dark and mysterious as a moonless night toppled him. He grinned from ear to ear, feeling as if he could no more fight the emotions, avoid love and stifle such a moment.
"Marvelous," he softly whispered, raising his head upwards and planting another kiss upon her maw. "We've both missed out on love and now's our chance to taste of it."
Nuzzling her while still pinned to the ground, Jaxom panted as he could feel his whole composure being seized with desires and such strong emotions like never before.
"Faile, I can't help but fall in love with you."

Faile licked Jaxom's muzzle affectionately, feeling perfectly comforable sprawled across him. "Yes, our chance." The smile that spread across her night-dark maw was genuine.
"In love with me, hmm?" She nipped at his ear playfully, enjoying the rush of sheer adrenaline and other hormones surging through her. "I think I'd have to say the same."

RonsoStryder
A flush of pink seemed to wash over his cheeks as his eyes seemed to interlock with those of the jet black wolfess, Faile. He was comfortable, he was happy and, most of all, Jaxom was falling helplessly and hard for such a ravashing beauty. The brown and carrot colored male couldn't help it; he had waited so long to taste of love again and, now, he was thristing and quenching it's luscious taste and couldn't stop.
A broad grin played across his maw as she nipped at his ear with a tender manner. Having a female n** at his ear was a weakness and such a sensation made him helpless.
"Will you be mine? Be my lover? I swear that I will bring you nothing but happiness, pleasure and comfort. Oh Faile, I'll give you everything and a passion that can never die." A soft, sweet smile curled upon his maw as he licked her maw in a delicate approach.
"Say it, please. Say it and I will give you everything."
o0 Nel Zelpher 0o
Faile's ears pricked forward as she kept nipping at his ears, pretending to silently think it over. Really though, it took little thinking at all. At the moment, she was alone, but she could easily change that with a word, now.
Besides, if she decided she liked a pack better than here, she was confident she'd be able to convince Jaxom to follow along.
"Yes." She nuzzled her muzzle into his ruff. "I will."

His heart seemed to beat uncontrollably, the sensation as if it would burst right from his chest only caused his whole body to tremble and surge with excitement, passion and emotions that were soaring to new heights. Jaxom had come a long ways and many other wolves thought that love would not come his way after losing the love of his life. But after meeting the black wolfess, everything seemed to change for the better. The chivalrous gentlemen had found himself a mate and a companion; one whom he could exhert all of his energy and love towards and someone who could return such deeply felt emotions as well.
Emerald orbs seemed to capture a newfound brilliance and gleamed with a new brightness of hope. It felt so surreal yet, at the same time, it felt so right. His ears swiveled back slightly as a grin overtook his maw.
"And you've made the best choice you could ever make, my dear," he whispered softly, muzzle seizing hers in licks as his tail thumped upon the ground merrily, estatic and fervently. Scooting his back paws to inch him slowly from underneath the female, Jaxom breached upwards and threw his forepaws around her in a hugging motion and tumbled with her to the side within the shadows.
Love was found, emotions were at its peak, and Jaxom was no more alone within the world.
