I lost the use of my car for about two weeks, and I think it's the best thing ever, really. 'Cuz the closest bus stop I can use for school is between .5-1 miles away from my house, uphill. In the last two weeks alone, I've shed so much extra baggage from around my calves and thighs, it's amazing. So even when I get my car back in another week, I think I'm going to keep trying to go to school by bus every chance I get. It's cheaper, anyhow. mrgreen

After the first week, (started on monday) I met my goal of 2 lbs. :] Because my overall goal is 5-10. But I've been at a plateau for quite some time at 120-123, fluctuating in between.
But I'm now to 118! YAY!

Today we went shopping for groceries, and I learned how to say "no" to all the excess calories (e.g gronala bars, candies). I wonder how long I can keep this up? xd

I got a lovely surprise Friday in the mail. My mother-in-law is so proud of me for losing 50 pounds that she bought me an iPod to celebrate with. Now it's going to be even easier to get in my workouts, since I'll have something to get me in a fired-up mood and keep a strong beat while I'm on the treadmill or out on a long walk. I'm so excited! It's going to be so much more fun losing the rest of the weight than it has been to lose the first part.
All you folks that are pleased with yourself for eating the bare minimum, think again. If you aren't eating enough to support your body weight, you could be slowing down your metabolism. Your body thinks it's starving, so it'll hang onto fat instead of burning it off. Talk to your doctor about how much you should really be eating, and stick with a sensible plan.
Also, don't avoid sweets. Just get healthy sweets. Have some fruit. It will help you feel satisfied with its sweetness, and the fiber will help you feel full.

I started work as a waitress about 4 weeks ago.
Best. Thing. Ever.
I'm on my feet for about 6 hours a day, which has improved my endurance and all the plates has made my arms stronger and leaner. Plus I've lost some flab from my thighs, bum and stomach so I'm looking trimmer all around.
I haven't been this freaking slim in, ever!

I found what looks to be an awesome running program. I posted it in here. :D I have asthma, and bad, scarred lungs from being sick (have 70% capacity) and this beginner's running program should work me up to being able to run! I'm going to try it, at least. I've never been able to run.
YAY! for trying! :D
