Belladonna gave a quick nod and hurried down the stairs, nearly tripping as she did so. If she got an order from her master, then she intended to carry it out as soon as possible. She arrived outside where a few of Ulric's skeletons were sitting around lazily. "Guards!" she yelled. All of the corpses stood up and looked at her... well if they had eyes they would be looking. "Rebuild your comrade immediately!" she barked the order. She stood by and supervised as the skeletons began to move about and rebuild the army that had recently been destroyed.

(I Declare it DAWN!)
The necromancer was quick to move to his study, snatching a book from some dark-looking set of tomes, he flipped thought the pages and nodded. He then turned about and walked down the stairs to the town. If there were vampires, they must be removed...

Adrian's voice was carried by the air to his children outside, heard only by them, The dawn comes! Hurry back to the mansion, lest the sun burn you to ashes!

~Fortune Nicholas rose out of his bed, and realized that he had completely shredded the mayor's carpeting with his sword. Pulling it out of its deep niche in the ground, he sheathed it but did not put it away. The mercenary explored the house very thoroughly, searching it for - what, he did not really know. Once he was satisfied that the building did not contain any threats, he settled down for some breakfast. Afterwards, he donned his regular clothes and his trademark black cloak. He retained his sword, attached to his belt, and also stuck his CWG53 - commonly referred to as a Savage Revolver - into his belt. The flintlock pistol would come in handy if he needed a quick shot. Then Nicholas left the mayor's home, intending to make his way first to the scientist's home - with questions about the queer occurrences the night before.

Bella watched her master with a raised eyebrow. He really wants to get rid of those vampires, she thought. It's not like the creature intended any harm... or did it? She shook her head. Now wasn't the time to worry about vampires and other creatures of the night. She was supposed to be making sure the skeletons rebuilt themselves, not daydreaming about monsters.

The necromancer, fully robed and holding a book, strode right past the hunter, straight for the mayor's house.
Villagers watched him nervously, the Necromancer never terrorized the village, he left them well enough alone, but almost anyone who bothered him was sent to an early grave... unless he saw potential...

((O_o that's odd enough.)) ~Fortune Nicholas wandered up to the tall structure that served as the home or headquarters of the mad scientist he'd heard about. While he wasn't sure how he should proceed, not wanting to actually walk up to the door, Nicholas waited in the yards surrounding the building, hoping someone would see him soon. He had noticed the necromancer - even if he hadn't known the person for who he really was. Magic was a mystery to Nicholas, and he felt unnerved enough to leave things well enough alone - at least, for the time being. The subject of sorcery was one of the many topics he had written his monks about.

Grey woke up on something hard and uncomfortable. Glanicing around he realized he was still in the hall where he'd spent the night watching the battle. Ach. Guess I fell asleep, he muttered quietly, standing up and rubbing his sore back.

Gordon came out to water his plants in the garden out front... even a mad scientist needs hobbies... He had moved over to his carrots when he saw Nicholas. He frowned and walked up to the gate, "Do you have an appointment, or are you applying for a job?" he asked, not very menacing, considering he had a beaten up sky blue watering can in one hand, but was still wearing the outfit from last night.
---
Ulric knocked on the mayor's door.
"Hey! Local official! I have an issue I need to talk about! It's nothing to do with the doctor... not this time anyway! Open up you coward!"

Star was lieing awake in her coffin. She could not get to sleep even though it was dawn. Who will win the battle? I wonder. Or will it always come to a draw? All of this was going through her mind as she finally fell into a deep troubled sleep.

((Wanting me to be one of the mayor's servants? If not, tell me and I'll edit and omit the bottom half of this post.)) ~Fortune "Neither." was the mercenary's reply. Nicholas walked over to the gate as well, taking care not to seem threatening. "I just came because I wanted to ask the head scientist some questions." Judging from his attire, Nicholas could reasonably assume that the man before him was so. "I wasn't aware I needed an appointment - it's just about the local phenomena that occurs in this village every night. But I can come back, later, if need be." ~ After a few minutes of waiting, the door opened and a nervous head popped out of the mayor's home. "Th-the mayor isn't present at this time, good sir-" At the sight of Ulric, the servant let out a small, "-erp!-" and closed the door to a crack. From the other side of the door's relative safety, the servant gave a quick, frightened answer. "Seek out Nicholas Fortune - the mayor called him here to resolve any problems with the village during his absence!" The door closed quickly, and a record must've been set in the small amount of time that all ten locks on the door were engaged.

(that's fine)
Dr. Gordon smiled, "I am the head scientist. if you wish to talk, come in, the gate is unlocked, after all... I'll be ready with you after I'm finished in my garden. If you want to talk about the battle last night, I really don't want to hear criticisms... I already tied with him again..."
Gordon sighed and poured water onto his vegetables.
---
Ulric bashed his hand on the door again, "Underling! Don't send me off to someone without telling me where he went! If you do not tell me, I shall stay here until you do. I have nothing but time right now."

~Fortune An whistling, romantical old maid who was passing by a window on the second story stuck her head out of it. "Why, Mister Ulric, you're looking for that fine young chap who moved in here?" the maid's eyelashes fluttered as she thought of the man again. "He's likely talking to your adversary, sir, that Doctor. I imagine he's curious about your nightly fights, mi'lord." The maid walked on, before sticking her head out of a different window. "I beg your pardons sir, but I imagine he'll likely visit your tower soon enough after." And with that, the maid was off, whistling and fantasizing about strong young men. ~ Nicholas allowed himself into the property, nodding to Dr. Gordon after doing so. Unsure of where he was expected to wait, the mercenary sat down on a bench somewhat away from the garden, facing away so as to not bother the doctor by watching.

Grey looked out of the window he was near. Who's that? he thought curiously, noticing a man out in the garden with the doctor. Turning he walked down the steps heading for the door. He didn't know who that man was, but he was going to find out.

"Thank you, ma'am." Ulric, now knowing the man would come to him, strode back to his tower.
---
"I don't usually get many visitors to chat... most come here because they chopped of a finger, broke a leg or some other stupid thing they did to themselves. but, as a doctor, I must tend to the sick..." Gordon commented as he poured water on his patch of lettuce, "I'm almost done. This garden will make the most delicious salad..."

~Fortune Nicholas turned his head to look over his shoulder, speaking a little louder than typical so he could be heard. "Aye, people do stupid things - including myself." A chuckle escaped the mercenary's lips before he continued, "Does your garden really thrive in this area? I'm surprised if it does - what with all the undead running around." Back to the subject at hand, as it seemed. Nicholas made a mental note - in the case that once all this was over and both he and the doctor were still alive - to try Gordon's salad. He loved gardening, himself.
