"What's that supposed to mean?" Livi asked warily. "Mystic can't know my story - Wave, it's far too dangerous for me! I know that if I tell anyone my story...the villains will coming looking for me. It's not something that might happen, or something you can prevent. It's a given. If anyone knows the truth about me, I'm dead - literally."

Billie lowered her head looking away, "I'm sorry then, I won't be able to free you then. But...I will try to get you out of here even if it is for a while. And...I'll always be your friend. If any of these guys give you a hard time, tell me and I'll personally deal with them. Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned, well hell hasn't seen me when I've been scorned."

Nathan nodded his head. "Well, Lady Soundwave can really pack a punch." Nathan sighed. He was telling the truth. He hadn't done anything to make himself known as a terrorist or criminal. A villain. "Okay. Well, your clean." Nathan waved his hand. The room seemed to morph into the main loby. Nathan smiled at Altair's face. "It's a teleportation spell. Just go to that lady over there and she will give you your stuff back. You can leave as soon as you have your things. Sorry for the inconvenions. Good day." Nathan teleported back to Olivia's holding spell. "Okay, how's she been?" He asked Billie. She seemed to be talking to her through the glass. Nathan sighed. Billie was too trusting, too forgiving. She either needed to harden her heart, or she would end up getting herself killed.

Billie stood and looked at Nathan, "After accidently touching the wall, she is doing better. She really doesn't seem evil to me Mystic, and maybe we were wrong. The negative waves were there, but I haven't felt them lately. Can we give her a chance Mystic? Please?"

Livi smiled briefly at Billie, then her smile disappeared as she looked at Nathan. "Mystic, I beg you to give me a chance," she said, sinking to her knees. "You can insert a tracker into me so you can find me easily and watch my progress, or you can at least let me wander around this place. Wave tells me that I would not be completely free unless I told you my story - which, or course, would get me killed. Please, just give me a chance. I will not let you down."

Altair held up a hand as Nathan vanished, but he was too slow. "Wait!" he called. His hand dropped as he looked around. There had to be a way. But if he went wandering around, he'd probably be caught again. And he wasn't about to leave without his friend. Nathan? he thought, trying the telepathy that he had been experimenting with since Livi taught him. Can you...can you please let her go? She's my friend...

Livi thought she heard Altair, but perhaps she imagined it - in fact, it seemed highly likely that she had. Nevertheless, she tried to reach him. Altair, are you all right? she asked worriedly. Altair? Has anything bad happened to you? Are they going to let you go free? She continued to bombard him with questions. Altair?

Nathan looked down at the girl and then back at Billie. "She's a shape-shifter. She can easily get rid of the tracker by shape-shifting into something. And if we let her loose in her, she could easily steal any Legion info that she wants. She can't be trusted." Nathan looked down at the girl behind the window. Billie. You're becoming weak. You're letting this girl twist your emotions to fit her current objective. Freedom. She can't be trusted. She's a shape-shifter. She his a master of desception. Don't trust her. Stop listning to her. Unless you want to end up in the Legionaire Memorial because some girl killed you. Nathan gave her a glance. His eyes were cold and harsh. They needed to be, she needed the truth or else she would get killed.
Then, Nathan felt Altair's thoughts in his head. His expression became shocked. He had abilities. He wasn't just a inocent bystandered. He was a meta-human. The paper he filled out said he grew up on Albion. It was a very dangerous place. A genetics lab. He was used in some of the experiments, but all came back negetive. He wasn't supposed to have powers. "Lady Soundwave. I need you to take this to Ultra Lad. He should be in the H-T." Nathan handed her a flash key. She nodded her head and left, Nathan right infront of her. He turned to one of the Legionaires on security duty. They were Sunburst and Magnaman. He passed by them both, only giving them a glance each. Lady Soundwave no longer has clearence to enter the holding facilities. Do not let her in. And if she ask, tell her she can talk to me about it. They two both go the message and nodded. Nathan continued down the hall and retreated to the Missions Lounge, a place for Legionaires who want to retreat to a quiet, peaceful, public place.

Altair smiled broadly. Livi! He clapped his hands happily. Livi, where are you? Are you OK? I'm fine, I talked with Nathan for a bit and he decided to let me go. Did they do anything to you? You'd better be OK, you said these people would kill you...

I know, Altair. "Mystic! Wait! You can't do this - I won't shape-shift! My powers don't work in here..." She gulped as she noticed that Nathan and Billie were gone, leaving two burly-looking guards in their place. Altair, I don't know where I am. I'm in a cell in Hallway 5, Building 3. I don't know what cell it is, but there are two guards in front of me - you'll never get past them. Maybe you can distract them somehow...Altair, if you reach out to me, I might be able to briefly give you the power to shape-shift, so you can distract these guards. She sighed and went on. They will kill me, Altair. I know it. Nathan took Billie away, and I was able to hear his thoughts - she won't be allowed back. Please, somehow get Billie here to me...or come here yourself. Please, Altair. There isn't much time left. She crumpled, exhausted to the floor; she had done all she could, and now all she could do was wait...and hope.

Altair listened in silence. I understand. Hang onto your power; you'll probably need to save your strength. Besides, I have my own powers. Altair slid through the door, unnoticed, and began to walk. As he neared the area where she had told him she was, he was able to move more freely, since there were fewer people. Livi? Keep talking to me. Stay with me here. He was nearly there. He also sent an open mental message saying, Billie?

Billie flinched when Nathan gave her that look and spoke to her. After she delivered the flash key to Ultra Lad, she went back to her room. She knew Nathan, after saying that to her, there was no way she was allowed to go back. She went into her room and took off her ring, belt and flute, and sat down on her bed. She shook her head to stop herself from crying, if she started crying, she'd cause wailing waves and she didn't want Nathan to hear those. Or anyone for that matter. She heard that man's voice and she squinted her eyes closed Stop! Don't talk to me, leave me alone! a chocked sob escaped her and she covered her face in her hands.

Livi sat up on her knees. Altair, where are you? What powers do you have? Will they be able to get me out of here? Perhaps you can find Billie - she might be able to help distract my guards. She could sense Altair coming closer, and she now directed her thoughts at Billie. Hey Billie, it's me; don't worry about the voice you heard earlier, it was Altair and he's going to find you. I think. Then you two can try to distract the guards ad help me break out of this place.

Nathan relaxed and drank some vitamine water. It was crazy what the people had made these days. His home world was much like earth of the 21st century. He had read it from the book that showed him his powers. He was finally calming down when one of the trainees entered the room with a stack of files. Behind him was Ultra Lad. "Hey Mystic! What's with this?" He showed him the flash key. Nathan sighed. "Oh, it was a destraction to get Billie out of the holding cells." Nathan said with tired eyes. He snapped his fingers and the flash key dissappeared. Ultra Lad sat down next to him. "What's with her?" He asked curiously. "I don't know. She decided that creating a bond with the terrorist would be nice, I guess. I mean, I even read off her crimes. She admitted to all but the accounts of murder. She said that she hadn't murdered anyone. I believe her, but she's still a theif and capable of great things. Billie says her waves are good, but she doesn't understand the complexity of a shape-shifter. Once they have full control over their powers, they can fool everyone. Even the most powerful of telepaths." Nathan slumped back in the sofa and put his hands to his face. Ultra Lad chuckled. "Rough day, huh?" Nathan peeked at him. "You wouldn't know the half of it." Ultra Lad stood and lifted the stack of files and papers with his telekinesis. "Well, then, I'll just take care of these for you." Nathan looked at him with surprise and joy. "Are you serious?" He asked in disbelief. "Yeah, sure. I have nothing better the do, and you've had a bad day." Nathan laughed exaustedly. "Bad two days." Ultra Lad smiled. "Well, then, more of a point for you to go and take a rest and for me to take care of these files." He looked down at them. "Hey, they may even be fun." Nathan humphed and stood. "I'll be in my room if you need me. Thanks, Vince." Ultra Lad padded him on the back and followed him out of the room. "Anytime. I'll be in the confrence room working on these babies if you need me." Nathan walked down the hall in the opposite direction of Ultra Lad. He stopped outside his room. Something didn't feel right. Nathan shrugged it off. He wasn't the only high ranked telepath on duty or in Tower. Someone else would surely take care of it. Nathan walked into his room and flopped down on his bed. His clothes dissappeared off his body with the snap of his fingers. Nathan pulled the covers over his naked body and slowly fell asleep.

Billie brought her legs up to her chest and shook her head Olivia...I'm sorry. Don't send anyone to find me, please. Escape on your own, I can't do that to my friends. I am still your friend, but...I can't Olivia! Please, do not contact me anymore. You'll be safer that way...please... another choked sob excaped her Don't talk to me anymore...forgive me tears fell down her cheeks and she held her head falling on her side on her bed. She put up what sounded like static on a radio over her mind, so if Olivia or Nathan even tried talking to her, they wouldn't get through. Billie was too upset to even think.
