((Hey- this RP has been going off and on for over a year now! Happy Birthday, thread!))
Mishaweha grabbed one of the scrolls offered to her by the butler, reading carefully. It seemed that the language barrier for written words had also been lifted- the text was written in clear Taurahe. Misha couldn't tell if it was because of the language-magic or if it in fact been written in her native language. She suspected the latter, as the text did not seem to jitter when she read, unlike the faint, foreign noises she heard when the others talked, and vis versa.
She was rolling the scroll back up as Hope talked, adding in her own questions. "Ah, and do you have a, hm, library where we could research about this New York?" The Tauren stumbled when trying to think of where this knowledge would be stored. Tauren had much more oral history than written, due to their former migratory ways. Only the most important information was written on scrolls, often kept in an Elder's home. But she knew of libraries from the Forsaken; from the way they spoke they were common among humans.

((Hehe. That's funny.))
The Lady nodded. "Yes, the library may have some information on New York. Please gather here when you are ready, and I can transport you."
((Uh, the library books wouldn't have details on the exact train/subway route maps and so on. But it will have stuff on some culture and pictures and technology.))

(cool, happy belated birthday....... wait a sec......this is longest lasting Rp i've ever been in!)
Jonathan eyed the pointy eared person after his curt responce. "Well you look normal in your own eyes, but to me or her..." He guestured at Hope. "...you might look weird. Anyways if they really have some sort of festival like the Lady says, then we probably shouldn't worry about blending in."

Jade smiled back at Hope. Well, Jonathan had a point. Cyler, as a werewolf, was normal to her, but werewolves didn't usually show up that often in plain sight. The pointy earred guy might as well be a vampire because sometimes, vampires had pointy ears. The cow was definitely not something she'd seen. But everyone had different clothes too. Some outlandish.
"Ok, where's the library?" Jade asked, to which she got an answer that said the butler would say them.

"Ill stay here thanks." Cyler looked around. To him these people looked normal. Or at least normal compared to what he had seen in his lifetime. "Is there some tye of magic that can hide my appearence if I was to transform into my wolf form. Or will I just need to ditch my clothes if I do so."

Mishaweha opted to follow Jade (and any others who were walking that way) to the library. She walked in silence, not really having anything to say.
It was only a few moments until they arrived at the library (the tauren suspected that perhaps some doors were magicked to make the distance to the library incredibly short; otherwise, she always kept a library close by). The inside, of course, was as mystical and breathtaking as the rest of the house. There were shelves upon shelves upon shelves of books.
Misha felt very fortunate that the butler guided them directly to the books on Earth, specifically New York. Otherwise, she would surely have been lost.
Murmuring a thanks, she selected a copy that had a picture on the cover. Taking one look at the cover she nearly dropped it.
"Ah... Oh, sorry," she quickly apologized to the others in the library. "The text it... it looked like it moved," was the rest of her mumbled explanation. A quick opening of the cover showed that the text seemed to bend from some foreign script into familiar Taurahe, briefly. It seemed that these words needed to use the language spell for her to read them, unlike the pre-written letter. Still, a weird wavering at every page turn wasn't a bad compromise to be able to read it.
Taking an unclaimed seat, she began to pour over the text, skimming for details. From the pictures, it seemed the inhabitants of this world were also human-esque, like many of the people around the table. In fact, they looked almost the same as the humans on her world (though admittedly, she had only seen live humans a few times, at a distance).
There were many interesting details in the book. It seemed that they had unusual technology; Mishaweha hardly recognized anything, and if the word was familiar, it hardly resembled what she was used to. She had a feeling that this trip would leave her feeling a little lost.
A few minutes past before she saw some sort of blurb about the city they were going to. There was a picture, showing many, many large buildings across the sky. Mishaweha was awed; she wasn't sure if any city on Azeroth was so... tall. Or compact, she guessed, from the pictures of people earlier.
"I still don't believe we could go incognito there..." she muttered to herself, but loud enough for the others in the library to hear.

Jonathan went through a mental list of what needed to be done in preperation for a mission. He wantd to make sure that all of their bases were covered and that they wouldn't forget anything.
'Okay, the loadout is set. Everyone seems to have thier own weapons that they perfer to use. The festival should be an excuse to us carrying them out in public. Intel, is already being taken care of, the library should have everything we need. Trasportation is being taken care of by the Lady so that should be no problem. I don't think we're going to get any other forms of support so that's out of the way. Communications......erh, i don't think there's anything covering that. If we get split up we need a way to get in contact of each other espically with no support.....'
"Well everyone else seems to have the library covered, so i'll leave that you guys." Jonathan said as the people going to the library got up to leave. He had stayed in his seat and watched as they left to the library. That's when Jonathan had realzied something. 'I haven't given them my name have I?" Now that he thought about it, he hadn't given out his name since he had arrived here. 'Ironic in that Richard asked for my name just before arriving here.....'
Jonathan then turned his attention back to the lady. "Okay, i know you have something in mind for transporting us to the planets and back, but what if one of us were to get separated from the rest of the group during the mission. Do you have a way for us to get in contact with each other? Or do we not have to worry about that?"

((Yikes, can't make it too easy for you all.))
The Lady blinked at Cyler's question. The wereman was persistent, and so was the other human looking man. The Lady smiled softly. "There should be no need for disguise because of the festival..." Truth be told, she could not manage the magic at the moment. Transporting them was going to take much energy.
"I can only communicate with you by the transport point. Among your group, the butler has two matching devices that can be used to communicate with the people in case you get separated. However, there are only two, so it would be in the best interest to stay in two groups to remain in contact."

Yay! I can read this stuff! Jade happily thought. Reading up on New York, she found some fascinating things. Some of the "Technology" reminded her of stuff that Er would invent. Er had invented something called a minicomputer and a hoverboard, something unheard of in her world...except for Er.
Jade heard Misha's comment and was abuot to respond when she saw a scary face in the book. She screamed and dropped the book.
((Yup, Halloween picture in bookies.))

The tauren knocked over her chair when she heard the scream, standing very rapidly, hand going to her mace as she looked about for the source. That human thing, Jade, had screamed. A quick glance showed that she overreacted to the situation, as the human was just staring at a book on the floor. She must have dropped it, presumably in fright, which would have explained the loud thunking noise.
But yes; pulling out a weapon and getting ready to cast a lightning spell to fry an nonexistent monster was definitely and overreaction when they were in a safe library, for crying out loud.
Mishaweha ahemed, trying to make it seem like she did all of that on purpose. Shaking some stray sparks out of her hand as she quickly righted her chair in a swift motion, making it look easy with her big tauren muscles.
"Really now; did you have to scream like that?" she chided gently, as if it were the other one's fault that she had knocked over her chair. She bent over and picked up the fallen book, which was still open to the page that made the other one scream.
Only because she was prepared for something to be on the page did Mishaweha not scream; the page was a rather shocking display. She could understand why another human type would be more revolted at the images; it seemed that some undead, possibly some ghosts, had been photographed (for one had a long drawn out white face), and Misha knew that humans didn't particularly like dead people of their own kinds. Turning to that page with no warning would indeed be shocking. Perhaps a more apologetic tone was needed.
"Do not worry friend. It is only a book. But this picture is frightening..." She set the book with the picture open on the table so they could both examine it. There was some text near the bottom of the picture, but she was having some trouble reading it.

((ANNOUNCEMENT:Ok, so here's the plan. I'm in finals right now, but whenever I finish, I'll move the RP along and have us sent to Earth. So, meanwhile, whoever else wants to RP anything that happens before leaving, go ahead.))
"Umm, true?" Jade stuttered when the Tauren came over. She looked at the words at the bottom, but couldn't make out all of them. "Murderer.. ghost?"
She looked around. "Where is everyone else anyway? Even if we do have that holiday thing going on, won't they stick out like sore thumbs if they don't anything about the area?"

"I'm sure they have their reasons for not coming to the library," Mishaweha said distantly, a small frown appearing on her face. "Perhaps they have heard of this Earth before. Or perhaps," her frown turning into a slight smile, "they expect us to fill them in on this matter. At any rate, if at least some of us know what is going on, I'm sure we will be fine." Eying the picture for a few moments longer, she went back to reading a different book about Earth, though she certainly was not going to refuse conversation with her companion.
