(( I liked the double date thing. Sounds interesting. I'm going to go with this for now tho too, see what happens.
Oh, interesting trivia about Val. I introduced the idea of summoning my angels ages ago, mainly for in-shop RP purposes. Val is especially susceptible to it much to his dismay. So you call the angel's name, poof, there they are. Summoning can be by important people in their lives, through need (being in danger, having nightmares, etc) or desire (don't need to explain that do I? lol). *nudges Reno* File that away for future reference. wink ))

Val sighed inwardly. For many years it had been his habit to rarely act on his thoughts, usually from moody contemplation of the consequences. Events often propelled him from his thoughts into action anyway, whether they were related to his brooding or not. Or in other situations he avoided decisions and people very literally (by fleeing). He was, in general, rather hopeless.
Reno was in a way, at least in this situation, forcing him to act. Val could not avoid the demon's banter nor the real meaning behind it; he was no longer allowed to flee because of his promise to Reno. This made him nervous - easier to hide than embarrassment, except that it was propelling him to act.
"We could go back so you can change, or," he continued, gesturing to the stereo Reno had brought along for the picnic, "we could do it here." This place was secluded and quiet. They could do just about anything out here.

((You know...that summoning thing should work for demons too. I mean angels and demons are the same creature...just from opposite places. I've got a book on word origins and angel and demon both mean messenger. smile That amused me for some reason.
I kinda like the double date idea too. Who else would we bring in? Are there any of my boys you like? Reno, Diva & Envy are really the only ones taken. All the other ones that are mated their owners don't come here anymore so I guess their single again.))
Reno wrapped both his arms around the angels neck and hugged him tightly. He was fairly certain that he was making Val a bit uncomfortable at the same time the angel was really trying and he appreciated that. It had to be hard on him. ...I've got something that hard for him....no...bad Reno. Don't scare the man off!!
"Let's do it here for now. It's rather unlikely that anyone else will disturb us here. So teacher...where would you like to start?" Reno stood up and tossed his blue blazer to the ground. So that he just had on his sloppy shirt and pants.

(( That really is amusing, and it makes sense. Whenever you want something really badly the demon comes first with a too good to be true offer. xD
Of course I always was partial to Gambit, Tasuki and Tsume. But you have so many boys that I love. I just looked through the first page for example and I like all of them, and could probably come up with something interesting (or someone interesting to throw at them). Then I thought, "who would Reno know or be close enough to, to do a double date with?" I see him as being the type to know everyone. So that doesn't help. Thanks Reno. So on the other side of the coin... who's friends with Val that's available?
* Ignatius - bad luck in love, so he's obsessed with Cat pack stuff. Unlikely to choose another Cat as a mate, if anyone at all at this point.
* Jimi - yes, they're friends, lol. Also has a complicated past love life/family life. He's definitely single though.
* Keith - complete hermit, and that's how he knows Val. But I could see him coming up in conversation and Reno elbowing Val about getting him into the social scene.
* Raven - mainly because of when I got them, and their angel/demon in limbo status. He will party and have a good time, unlike Val. Also has a complicated past and family, I'm actually trying to work in some aspects of The Crow into his story to explain why he's even here... instead of dead and in Heaven or something o.o;
* Shido - mostly because of the protector-of-the-weak-from-the-shadows thing. It might be tricky to get Shido into a double date situation.
* Vincent - biker mouse from mars... they met in the woods when val was target practicing and blew up a hill together with a rocket launcher. It was fun. Keith was pissed because it was near his house. I need to post that up so you can read it.
Um... Val doesn't have many friends, but he knows about everybody. So anyone that's single and catches your eye is fair game. We can pick out several boys for several different RPs too, not just this one, of course. Boys who are unavailable - Mel, Inari, Pierre, Cheal (I just don't RP him), Val, Asher's (maybe), Keahi, Carlos, Merric, Laramie (mate's owner left the shop tho so I dunno), Friello, Solange, DiZ (because I don't RP him), Kallisto (YAY! very recent development), George, Freddie, Aaron.
I am so sorry that was so long. We can continue in PMs if you prefer. We can also just Randomize from who's available. xD ))
Val stood up, feeling slightly dazed. "Well... I suppose that depends on what dance you want to learn." He started to remove his shirt, which took a little bit of doing. It was specially fitted to tie with his double-set of wings in mind. When he was finished, he tossed the shirt aside and crouched down next to the stereo, flipping it on. "I think the best way to learn is in-practice so I'll show you what to do as we go."
(( Reno, you should just give him a 'hard time.' *shot*
Side note: two things I am horrible at - swimming and dancing. I know almost nothing about dancing. So I'm making most things up as I go. ))

*melts at Gambit hotness* You are the only reason I went and saw Wolverine's origins.
Anyways...enough arguing with the voices in my head. I was thinking I'd like to bring out Tsume...he isn't the most social person and he isn't a wallflower. Do you have someone specific you would like to try with him? Or you can roll to get a random like you said.
Don't worry 'bout taking a long time to answer...I do that all the time. Sometimes I have tons of inspiration then others I stare at the screen forever trying to think what to say. smile
I can swim but I never did learn to dance so... *shrugs* We'll both fake it.))
"Yes master. I'll shall follow your every move with great interest." Reno chuckles softly and does indeed watch in great interest when Val takes off his shirt. He wanted to make sure he'd know how to remove it later...just in case.

(( My sister and I were pissed because he's been in none of the other X-men movies. May have been in one but cameo doesn't count. How did they portray him in this one? Did they do a GREAT job? I will not be happy if he was cast only so-so. And my sister will go on a rampage. xD
Yay, Tsume! When I RPed as Tsume at another shop, all the cute little kids flocked to his side. One demanded with great ferocity that he be trained by Tsume (which is funny because Tsume would have kicked his a** easily if he wanted to). I was scratching my head. He was too and he hated it. xD Hmm... ponder ponder ponder. Whom to throw at him... >< I have cute little 'kids' and I have biker types, and music types and rugged types...
Annnnd... several hours later... it came down to Raven and Keelin actually. Raven then bowed out because Kallisto wants his mom to have a boyfriend. Kallisto is a wolfbear and we don't want him angry, lol. If you have preference one over the other (Keelin or Raven) let me know, otherwise I'll throw out the amazingly girly-looking Keelin. xD
Raven: Well, Tsume has great taste in clothing, but... xD
Keelin: I would only go because of Kallisto's insistence. e_e;
They're both lonely, so don't listen to them. xD ))
Val glanced sharply back at Reno. If it weren't for the look in the demon's eyes he would have taken Reno's joke for sarcasm. Forcing his attention back to the stereo he turned the dial with a sigh to gather himself, found something with a nice consistent beat, then returned to where Reno stood. He guided the demon into the proper stance, then he lead them into the dance with patient instruction. "And once you get the hang of this I'll let you lead," he added with a faint smirk.

((Tsume and Keelin look like they would be a bad mix. Just that part where you said Keelin pretty much has victim on him back...if you want to play him I think Hermesiel would be a better match. He's an angel...as in his my only angel that is christian. My other angels are all fallen. So those two might work well together. Or Raven and Tsume would work I think...or we could do a triple date instead of a double date. xp
Gambit...the guy playing him was gorgeous which is a major plus. Look up Tyler Kitsch. There are some very nice shirtless pics of him on the net. That's who played him. He didn't have the accent or the eyes. Those were the only complaints I had. Well he did have a generic southern accent but I wanted a cajun one!! He had the looks and moves so it wasn't all bad. Fairly good movie all in all.))
Reno concentrated on Val's movements. He was trying to copy the other but he kept on getting distracted by the way Val moved. "Hmmm...that might take a while. I'm not used to this kind of dancing...just hope that I don't crush ya feet."

(( *slaps forehead* Sorry, his profile is really inaccurate. He woke up to reality and isn't like that anymore. xD; His first mate was like a bad boy type, they got hitched, and Keelin got dumped. Good thing he didn't get preggers to boot. It would have been too cliche. He would probably see Tsume and have flashbacks. >>; But um, he focused on helping raise a bunch of the kids at the Nullspace (lots of single parents and all), so he's like everyone's mom, with manners and style (if you like pink) thrown in. xD Come to think of it, he's probably not a great match for Tsume anyway. xD Okay, Raven it is. <3
Okay, I checked him out... he LOOKS like he'd make a good Gambit. No Cajun accent just detracts from Gambit's overall charm. I don't think I've heard it all that often in movies though so I can understand that it would be difficult to cast for. The eyes, while a minor detail, could have easily been done with CG, like they did with Storm. Oh well. I'll watch the movie, I have to, it IS Gambit. <3 ))
He leaned in to kiss Reno then murmured, "Don't worry, I'm wearing boots. I always thought of you as being light on your feet though..." And who would have thought Val could actually dance? But once upon a time he wore a suit daily, may as well look the part of a badass gentleman. "We can keep going until you're comfortable with it."

((Cajun and french are close. At one point in time they were the same thing. It's things like french say sharee while a cajun would say sha. My mother is cajun so I know the accent. What's driving me crazy is I don't remember if he spoke in 3rd person. That's essential to being Gambit and I can't remember! Well if you're going to go see it you'll have to let me know.
Oh and if you like Deadpool you'll hate him in this. I went for Gambit my husband went for Deadpool. They really screwed up what they did with him. And now they are going to make another movie with Deadpool and they are screwing that up too. Jon is pissed. He really like that character. I have to admit he's pretty funny in the comics.
Gambit was my first fantasy crush. I got an artist to draw me a naughty pic of him...that's how Alan and I became friends. He was shocked when I said I wanted full frontal nudity and he better be hung. He told me no female had ever asked for that before. I said it's Gambit, he'd be naked, hung and proudly showing off!!))
"I am light on my feet...it's your feet I'm worried about. And if ya keep on kissin' me I'm really going to get distracted...which isn't a protest." Grinning at the other he tried to keep up with his moves. "It might take a very long time to teach me...what will we do if I have to stay in ya arms forever?"
((Why the hell do I keep on trying to give Reno a southern accent? I always type mah instead of my and ah instead of I. I'm always having to go back and fix it.))

(( Oh wow. I think I'm envious that your mom is cajun. But that's my stomach talking. It's always my stomach talking. Well... not always. I'll let you know if I see the movie before you see it again. I would hope they had him speaking in the third person! Honestly I might be worried if only men asked for a picture like that of Gambit. I'm sure he didn't mean it like that though.
Hmm... you could always explain it away that Reno's 'street' shows through when he's around Val (or at least off work)? He gets lazy, he drawls, dunno... ))
Obviously, Val was getting distracted too. It would have been all too easy to blame it on their close proximity. In a way it was true, he was always pushing people away and avoiding contact, constantly moving around and never relaxing (especially around people). It made acting normally difficult. He focused on his movements. He could be patient in a teaching situation. In this situation... "I'm sure we'd work something out. I wouldn't mind." Yes, the demon was joking, but it was true. Val could clip his wings for Reno.

((*laughing* I meant when other females ask him for naughty pics it's always from behind or they have something blocking the interesting parts. I didn't do that.
Cajun food...I love gumbo. It is one of the best inventions of all times. I hate seafood and spicy food...guess what cajun cooking mainly is! My mother is a great cook though Jon and I always go to my parents house for thanksgiving...the cooking is just better.
I like you're idea about the drawl...I think I should do that. Reno isn't as big as a goof up as everyone thinks. He has some, slight work ethic.))
After a couple moments of trying to follow Val's movements Reno leaned forward a bit and let his head rest on the others shoulder. "Ah know ah'm supposed to be dancin', yo. But ah just can't help myself. My self control around you is non existent." Of course self control and Reno were two words that usually didn't go together in the first place...

(( OH. I get it now. Blonde moment for me perhaps? xD; <3 And actually, as much as it shouldn't make sense that you don't like spicy/seafood... I live near Seattle. You'd think everyone would like shellfish and salmon. Do you know how many people around here actually do? Not that many! (I personally love the stuff but I love all kinds of food.)

Reno snuggled against Val's chest almost purring. He was really enjoying the angels softer side. Reaching up he stroked Val's cheek before pulling him into a kiss. Pulling away he grinned, "Back to my place it is...what are we going to do there?"

The angel chuckled. "Oh, I can think of a few things." Seeing where just dancing got them it was easy to see where things would lead, whether they stayed in the graveyard or went back to Reno's room.

Reno pulled away from Val reluctantly. He knew they wouldn't get anywhere if he kept on snuggling the angel. But it was so hard to let go. He had been dreaming of this for so long.... Having more self control than anyone imagined he managed it...barely. Gathering up the picnic supplies he turned to smile at the angel and offered his arm. "Shall we?"

Releasing his grip on the demon even as Reno pulled back was more difficult than Val would have imagined. Perhaps the only thing that allowed him to do so was a vague sense of horror that gave him pause as it threatened to well up. Relying on anyone for comfort required a certain relaxation of control, and once he began to let go, it was as if what little sanity he had retained all these years had also begun to slip away.
Wordlessly he moved to switch off the stereo, stealing disconcerted, ruby-eyed glances Reno's way as they put leftovers in the basket or over the hem of the blanket as they folded it. Somehow his hands remained as calm as his expression though inwardly he quaked. It was as if acquiescing to where things were heading next had brought yet another change in the angel. He hadn't meant to close up again, he was trying to go with the flow.
With the same silence he took up in one arm what Reno wasn't carrying. He nodded and laced his fingers with Reno's as the demon offered his available arm. Bringing it to his lips, he kissed the top of Reno's hand. When he dropped it, he did not actually let go but gave it a squeeze instead. "Let's go."
( Reno's not getting that arm back, no way. Val's claimed it. Omnomnom.
