Linda Lee Danvers Feh. I'd rather have a nice close-knit group of a couple dozen people who can talk and have fun with each other then some massive sprawling continuum of people just for the sake of having a big group. If I want that I'll post in Comic Discussion. You misunderstand. I'm not saying sprawling...but I think we need a couple more new guys here...I'm the kind of person where if I don't have a change in the places I hang out with my friends (either through the addition of a new friend or a change of pace/thought patterns with my old friends) I begin to feel mentally claustrophobic. Which is probably the reason I stopped watching tv in January. too much clutter, too much of the same.

Many of us have become so set in our way of thinking that we do need some fresh blood to liven up the place a bit. An active recruitment of say 5 people that would be a good choice for KAPOW may just be all that is needed.

I am the Nightmare crusader, and I wish to join a guild in witch I can talk to other super heros.
Unfortunately, this is more literate then most join requests I get. I don't actively recruit. If you want more people in the guild, it really is in your hands to recruit people. Otherwise, it's dedicated folks who find their way to us, like Kori did.
And as for 'do more things,' please PM me suggestions or feel free to start your own threads and contests.

Essentially, the contests have been either my work or someone else in the guild putting in the effort to put the contest together. If you have ideas for new activities, put it out there for people to give feedback on. Start discussion threads. Communicate with the other members. If you put some effort in, you'll get feedback back from the guild.

I remember when we first got all this started we had Guild Parties and we even had mostly our own things going on during Gaia Events. Something I'm sad to say we haven't been doing. We were different from most of the other guilds, I don't see as much of that as I used to. We are also way to eager to fly off the handle at each other. To such a degree that it has currently hurt the feeling of two people currently posting in this very thread.

We have a DAMN good guild but we can always make it "better". we may not necesarily need to add new things all together interms of sub topics...,but just need to revamp or freshen up what we already have. that being said, if I had a working pc at home, maybe I could transfer some of my animation from vhs to mpeg format and make a little theatre thread out of that. and maybe we could also have a...hmm...a made up comics thread...? just tossing some s**t around.

On the other hand, as far as bringing new people ionto the fold goes, I think the recent clean-out facilitates that fairly well, if you know of anyone to encouyrage to apply.

There hasn't been any Gaia events since Easter, when we did have our own party thread...October is the big Masquerade Ball, and Christmas is the Secret Santa exchange. This summer there haven't been any 'events' like the Gaian Olympics.

Yeah, I cleaned out about 30 or so inactives. If the name's not in the guild, it's fair game. If you have a friend who wants to be Booster Gold, there is no Booster Gold here.
