Mike tried to keep the match on the ground so he could regain some of his strength. He wrenched on the headlock, trying to wear Jed down even a little.

((We ran out of time. I gotta wrap this up))
Mike was given plenty of time on the ground to work his mat magic, but something in his eyes said that there was clearly something wrong. He was going on instinct, but instinct wasn't enough to stop a determined Jed. with about thirty seconds left, Jed had layed Mike out in the ring and climbed to the top of the cage. He had the opportunity to climb down and get the decisive 2-1 victory, but he decided more punishment was in order. He leaped off the cage and hit the Double Leg(ged) drop across Mike's neck and pulled him into a cover.
"1...2...3!" Just in time for the clock to expire.
Jed's music played as the exhausted superstars arm was raised in victory. He stood over Mike and shouted in his face, rubbing it in further before taking his leave among a chorus of booes and jeers. When he was gone trainers came into the ring to assist the still dissoriented Mike Landry. He had a far away look in his eyes and the audience could tell something was wrong. Wrestlevasion attendees applauded Mike as he took his leave, wondering if he was going to be the same ever again.
