Partisus "OK... I'll be sure to remember that. Just don't start leaning over my shoulder. I think there's a firing range somwhere in Grand Vanguard. Just be careful about the weapon restrictions." Glancing down at the sensor display, he noticed something that shouldn't have been there. As he watched, it came closer, and he made it out to be the signature of a military-grade engine a short distance ahead in the tunnels."I don't like this. I'm aborting the run and getting us out of here." He started into a hammerhead turn, neatly reversing both his velocity and heading. Just then, the carrier of the engine came around a bend in the tunnel. It was a large bipedal mech, strikingly similar in style to Nightshade, but somewhat bulkier and carrying much heavier weaponry, and it was pointing that weaponry at the F-29. The moment he saw that mech, he slammed the throttle to full and turned on the radio. While barely missing the walls of the tunnel, he sent out a distress signal."This is Partisus. Anyone nearby, I need immediate assistance. I am under attack by an unknown mech. I repeat, is anyone out there?! *end transmission* If you have any bright ideas, now's the time. "The hell?! What's going on Partisus?" Que caught a glimpse of the... thing that was out there. Surprisingly, she wasn't startled. "Oh. Just flip that little pink switch at your right; it'll sic an EMP mine on that monstrosity and take care of it real well." Que had forgotten to mention her... tinkering with the F-29. "Yeah, I think that'll do the trick."

Que_Arres "The hell?! What's going on Partisus?" Que caught a glimpse of the... thing that was out there. Surprisingly, she wasn't startled. "Oh. Just flip that little pink switch at your right; it'll sic an EMP mine on that monstrosity and take care of it real well." Que had forgotten to mention her... tinkering with the F-29. "Yeah, I think that'll do the trick." "OK, after this, I'm putting a security system on this thing..." He flips the obnoxious-looking little switch, releasing the mine which promptly shut down the systems of the mech. He didn't wait to see if it would recover, since the ship was otherwise unarmed. (at least as far as he knew...)"Thank you for that, but don't do it again. This ship has to meet the regulations for the Grand Prix, or I'll be disqualified, at the least."

Locke Trufeld With the announcements made of the Grand Prix, it seems like the first race will take place at Avantgarde. Perhaps we should go see the race live for the first race, Vicki. And if Kujaviak's also interested, we can all be there.
I'll be sending him a transmission in a few. Of course, I'll be strengthening the security in our spaces while we're at the race, as surely some people would attempt to do something on big events such as this.

*Spending a day in the Casino's Restricted Hangar, he does a few checks on the F-29, knowing that Arc probably keeps his in well enough condition, and noticing that the one designated to Partisus is being tinkered with by a young woman seen with him earlier{Guilliam:{Lord, I HOPE that thing doesn't blow up on him.}. To the southern end of the hangar are untouched high class machines, waiting for a new owner to come lay claim to them after the Grand Prix*
Guilliam: Ah..........the Class System will need to be worked out.......can't have any of our more wealthy racers getting ahead of the pack.
*The White Phantom Warship is docked at the Western section of the hangar, waiting for further orders, despite Heath's objections. From the Ship's Mech Bay, Tack comes dashing up to Guilliam*
Tack: Hey Yaeger!
Guilliam: *BONK* He hits his head on the propellant tank of his F-29, startled by Tack's sudden uproar*
Tack: Oops......
Guilliam:*He mutters to himself as he rubs his head* I swear...........why do I get stuck on a mission like this with every......*He pulls himself out of the Fighters Access Panel and brings himself to his normal voice* Right then, what's up Tack?
Tack: Heath said there was a funny lookin' woman working on Partisus' Fighter. I thought you should know.
Guilliam: *Sweatdrop* Um.............she's been at it for a while now. I noticed when I STARTED this maintenance.
Tack: Oh..........uh..............sorry then.
*A voice comes from behind Guilliam and Tack*
Jace: Such a kid.
Tack/Guilliam: GYAH! *They proceed to jump two feet in the air from Jace's sudden appearance*
Jace:...........what?
Tack: Don't DO THAT!
Jace: Not my fault you didn't notice me.
Guilliam:.............don't you two have something more PRODUCTIVE you could be doing?
Tack/Jace: No.
Guilliam: ............*Quickly points a finger to the center of the Hangar* LOOK! It's Great Mazinger!
Tack: WHERE?!*Turns around and looks all over the hangar*{<-----BIG anime fan}
Jace: Like I said.....
Guilliam: If he didn't make me bang my head into the Propellant Tank, I MIGHT feel some remorse. *Slides back into the F-29 and continues his work*

"Second, the nozzle is now adjustable. Instead of having a Standard Leza 25M for the bullet-like shots and a Leza Slicer for the accuracy discs, this one can be easily converted to either/or by a switch.
