"What exactly has happened between you two?" He let out a long sigh. "I don't know what I'm going to do, Dameon. I won't break the two of you up, but you'll need to figure something out."

Was this a pact of silence? Dameon let out his breath like a secret, slowly and reluctantly. He closed his eyes briefly and reopened them to see things clearly. And without thinking he said, "We've been seeing each other. That's all." He turned around, trying to hide the hope in his eyes. He looked at Rai. "What are you going to do about it?" he demanded, almost threateningly; it seemed that in order for this work out in his favor, Dameon would have to attempt to be the dominant male, even though Rai was older and had been teaching at Hogwarts longer.

Rai stood up. "I'm not going to do anything. I'll act like I didn't hear it. Hana won't know that I know. However, I'll be watching you. She's your responsibility now. I'll act as her Head of House, but she'll be sent to you with her problems." He paused, stepping closer to Dameon, "Unless of course, you'd rather have nothing to do with her...Now that I know."

"If you're implying that I would toy with her..." Dameon warned defensively, matching Rai's step inward, his eyes flashing, furious at the thought.

"I was implying nothing." Rai stood taller than Dameon. "This doesn't ruin what I think of you, Dameon. And it doesn't destroy the image I had of Hana. I just hope that you can take care of her."

Dameon stepped back and let his shoulders drop, the tenseness flowing out of him into the still air. He looked up at Rai. "Nah...She's in good hands, Rai. I'm not ******** with her." He paused. "Is that all?"

"Yes, unless there is something else you wish to tell me..." he walked towards the door and gripped the handle. "Speak of the devil," he murmured under his breath as he saw Hana enter the room. "You should tell her not to be so open."
"Hiya Rai!" Hana said as she practically flew up the stairs. "I just have a question for the Professor."
"Of course you do, Hana." He glanced bad at Dameon, and left.
"What was that all about?"

Dameon turned away from her for a moment, then turned back to face her. He walked towards her hurriedly and took her in his arms, kissing her lightly on her lips. He whispered in her ear, "I'll be back soon. Don't wait." He smiled at her and walked briskly out of his office, leaving her alone.

Hana gasped when Dameon pulled away from her. "Well...Okay. I'm going to wait, though..." she walked over to the couch and curled herself in a tight ball. She could feel her eyelids getting heavy, so she let them fall. She soon found herself in a deep slumber.
-An Hour Later-
Hana woke up with a start, realizing that she was alone. Slightly angry and hurt, she made her way to the Great Hall.

Dameon stormed into his classroom and walked up the stairs and into his office. He slammed the door behind him, fuming.

Hana dashed in after him, knowing he was in his office because of the booming 'SLAM' a ten year old boy would be proud of. "Dameon," she opened the door and walked in, grabbing his arm softly, "let me explain. Please, I don't want you to to get in trouble." She rested her head against his back.

He moved his arm violently away from her. "So you kiss that kid? What is he, thirteen? Wow Hana...you're going to pull s**t like that you'd better ******** pick someone good to do it with. Good kisser, huh? What else is he good at?!" He walked to the other side of the room where his trunk lay. He grabbed it and propped it up on his desk.

Hana walked over to him and spun him around. She stared at him for a moment, the slapped him. "Listen! He. Kissed. Me. I went over to him to say 'Hi!' like a normal friend would do, and he kissed me! I had been up all damn night because I'm miserable! Stop acting so immature and actually think! Do you really believe that I would be willing to give up my school life to marry you, accept that you are already supposed to marry some other woman, then go kiss some other guy! Do you really think I'm like that?" Tear were already pouring down her face and onto her chest and shoes.

"Hana...we're back at Hogwarts now. I know I swept you off your feet, I don't know how this happened, I don't know how we happened, but it has to end. We're back. We're back here. I'm supposed to get married. You still have school to do and you still have a life to live. And ok, yeah sure, maybe I'm being immature. Fine. But I'm just not willing to do this anymore." He grabbed her arms at her sides and he kissed her. Then he let go. "You can't expect for this to work."

Hana let out a chocked sob, and thrust her arms around him, clinging to him in the same fashion a baby koala might its' mother. "You can't do this to me every time we have a fight! You said you loved me! Do you know how hard it's going to be for me without you? To know your going to get married to someone else?" She buried her face in his neck.
