Tyr wandered through the woods of the world. He was doing the best he could to avoid any kind of Galbadian contact, any kind of contact at all. He didn't know what had happened and he had learned very little. He did know that all SeeD's were being hunted -- he ditched his uniform long ago and got the best clothes he could -- and that Balamb Garden had been taken over by the Galbadian soildiers. He did not know of the fate of Trabia. Were they bypassed because they didn't actually have SeeD's, just transferred potentials? Or were they taken under Galbadian command to avoid the creation of new SeeDs. He wouldn't know, not for a while.
He was nearing the city of Dollet, but chances were he wouldn't get in through the front door. He either had to find a boat or hop a train. He had a better chance with the train, but he would not be able to get a ticket. Chances were, his name was everywhere along with every SeeD in existence. Alarms would be set off the second he tried to get a ticket, ship or train. What to do...
Dollet was within sight. A plan was within reach. He could climb the cliffs and come around to the Radio Tower. It would be infested, no doubt, but there would be little suspicion of a SeeD comming around the back. He could catch a guard off-guard and steal his uniform. Even better, his gun, but it would be difficult to conceal his other weapons and he wasn't leaving them behind. His final verdict was to go with the flow.

The echoing thuds of his boots on the pathway between the railroad tracks was almost deafening as Squall continued to trudge across the Horizon Bridge. It was the only way he could get to Esthar; the only train across the bridge came from Timber, and he'd never be welcome in that city again. He would've taken a boat to Fisherman's Horizon and gotten on the train there, but he didn't feel like going all the way to Dollet first. So instead, he decided to walk.
Every few hours, he had to contend with the passing of a train on either side of the bridge. Fortunately for him, there are never two trains going in opposite directions at the same time, so he always had the option of walking on the other tracks whenever there was a train coming.
He wasn't planning to walk the whole way to Esthar. Once he reached Fisherman's Horizon, he'd take the train from there to Esthar, cutting his travel time in half.

The units are ready. He's got them in their vehicles, with others marching ahead of the vehicular troops. This will either be far too easy, or difficult as all hell. Alger plays idly with his cards as he puts his uber hummer on auto drive..everything is coordinated into the computers so the hummer will drive itself. He has nothing to worry about. He adjusts his deck some, removing a few cards here, adding some there..it would be interesting to play a game with one of his enemies. Well, that may come later. For now he's occupied with his own thoughts. He watches the road ahead as he marches his army towards Balamb town for its occupation. The citizenry shouldn't be too much trouble. He knows what will happen in a general sense. But he doesn't have to tell the men that.
What they don't know can kill them. But it's amusing to watch. After all. They're only humans.

Four SeeD squads, which has now called itself Freelance Team One, settles down in sight of the rails from Fisherman's Horizon to Esthar... Richthofen looked around the squads, his lance over his shoulder, an wondered about the rest of the SeeDs and cadets... Just then, a SeeD returns to the camp from the area around Esthar... "Report, Kaminari?" Haiiro salutes and begins... "Commander Leonheart sighted, sir. He's moving freely in Esthar. We should be able to contact him." Richthofen takes a minute to think before acting... "Send in someone else, then. You've done enough for now." "Aye, sir." Haiiro turns on his heels and breifs a random SeeD, breifing him and relaying orders. "Objective: Contact the SeeD Commander and inform him we're awaiting orders."

Sylvalee headed north from delling towards the tomb of the unknown king across the wide open plains. Her pinwheel was ready, locked into the launcher on her arm and her other hand was ready to fire the apropriate spell if needed. Sudenly three blood souls apeared around her. She quickly cast fire at one of them and broke into a run. It hit one causing it to shrivel into nothingness. THe other two chased after her, wildly thrashing through the air. Sylvalee looked behind her, then looked fowards again to see she was right infront of a large boulder. She put her hands out infront of her and pushed herself rolling over top of it. The sleeping wedigo she hopped woke up and thrashed with anger. As the blood souls flew by it grabbed them in each hand and bashed them together.
The angry wendigo gave chase to sylvalee. 'Not again' she thought. She stopped and began to summon tritoch. The purple light surrounded her, protecting her. The wendigo bashed into her, doing damage to tritoch as the energy gathered. A rift formed in the air and Tritoch burst forth. He grabbed the wendigo in his great claws and dug his beak into it. A burst of lightning surged into the wendigo as flames and ice shards closed in on the beast. With a flap of Tritoch's wings the wendgo exploded in a shower of lighting, fire and ice. Steel pipes and orbs fell to the ground on the charred grass. Syl collected them up as she knew they may be uselful for her brother.
Syl could see the tomb ahead. She ran towards it, hoping to avoid more encounters. A jelly eye flew past but ignored her. She made it to the tomb and walked up towards it.

Haiiro's walk ended abruptly when the bushes rustled... "..." He reached for his sidearm and aimed to the point of the disturbance... "Kaminari... you know the rules... only blades in a duel..." "An ambush isn't a duel, Kagemusha..." "Such a... vulgar word... 'ambush'... I merely waited for you to cross the area." "So... a duel is what you want? No catching up?" "Hmph... I'm just glad to see you didn't abandon your blade...But then again, are you still competent?" Haiiro responds by laying down the firearms and draws his own blade... "Catch." He throws another blade to Haiiro who catches it. Haiiro takes a stance while another figure dressed similar to Haiiro... but armored. "No blood need be drawn... Just a spar. To see if you still have any skill." Kage hefted his twin yari, then spun it dramitcally. "Drama queen..." "Have at thee..."

Haiiro charges Kagemusha, met by an end of the twin yari. Parries, faints, dodges, all your essential combat techniques are poured into this skirmish... (i.e., too lazy to provide detail)
Kagemusha thrusts the end of the yari at Haiiro only for it to be intercepted by another polearm...
"Haiiro, if your done playing around, that ENN fanservice correspondant is reporting renewed fighting in Balamb. We should return..."
Haiiro turns to see Richthofen standing there, unable to guage how long he was there... "Aye, sir."
"Your lil' friend can follow if he wants, but are on a tight schedule, and can't exactly be held responible for him... I'm sure he understands. Move out, double time, SeeD. Homebase security is the main priority."
As the SeeDs turn to leave, Haiiro turns back. You probably know where we are going. Balamb Garden. Good place for a skills test. I know you're dying to try some of the Shadow skills..."

The five SeeD squads of the Esthar Operations group board their transports, plus one... The craft depart and head toward Balamb, full speed ahead...
