Yeah, I just barely go over cost of making the books so I can cover the cost of shipping a little bit x.o I just want to get the money back for creating the books (I am so extremely in the hole it's not funny) .. um not sure how much £9 translates to in American .. -head tilts- I lost track when the economy freaked out heh -coughs- but being able to control the cost in Lulu is definitely a big plus
I think I make under a dollar, like between 40 and 80 cents, per book sold

How many copies have you sold?
Eee, I'm meeting an author Monday so hopefully she'll give me tips on publishing. xD

Yeah,
I haven't been in the mood..
Right now seeing xxxHolic and Ghost Hunt (maybe the Grudge too) would get me back in the mood for the book I want to do..

I'm done covering for others at work and have a 'long' weekend so maybe I can write again, finally, yay!
Heh with feedback.. it's mixed, but I haven't had all that much ..
One is I definitely need editing xD; with the volumes of writing I go through in one sitting sometimes my clarity with grammar gets really messed up lol
Member Status for me is still messed up D= It's better than it was between Sept and Jan, but that portion of time is still all scrambled.. I want to fix it so bad, but I can't edit others posts >.o

Well as I keep trying to explain, the updates are all put up in the wrong places .. for a while everything was just thrown up on the end so the dates are all scrambled (and some are just plain missing)
I put the correct version in here on the first page of my journal

Hmm well it wasn't me xD I don't know who was updating before me so I will go and sort it out.
So what made you go into self publishing?
Edit: Okayyy I sorted it out (hopefully) if you want to go and check if everything is okay. Someone really messed that up!

Heh yeah I've been trying to get it fixed for months Dx
But thank you thank you thank you it's fixed ...
I went into self publishing because I wanted to be able to control my work .. aka not get my works completely rewritten by editors/publishers who didn't 'want' something different or quirky .. but it costs more than it returns so @.o I'm seriously in trouble from going down that road so many times

Yeah, editors do tend to cost so yeah...I haven't got the funds at the moment to go down that path.

Heh yes, they do.. but if you're lucky you can find someone that's willing to bend for lower .. @.o it really builds up though after a while
But but I got the collection of Drag Shergi Mysteries 1-4 returned .. It's 250 pages ... 'These Aren't Angels' is the title .. I'm selling it for 2x the price of the original.. aka $15.00 instead of the $7.50-8.00 per book
It's cumulatively less costly to publish a medium sized book than a short or long one .. tch -headdesk-

Damn, the way my story is going, it's going to be massive.
I will try and get mine done by a publisher but if not, self publishing doesn't matter to me. xD

lol xD you can always self-publish then have it be picked up later by a publisher -shrug-
But heh yes, massive -nods- I have .. many others that are like that .. and I pushed them to the back to do these shorter books.. I have so many @.o crazy
