Akari saw that they ended up in Nara park which made her uneasy for some reason, as if she was ruining her and Kaito's moment by being here with Yuuji. She stared ahead thoughtfully, concentrating on her jogging. Truthfully this was something she did alone usually so she wasn't used to the companionship, but it was nice. She slows down the pace a bit so she can look at Yuuji, without the worry of running into a tree or something. She smiles at him, seeing that he had a smile on his face. "Enjoying the jog I see." She says as she keeps it at a steady pace.
She let them jog a bit as her mind drifted back to when he had held her hand in the hotel and she stared forward again, thinking. This next conversation they were about to have, may not be pleasant but it would get a lot off of her chest. Yuuji had helped Hades hurt her and...she stopped suddenly and stared forward, no longer jogging and just standing there, placing a hand over her heart. Shaking a bit, she had completely forgotten about this and she looks at Yuuji seeing if he had stopped. "Did you know that Kaito shot that doppleganger of me...." She says calmly and quietly, now staring down at the hand on her chest. At this point she could've probably started yelling at him. The pain of what had happened returned to her but she didn't waiver much, Hades's order still being in affect. Yuuji had caused her so much pain that day and other days but...the pain of death was nothing to be compared with.

Hearing Akari, say he was enjoying the jog, "You could say that," he says with his smile still on his face. Glancing at her he also saw her smile which only helped lighten his mood. "I am amazed I have been able to keep up with you. I thought that half way here, I would be cradled in your arms, my girly legs no longer fucntioning."
They had conitnued on in silence, a comfortable silence, at least for Yuuji. Until he heard the words that came out of Akari's mouth. he stopped dead in his tracks as he did in fact remember the event vividly. It had been one of the many memories that has haunted him ever since he became aware of his fondness of Akari. He hated the fact that she didn't yell it or get angry about it. The calm manner in which she spoke it only enchanced the icy grip he felt on his heart. Turning to face her, because he did move a little ahead as she slowed down and eventually stopped.
"I do." Yuuji says solemnly. He wanted to look away in shame and anger at his stupidity, but he refused to run from this and if he truly wanted a chance to be with Akari, then this situation needed to happen. "I know I could apologize, easily a thousand times over, and yet I know that it isn't enough. I have tried to forget, but that pain that I have caused you is always with me. It will always be with me. My penance for hurting you." Yuuji continues to look at her, trying to will away the tears that began coming to him. Yuuji was already fearing for the worse, but his never left Akari's showing how truly sorry he was. There was more to be said, but he wanted to hear a response from Akari. Depending on what she said would determine if there was anything left to be said by him.

Akari looks up at him, seeing that he truly seemed sorry. She just stares into his eyes, mentally judging him as he spoke. No anger showed on her face, just a calm expression. "Death...it's not fun to experience." She says quietly, very solemn about it. Her gaze never leaves him, wanting to see how he was taking all of this. At least he was showing remorse, if he hadn't she may have just given up hope.
Akari wasn't going to stop there though. There was more to be said, lots more. "You watched as I was punished, laughing the whole time, even helping punish me." Her voice didn't falter, wanting to get all of this out. "Your wolves attacked me..." She had to stop so she could look at him. There were other things that she could talk about, but bringing up Kaito was something she didn't want to do. That wouldn't help at all. Instead she wanted to keep this completely between her and Yuuji. Their friendship depended on this conversation. Shaking her head she places her hands on her shoulders and starts to walk down the path, continuing their walk. If it hadn't been for the calm order she might have had a panick attack. "I should be dead." She said softly, not sure if he could hear.

Yuuji listened to all the indcidents that Akari brought up, each one was a hammer blow to the nail piercing his heart. Each one creating agonizing pain, that wracked him to his very soul. "No. Death is not a fun experience." Yuuji says softly as he returned her gaze. "I am truly sorry, that you had to experience it." Reaching to his pocket, he pulls out a card. "I have never experienced it. But for me to make it up to you I will. With a quick motion the card becomes a katana. It was rather ornate as the scabbard was a fine ivory the Saito family crest traced out in fine gold at the top.
Moving quickly in front of her, Yuuji stops Akari in her path. Getting down on both knees, Yuuji offers the sword to her. Tears streaming down his face. "I am truly sorry to have been the source of so much pain and misery in your life. I suppose it was fine karma that brought me to this point. I care for you deeply and seeing the pain that I caused you, wrenches my heart." He continued to look down, though he wanted to look at her so badly. "Please end my miserable life. It is not worthy enough to be in your presence. I will take death so you may have peace." Yuuji was visibly shaking as he cried almost completely uncontrollably.

Akari was utterly shocked at Yuuji's actions. All she could do was stare as he now stood in front of her, asking her to take his life. She did the only thing that she could think to do. With a blank expression she raises her hand and slaps him across the face, not even taking the sword. Tears started to form in her eyes as she just stared at him with a frown."You think that will make me feel better?" She asks, keeping her composure.
Akari grabs him by his shoulders and forces him to stand, then grabbing his chin so he is forced to look at her. "Where on earth do you get the idea that it would make me feel better?" She says, appalled by the fact that he would want her to do something so horrific to him. "Taking your life would make me feel worse..." She lets go of his chin and quickly finds herself wrapping her arms around him, resting her face in his shoulder. Yuuji meant a lot to her now and he had made so much progress. Seeing him cry pained her, but she also couldn't help but feel some joy from it. He was feeling these emotions and it was good for him. No one should get away with what he had done to her and Kaito.
With him still in her embrace she rocks him soothingly back and forth, trying to comfort him in some way. The sword had probably fallen onto the ground at this point, having forced him to stand so quickly. The tears rolled down her cheeks as well now, some from sadness and some from some sort of sick happiness. "You're too important to me." She says softly, her words slightly muffled from his shirt. Akari to help Yuuji become a better person. Somehow in a weird twist of events he had become her friend and she wanted to help him as much as possible. The two were very much a like and if anything happened to him now...she didnt know what she would do.

Yuuji was stunned by the slap, normally if anyone had done such a thing to him he would retaliate, however he wanted it and felt he deserved it. The tears in her eyes only made Yuuji more sad an deepened his state of self loathing. He couldn't answer her his guilt had ravaged his will and made it practically impossible for him to do anything but take it.
When he was forced back onto his feet, Yuuji still couldn't bear to look Akari in the face anymore. He tried to shake his head free as she forced him to look at her. His eyes were filled with tears as she couldn't help. but look at the pain in Akari's eyes twisting the emotinal dagger that was already stuck in him. Yuuji tried to answer but couldn't find any words, knowing that he really chose the cowards way out. A look of surprise appears on his face, as Akari wraps her arms around him and plants her face into his shoulder. He slowly wraps his arms around her as well and squeezes gently hoping that he could offer her some measure of comfort after all the pain he had caused her.
One of Yuuji's hands gently stroked her hair in a soothing manner as they rocked back in forth. Yuuji smiled hearing Akari say he was important to her. Not quite the words he really wanted to hear, but was happy that she held him in that regard. "You are important to me as well. I want to make sure that I am never the one to hurt you again. I will take my own life, before I ever raise my hand against you. You have my word. Reaching into his pockets Yuuji pulls out another handkerchief and separates himslef from Akari as he tenderly wipes her eyes. "Please stop crying." Yuuji says, though its hard to ask someone to stop crying while the asker is also crying. "or I don't think I'll be able to. And then we will be here all day sad sorry messes." He smiled through his tears, "Though if I had to spend a day crying, I am gals it is with you." He pulls her back into the hug as a fresh wave of emotion takes him and he cries on her shoulder.

Akari nuzzled his shoulder, force of a habit with her hair being stroked. She enjoyed the touch and feel of it but it was done comfortingly. Akari shakes her head when he said he would take his own life before striking her again. "Don't say that...I wouldn't want you to die." He pulled out another handkerchief and seperates them, wiping her eyes. It was kind of funny to see the two of them crying. Normally two 'tough' people, they were now crying in each other's arms, soothing each other. "I'm glad we talked..." She says as he pulls her back into the hug.
The talk didn't change the past, but it helped pave the future of their friendship. They could move on now it seemed from that. He cries into her shoulder and she continues to rock him back and forth, holding him and making comforting movements like rubbing his back or stroking his hair. "No more crying...you're girly enough with those legs of yours." She says softly, trying to tease him and change the mood a bit. Not that she didn't mind having a tender moment, she just wanted to see him happy and know that they could be friends still.

Yuuji was feeling a lot better now as he cried on Akari's shoulder, her attempts at soothing him were very welcome. Hearing Akari's joke Yuuji laughs as he lifts his head off her shoulder's. Wiping his more recent tears with his arm, his laugh turns into a playful grin. "I am sorry, your broad shoulders provide such a good place to rest my head on, that I needed to find a reason to put my head down." He was feeling much better now. Yuuji felt they could now move forward having dealt with the past. "So do you want to continue jogging or should we call it here?" Although he asked the question, Yuuji hoped that this wasn't the end. He hoped that Akari would like to continue with their jog.

Akari laughs lightly at his joke and she places her hands on either side of his face again. "Then let me wipe away those tears with my man hands." She says jokingly as she takes her thumbs and with one stroke moves them across his cheeks softly, removing the tears. This calmness thing was doing her some good. If she hadn't been calm she wasn't sure if she would've had it in her to stay friends with Yuuji and see that he was truly sorry.
Now that she and possibly Yuuji were emotionally drained, she wasn't really up to much more jogging, but she could go for a walk. Realizing her hands were still on the sides of his face she lowers them gently until they were placed on his shoulders. Pulling him closer she hugs him again, moving her hands to his back. "Let's just walk for a while." She says, holding him, Even if her and Yuuji would never be able to experience anything more physically rewarding than a hug, it would have to do. She stilll had to have her talk with Kaito but she and he might just have to do that over lunch instead. It worried her what her talk with him might lead to.

Yuuji blushes as Akari places her hands to the side of his face and wipes the tears away with her 'man hands'. Looking into her eyes and smiling, Yuuji says softly, "They aren't that manly, just compared to my girly body they appear to be overly large." This kind of closeness was killing him, he so wanted to kiss her. He wanted to express his feelings for her neatly packaged in a passionate kiss.
In fact that is what it would have appeared to have done, but Akari removes her hands from his face and wraps it around him. "Sure a walk is a good idea. I think my crying and my girl-like constitution, have made me too weak to jog. Though you are probably are still raring to go, such a gentleman escorting a lady despite not getting enough exercise." Yuuji hoped that soon the right opportunity to kiss Akari would come. If or when it came he planned on expressing everything he felt for her. It would be an emotional gamble, but maybe it would pay off for him. He didn't want to think about what would happen if it failed though. Yuuji boldly takes her hand in his and walks with her. Just smiling at how much better he felt after expressing all the emotions he just had. He hoped Akari was feeling better too.

She had blushed as well, seeing that Yuuji had and she smiles warmly at him. He spoke and Akari laughs as he makes fun of her and herself. Their descriptions were actually pretty false, but it was funny to say the least. "Lucky for you, size isn't everything." She says jokingly, hinting at something a bit more crude. This was one reason why she liked Yuuji, she could joke around like that with him.
After she had hugged him he kept making fun of the two and she just shakes her head, grinning. While they walked he took her hand and Akari blinked a bit, confused by his action to hold her hand. Hesistantly she holds his as well, but is sure to only cup their hands together, not intertwine their fingers. For awhile she could think in her head what it would like to be with Yuuji instead. The thought of them together wasn't bad, it was actually really nice...but...it was the thought of not being with Kaito and worse, hurting Kaito, that pained her. "Hm..." She stares ahead thinking. "Well, other than banter about how manly I am and how freakishly girlish you are, anything you want to talk about?" She turns her head to look at him with the same smile on her face.

Yuuji heard Akari's comment on 'size' in a rather crude manner, though Yuuji had understood exactly what she meant. "Well, lucky for me I don't have to worry about size. Even if it did matter." He smiles a dirty smile as he looks at Akari playfully.
Yuuji smiles as Akari took his hand and held it as well. It was nice and comforting, but not as far as Yuuji would have liked it to be. He looks up at Akari and gazes into her eyes, as she asks her question. His heart began thumping in his chest."Was this the moment? The moment that, he admitted his feelings to her." His heart beat faster and faster, louder and louder as Yuuji was unsure about what to say. His face flushed as he averted his eyes to the ground. "Akari, I..." Yuuji was on the verge of his confession, but the words he longed to say didn't come as if they were lodged in his throat. "...I am sorry." Yuuji releases Akari's hand and begins to run away. "I am such a coward. I don't deserve to have chance with her." Even though having cried earlier, Yuuji was a little surprised to feel a lone tear racing down his cheek.

Akari blushed brightly at Yuuji's size comment. That was an image she would have stuck in her head for awhile. Not that she minded thinking about Yuuji standing before her naked. Kaito might have her soul but he didn't have her imagination. That is where she could have all of her fantasies play out in her head.
Akari watched Yuuji act strangely as they walked, waiting for his response. She stared at him, anticipating a response when he apologized and made a run for it. "Yuuji!" She shouts as she runs off. Groaning she chases after him. Akari wasn't going to let him just leave like that, feeling upset. Using her ki she catches up to him and goes out to reach for him, only to trip on a stray rock, sending her falling forward onto Yuuji. Grabbing onto him tightly she flips them so he protects him from the fall. Landing on the ground she makes a pained face as her body scrapes along the ground, Yuuji on top of her.

Yuuji heard Akari call out his name, every fiber of his being wanted, to turn around and resond to her. He forced himself onward, trying run his fastest, which wasn't quite fast enough as Akari caught up to him pretty easily. Yuuji turns as he hears a gasp of surprise as Kari trips on a rock catapulting herself into him. Yuuji braced himself as he was prepared to take the fall, his eyes closing. The darkness swirled around him and he found it very interesting that he felt no impact. His eyes open and he is looking down at Akari. He grimaces as he sees the look of pain on her face. "Why did you do that? Why did you hurt yourself for me?" Yuuji says as tears came to his face. No one had ever willingly put themselves in harms way for Yuuji, except for his mother. "You truly are making me feel like a girl." Yuuji says smiling as his tears drip down his chin. "Are you okay? You know you didn't need to do that dummy." Yuuji waited for a reply to his earlier question though his feelings were beginning to build up again.

Akari feels the back of her head. There was no bleeding or anything but she had hit it slightly as she groaned. Looking at Yuuji she smiles weakly at his joke. "You look like a girl...stop your crying." She says warmly, not liking to see his tears. He had asked her why he had done that and she just looks at him. "Because it was my fault, and I dont want to see you hurt." She says, the answer being simple. She was feeling a bit dizzy and hurt as she had hit the ground hard but other than that she was fine. The look on her face was still a tad pained.
