"True, true. Sajar is at the Nest right now, and Rae is out searching for Asteil. Which one would you care to tangle with, Edmund?" Mordred offered, considering. Rae was undoubtedly the more volatile of the pair, and the more unpredictable. But Sage was also the the one who held onto the cards in this operation, and the one who was directing it. Either one would be a formidable threat to take on.

Which one... Sajar meant wordplay, and while Edmund had little doubt he could dom inate any conversation with him, asking Mordred to deal with Sage would likely induce headaches or irritation in him, either of which were welcome. Rae, on the other hand, was the puzzle. Not to mention, he was the one actively pursuing Asteil. To take into consideration with that, however, was the fact that Edmund interrupting Rae's search would likely be a dead giveaway, while Mordred's interruption could lead to a very different kind of dead.
"Sajar, I believe," he decided finally. "I fear keeping up with a search might be... tiresome."

"A wise decision for both of us, I think, my dear Edmund," Mordred's smile widened a touch before the angel produced a shining key the same color as his shimmering wings. "This will get you into anywhere in the Nest with little or no questions, provided Seishirou isn't around," War explained as he passed the glinting key to the coon. "You've met our little conspirator before, haven't you?"

Edmund's smile dimmed somewhat in observed humility, "'Met' might not be the word," he said dryly, accepting the key with a gracious turn of hand. "The last time I 'met' either brother was some good nine years past. They might... not recognize me."

"All the better," Mordred smiled. "All the better. I'm sure you'll find a way to contact me should you discover anything of import," the angel looked at the coon for a long, long moment-- not quite studying him, but not quite just staring either. "And I suppose I should be off to catch that little brat before he does anything extraordinarly stupid."

"Good hunting, my lord," Edmund wished, returning the look in perfect mirror. Well, perhaps not quite so perfect. There was much about the angel he didn't quite fathom, though he was sure he understood the surface.

"And the same to you, my dear Edmund." Slipping out the front door, Mordred took off into the air in search of the missing demon and the rogue coon.

Tsuzuki didn't particularly like answering the phone. For one thing, it often required moving from wherever he was to pick it up. On the rare occurrences he was right next to the phone to do the picking-up bit, the individual on the other side was almost always cranky, and tended to blame their crankiness on him.
Using only received phone calls as a measure, Tsuzuki could rightfully say that no one at the Townhouse made good lasting impressions on anyone else.
So someone else was going to have to pick it up.

That just wasn't fair! Why wasn't the answering machine kicking in? Why hadn't someone else answered in person? Not cool. Not cool at all.

"Fine!" Tsuzuki announced to the world at large, picking up the phone and repeating the monosyllabic indignation, "Fine!"
"And before you start, I'm sorry he or she isn't here, but I'm the only one interested in answering phone calls! The culprit is not here and will not be returning for at least a year! Please stop bothering us!"

A long silence followed Tsuzuki's outburst before a mildly annoyed-- and familiar-- sigh drifted across the line. "Tsuzuki-san, I have a mission for you."

"You--you what?" Tsuzuki, who had not been finished being indignant and incredulous, managed to half shout again, though his mood was trailing more towards wonderment at the statement. "Wait... you what?..."
