"Well..." she shifted slightly. "We never really spent a lot of time around them growing up. I always thought it was due to our mother and her family. Magic and machinery are diametrically opposed..."
"It's magic that's the root of this problem," Quicksilver said quietly knocking on the door. "They're the only ones who can help us."

Dragon frowned again "But... they're still your family..."
Godric looked up at the knock "Well.. at least this one sounds less urgent.." And went to open the door, blinking in surprise and smiled "Quicksilver, Phoenix and Gear! How nice to see you!" He observed them carefully and ushered them inside "Is something wrong?"

"Steelfire is family as well," Phoenix whispered.
"Yeah..." Quicksilver said glancing around as they entered. "We have a bit of a problem and we were really hoping you and grandfather Sal could help us with it..."

Dragon blinked "Oh yeah.. good point.."
Godric frowned "Alright have a seat and I'll get Sal... he's in his lab." He opened a door and called down "Sal! You need to come up here!"
"Is it Ro again?"
"No.. three of out grandchildren are here... they seem to have a problem."
Sal emerged from the door and glanced at them worriedly "Whats wrong? Did something happen to your father or mother?"

"No, they're fine," Quicksilver glancing at the others. "This isn't really something I know very much about but what can be done for someone who's mind has been affected by some sort of potion?"

Sal frowned "Affected in what way?"
Gear shifted uncomfortably "Making them think totally differently..."
"That sounds like mind control or liquid Imperious... dark magic. Its curable though with that right potions.."
Godric frowned "Who's affected?"

"Steel's been using something on Gear," Quicksilver said looking at his brother.
"Aunt Celie must have helped her with it," Phoenix added quietly.

Sal's eyes harden and he cursed under his breath, moving to examine Gear.
Godric bit his lip "Celie worked to hurt you guys too..." he sighed "We're really going to have to find her..."
Gear watched his grandfather warily "I have to take more potions?"
"Unfortunately yes... no spells have been developed to cure something like this." He glanced at Quicksilver and Phoenix "How long has he been under the influence of these potions?"

"A while..." Quicksilver said quietly. "Since he was a teen at least. But you can fix it, right?"
Phoenix looked at grandfather Godric, "What do you mean 'you guys too'?"

Sal frowned "He'll need more then to counteract the potion and soothe the mind into accepting what it true again. It might be a long process.. we don't want to damage him.." He gave Quicksilver a smile "I can fix him.. don't worry."
Godric sighed "Celie helped another pony, our old friend Helga, attack out other friend Rowena and her children. Her son Erian is permanently scared from Celie herself.."

Quicksilver gave him a shaky nod and glanced back to Gear, "See, you'll be alright."
Phoenix gasped, "But why would she..."

Gear nodded "Ok... what now Grandfather?"
Sal sighed "You'll have to stay with us awhile until I'm sure you're fully recovered. Do you think your sister will try this again?"
Godric shrugged sadly "I wish I knew..."

"Hmm.. I'll try to develop a protection potion as well... so this doesn't happen again."
Godric gave a weak smile "Its okay... I'm just glad she hasn't killed anyone. After Sal takes care of Gear we're going to track her down and see if we can deal with this.."
