1. It's not live: it's an improv show. 2. The bloopers either have swearing or references that the sensors think would be found offensive.

From what I gather, they actually tape a couple episodes in one session, and it's not always in order. For example, when they filmed the introduction for one episode, they had to redo it because a person behind Drew was sleeping (they filmed that part later in the taping session).

For one of my classes, as a get-to-know-each-other exercise, we were asked questions. A classmate asked me what person, dead or alive, I'd like to meet. Not knowing what to say, I chose Drew Carey, or anyone on Whose Line. blaugh
