Wafiya giggled a bit at how Veera noticed her excitement. She came across the thought that she could quite possibly be the youngest one there.
James was in his bedroom starting to pack. He would leave a few days early than planned to arrive at the Moon Temple.
((Jeez, i've got writers block again! I'm not so used to playing guys in role plays so maybe that's why...))

Cain blinked and looked away from Faye, following everyone's attention across the room to the Air Princess. It was if the world had somehow stopped and all attention had turned itself to the small group of Princesses. "Why do I have the most awful feeling that something bad is about to happen?" He asked outloud, but he couldn't keep an amused chickle out of his voice.

A bright smile appeared on Lasarina's face and she looked up from her plate to turn to most friendly smile that had ever existed onto Clarissa, but when her eyes connected with the Air Princess's eyes there was an angry fire lit behind her quite devious looking eyes. "Oh, I've been great," She chirped, but there was a sarcastic edge to her voice. Lasarina picked up a tea cup and took a sip. "Just been learning how to kill people with tea cups. How've you been?" The smile on her face dropped and turned to a smirk.

Veera glanced up momentarily at the overly loud air princess, and frowned. She could already sense the rather unpleasent aura that was starting to form, and she tapped the table worriedly. She caught Koreck's eye, and recieved the most innocent look, causing her to glare harshly back. She then looked back at the princesses, noting the tension that seemed to be developing among them as well.
"This isn't promising to end well..." the high priestess sighed, shaking her head tiredly.

WHY is it that somehow, I end up making the character that causes trouble for my other charcter? I did this before in that other thread you made, Gemmetra, and I've done this at least one time before that. Gosh, it's become a weird habit! xd ))
Violet merely had to stop herself from sliding down her seat and disappearing from view, although that rock to crawl under sounded reeeally good right now.
Clarissa merely ignored the girl's tone; Lasarina WAS always slightly more blunt than Violet. "Useful talent, I'm sure." she said, keeping her voice even, as she began putting food on her plate and beginning to eat. Although it was mainly salad adn some fruit.
"Ah, watching the wasteline; don't want to end up a chubby princess." she chuckled. "Not that either of you have to worry about it, I'm sure." she nodded, glancing at both ladies' plates for a moment before going back to hers.
At these words, Violet looked down at her plate; at start it had had quite a bit of food on it, which alot of it had been eaten already. But then, she also noticed that she glanced at Lasarina's plate as well. Oh, she did NOT do that! CMON now! Neither one of them had any weight issues! Even if they did, at least tehy weren't starving themselves.
Deciding not to let Lasarina have to fight battles for her, Violet decided to try a comeback, although it had a 99% chance of sounding reeeally lame. Why burden her new friend, anyways? "No, I wouldn't say so; I've usually had problems being underweight. But either way I usually don't think about it; as a Princess I figure there are better things to be worrying about other than my own appearance, and even if I did I'd pull it through correctly. There are better things to spend time on looking at with obesrvance: matters of the Realm, the people and wildlife, stuff like that." she said, and it killed her to not let the smile threating to come on her face do so.
Yep, totally lame, but at least she got a shocked look then a silence from Clarissa. OH YEAH! WHAT NOW? She turned back to her friend, begging for normallcy to come back. "I've also been working on finishing reading a biography book on Maxwell Glemmingson. Interesting fellow; he was one of the first ever to work on teleportation devices, and also became one of the first Moon realm leaders. He led in an interesting life, and he's still alive and about today, only alot older, obviously." she said trying to start conversation again.
Clarissa went back to her food, surprised that the girl had actually fought back, although an OBVIOUSLY lame attempt. She'd have to think of something later; after all, they had quite awhile since love cannot be rushed by Lady Faye.

Lasarina had to work very hard not to smile at Violet, because lame attempt or not, it was a very good comeback. "Really? Maybe after you read the book you can go talk to him yourself." She suggested, smiling now. Mentally she pretended that Violet and herself were raising a wall, blocking out Clarissa. They would block her from the conversation just by ignoring her, and hopefully she would just take the hint and go bug someone else.

"I was debating on doing that as well, but there are many who've already tried doing so and the man wouldn't say a word. Well, other than 'The whole point of the biography was for you folks to NOT come here and ask questions!' Ironcally correct, but still a bit rude. So probably wouldn't happen, though I've been working on questions anyways." Violet answered with a chuckle.
Go ahead and chuckle to yourself, you little twirp. I'll get you for that later. Clarissa thought to heself, but remained quiet and ate.
Seeing now that the issue was gone for the moment, Evan turned back to the group. "Well, not as bad as I feared, but I doubt it'll be over that quick. We usually don't have anyone we downright hate between Kingdoms, but Violet and Clarissa are like mortal enemies, even though the Air and Earth Kingdom have good ties with each other. Watch out if those two get into an actual arguement; I'd hate to see how that turns out." Evan explained to Faye. He wasn't worried just for Violet, but if she actually did lose her temper like she did one time long ago, Clarissa better darn well fear for her life.

Lasarina only smiled sweetly at her new best friend, imagining the wall growing taller. "I'm sure you can come with some questions so good that he didn't even think they'd ever be asked and he'll have to answer from sheer shock," She said, voice full of confidence, and then a devious little thought crossed her mind as she remembered something, and she glanced at Clarissa from the corner of her eye and smirked broadly. "You're not the only one who's been doing some reading..." She said crypticlly, reaching around to pull a small back pack off that she'd had strapped between her wings.
The fire princess reached in and pulled out a small paperback book, but it was thick. "I like learning about things sometimes, but I read romance/mystery novels in my downtime between learning how to rule and completing my weapons training. I'm trying to break last years record of 361 books." Lasarina explained, her smirk now obvious. "Last year I could only get through a 400 page book a day, but so far I've been knocking them out at two a day," Now she turned that smirk to Clarissa, and the reason for it was obvious. "How many books have you read so far?" She asked with a raise of the eyebrow that suggested the other princess was either illiterate or too dumb to make it through one page.

Violet nodded to herself at the possibility of trying out the Glemmingson questions; she'd have to make sure they were super awesome before giving something like that a shot.
However, as she listened amazed at Lasarina's book reading skills, at the very beginning of her first sentence on hte subjed did Violet realize where this was going. The fire princess then asked the air princess a question on reading. Strange, this girl was doing quite alot to make up for lost time between she and Violet; it was actually quite noble.
Clarissa made a second mental note to get back at the fire princess as well before turning to answer the question the two were probably both DYING to know.
"Well, as you can both imainge, I'm not exactly a fellow bookworm who gets her nose stapled into some text for days on end. However, this doesn't mean I don't have a hobby." she said, and with these words, took out a piece of ice out of hte cup. Strong enough shape.
"Well, two I suppose. I usually study chemstry and it's deadliest combinations, as well as on the other side of seriousness, magic tricks and illusions." she answered, before pulling out a small bag and putting the ice in it.

A small streak of curiosity almost tempted Lasarina to ask what Clarissa was going to do with an ice cube, but it wasn't that hard to fight the urge off; after all, it was only a slight twinge. "Aw, how sweet of you... You're learning how to make poisons and then slip them into peoples drinks," She cooed sarcasticall, though in truth that was actually what she was thinking and she was more than a little bit worried if it was the case. "Remind me to not eat or drink anything after you've been in the room." She added in a more normal sarcastic voice, despite the fact she was speaking the truth, and in added emphasis she pushed her plate away.

Clarissa kept her smile sweet, but her glare could kill a person with it's deadliness.
"Ah, that'd be FAR too obvious for me to try and pull off, dearie. Besides, there are WAY too many factors that could butt in that could poison the wrong fool. There's more than one way to skin a cat, but it needs to be an effective one." The girl answered simply, before a servant came up and whipsered something in her ear. Nodding she got up and nodded to ehr father, indicating that the package for him had arrived and she was to retrieve it.
As she passed by, she let her hand slide enough to knock over Violet's fork. Seeing the girl go to retrieve it, she whispered into the ear of hte fire princess quickly:
"Oh, and if I were you, I'd watch out, not just for YOUR safetly; Tehe."
With a small giggle she left, just as Violet got back up from getting her fork, rubbing it with a napkin.

Wafiya kept eating but couldn't help but smile at Lasarina and Clarissa going back and forth. Things were getting pretty interesting. Wafiya instantly wiped that smile off her face and focused on her dinner.

It took all of her willpower not to let the smirk slip off of her face, but it was still rather clear in her eyes that she was extreamely upset and distraught. "Well, at least we're free of her for awhile." Lasarina laughed, but it was weak. In her mind she could hear her father's voice suddenly: 'Never allow anyone to ever find a weakness on you, don't even allow anyone to see who you care about. The moment they know how they can hurt you the worst; they will.'
At the thought she frowned and the shields she'd let down came back up Even if it hurt Violet, the Fire Princess decided that she would push her away. It seemed as if she had an enemy now, and to protect her new friend she would have to hurt her. It made her head feel a little funny to think about hurting people to save them from hurt, but it was a plan and a plan was what she needed. Now, if only Lasarina could figure out how to make herself all sarcastic towards Violet again...

Cain merely nodded his head in agreement, he could definately agree with hating Clarissa. "I just hope she doesn't piss of Lasarina, I don't know how scary Violet is when she's angry because I've never seen it, but I do know that when my sister is mad people have a tendancy to turn into black smudges on the carpet."
