I don't get to hear a lot of different languages to be able to compare them. And the ones I do hear, I don't even know what they are.

I think the prettiest language is Russian, actually. It sounds a bit harsh, but it has an endearing quality to it. I can't really put my finger on it, though.

Of the languages I've actually heard spoken, I think I actually really like Portuguese. It looks like a cross between Spanish and French (to me, anyway), and it sounds fluid overall (like French), but has the strongly accented overtones of Spanish. And sorry if that made no sense but it makes sense in my head razz
Unfortunately, all I really know in Portuguese is what I got out of Orson Scott Card books and got my Brazilian friend to help me pronounce. I've heard her speaking with her grandmother, that's wehre I've really heard it rolleyes
I'm not really sure otherwise; I think Arabic and [handwritten] Russian both look pretty, but I've never heard either of them spoken much. sweatdrop

Spanish because it's the language of sex, Italian cause it's so romantic, and French because it's myterious for those who don't understand it.

French is definitely pretty. I really like Italian, too. I think Korean is beautiful, and songs in Japanese are gorgeous. For some reason I fancy Romanian, as well. sweatdrop

Romanian. That is the prettiest language to me. 2nd is Russian. There's just something about slavic sounding languages that makes me all giddy inside! ^_^
As for the coolest, I'd have to say German and/or Russian again. I've just recently started learning German, but I'm already infatuated with it. This is partialy because it's my "father" tongue if you will. My family is of German decent, and learning German just feels like I'm connecting wiht my roots.

Japanese is one of my faves.
But each language depends on who's speaking them and in what tone they are benig used.
Like sometimes Japanese sounds annoying and italian can sound too angry. But italian is beautiful and japanese tends to have a cutesy tone to it.
It differs from person to person and who is speaking it. Rate Koke.

I think Russian, Japanese, and Basque are all beautiful languages.. and Tagalog, Portugese, and Korean.. X3 I think French is nice sounding too, which is why I started learning it (among the options of either that, or: german, spanish, or latin) but I don't like it as much as I used to. :/
