Well, nuts are not fruit. They're... well, nuts. But yes, there are a great many fruits, like apples. Each one unique. But even apples, when prepared differently can have vastly different tastes. This.. is what I wanted to show you. That life is full of experiences if you only try them. Some you will like, some you will not. But all of them are individual, and have a feeling, a taste all their own. That's very important, I think.
*Alex smiled warmly at Cora*
Are you ready for the next experience?

:::She spoons up the last few bites of her fruit salad and nods happily. She was starting to feel a bit full, but she couldn't resist another try at something:::

*Alex went back in the kitchen and came back out with two cesserole dishes and a bowl. He named each one as he put them down. First was a slightly toasted noodle dish with apples and spices*
Apples and noodles...
*Alex spooned a small portion onto Cora's plate, then his own. Next was a potato salad, which was similarly dolloped onto both plates*
Apple potato salad, and...
*The final dish was a garnished squash, baked and stuffed. Alex cut one in half and served half to Cora and half to himself. He made certain the portions were small, just a few bites each*
Apple filled Acorn Squash! Go ahead, Cora, but don't get full. There's still a great deal left to try.

Oh my goodness! Alex!
:::She chuckled::: At the rate we're going, I will explode before long...
:::But it didn't stop her from taking her spoon and trying a bite of each. She didn't care for the noodles much, but the potatoe salad was very good, as was the squash...
And you said that there are apples in all three of these? Wow... they all taste so different...

*Alex brought out a wine bottle and a cooking pan*
Jablka Na Winie Czerwonym. Baked Apples with wine.
*Alex pulled out a stuffed apple and cut it in half, serving one half to Cora and one half to himself. He then poured a wineglass for Cora and himself*
Sangria Blanco. Apple Wine. Please, enjoy...

:::At this she beamed. What a wonderful thing. All the food and drink she'd ever enjoyed but in all sorts of new ways. It was so kind of him:::
:::She lifted her glass after he poured it, remember a couple other occassions:::
Do we toast?

:::She lifts her eyes in thought, holding the glass in the air:::
To apples... and to discovering new pleasures!
::She waited to see if he had anything to add:::

Certainly...
:::She smiled sipping. Greatful that she wouldn't have to eat for a couple more minutes:::
Fwoo... :::She held her tummy with one hand::: It's all very wonderful Alex. Thank you.

I'm glad you think so. It took me a great deal of time and practice to get it right. I'm really not the greatest cook ever, but dedication and practice overcomes any obstacle.
