"So the King will be fine?" Ashley asked then she looked at Hareper sympathetically "I'm sorry that I had to be the bearer of bad news"

Ashley was still a bit worried but was sure that Hareper knew what he was doing and trusted him quite allot.

"Thank you" she said briefly and then began to look out the window, nothing was unusual nor out of place. It almost seemed like nothing had happened, no body was killed, there was no attack, nothing to show for what just happened. Now she understood how come Hareper hadn't known what was going on.
It was still bright and sunny out. The clouds hung in the sky like enormous cotton balls strung through the air and left to float there for a while. Looking down upon the village there was still no hint of a disturbance, children were running and playing with their siblings while their mothers were at the market or hanging cloths to dry. Yes, this seemed like a perfect day but Ashley knew that it wouldn't be for much longer

"You know it's quite odd" she paused a moment then noticed she needed to finish her sentence "That we were attacked, and only Alaric, the wounded solider and I knew" she pondered at the thought for a moment "I wonder who would attack us during the day. They must have pretty good tactic to of killed all the guards with out anybody noticing" . Then she sighed "I am a little fearful of what might become of today or even the days following" her eyes sunk down and she moved over to the bed and sat next to Alaric she folded her hands and placed them onto her lap.

Ashley looked back out the window "What?" she asked when he looked out the window "I dont see anything unusual here"

Ashley nodded "yes" she backed away from the window and shut the curtains. "Well, then" she added "I assume you know what we should do" she asked walking from where she had previously stood. Her eyes wondered around the room "Alric and I may be leaving soon to avoid any run ins with the attackers"
she said looking back at Alaric then she quickly turned her head back to face Hareper.

"Well neither seems too pleasant for anyone" she looked down "well I assume that there should be something easier for the both of us I don't want to make this decision too quickly" Ashley then sat in her chair that was against the wall she picked up a glass of water that was setting near the chair and perched upon the side table. She began to sip some water out of the glass.

"Should we wait for more news" she looked around "there hasn't been any signs of them in the castle, not any that I know of.
So wouldn't it be a good idea to stay here until we hear more on the subject." Ashley didn't want to have to take drastic measures until there was no other options.

She walked around the room then she looked at Harper and then looked at how heavy the armer looked and how hot it must of been for him to stay in it for so long. "Hareper, if you would like I would not mind if you went down stairs to some new clothing that must be terribly uncomfortable for you" she didn't sound demanding nor did she sound as if she were flirting, she just simply stated that after she had observed what he was wearing. "If you would like that then if you go down stairs and into the back room of the Kitchen there is a dresser and some clothing inside if you are interested"

she looked back at Alaric "And you to Alaric if you would like to change then be my guest" she thought for a moment then began again. "Alaric, don't you have a room here in the castle?" she asked because she thought that he had well he stayed there every now and then. "Yes so if you would like you may change, I have a feeling we may be in here longer than I had hoped."

Ashley wandered what might be going on around the castle but she didn't want to leave the comfort or the safe presence of her room because that was at the moment the only place that seemed safe, well at least a little bit for now.
